Another great shoot at Kempston Studio, this time with Antonia Jay. One can never tire of this studio because the possibilities with different sets and props are endless. Andy, as usual, was the perfect host, and was available to make any changes requested or offer advice at the drop of a hat.

Highly recommended for beginners through to experienced photographers, and I know that models also love this studio.

Looking forward to my next visit. Thanks Andy.

Another very successful shoot at this great studio this time with Aurora Phoenix.

Andy is a superb host, very welcoming and friendly and always willing to help out with lighting and moving bits and pieces around to suit your requirements. I like to keep the lighting very simple and Andy set this up for me very quickly.

The studio is very well equipped indeed with masses of lighting/props/backdrops to use and Andy makes the place a very safe environment for the models to use.

Highly Recommended to anyone wishing to shoot at this fantastic studio.

Thank you to Andy for a very successful first visit to Kempston Studio. Andy is very organized, enthusiastic and willing to do all the heavy lifting on set.

I arrived early to get the grand tour, then coffee, then we got the lighting out for the first set-up. I’m used to just doing this all by myself, but Andy insists on being the assistant, so I let him get everything rigged up as required.

This was only my second time in a themed studio. The sets are well designed and practical, with a sensible, neutral colour palette, and the furniture and props all work well together. To those of us used to working in professional studios, the space is not huge by any means, but it is perfectly adequate for shooting a single model for glamour sets. The models certainly enjoy working at the studio, so that is always a good sign. A happy model is a productive model!

So, an excellent host; a practical work space; lighting modifier choices to suit your requirements; and happy models. What more could you want? Highly recommended.

I have worked at Kempston Studio many times. This is by far my favourite professional studio to work at! The possibilities are almost endless as to what you're able to create in the studio. SO many sets and everything is interchangeable so it really is very versatile! Andy is ALWAYS on hand to set things up, move things around, make tea/coffee and even supply a HUGE amount of clothes, shoes and accessories for models to use!

The facilities for both models & photographers are superb! It's super important for me to feel comfortable and Andy definitely goes above and beyond to make this happen.

Highly, highly recommended to anybody wishing with work at this amazing studio!

Back at Kempston for the second time this year, for a shoot with Tanya Modele, and another fantastic shoot.

Andy is a great host - good-natured and friendly, ready to keep photographer & model supplied with coffee, But he’s also a great help with the lighting, whether you have a clear idea of the set up you want, the kind of image you want, or if you’re just experimenting. For example, the shoot with Tanya started with some standard portrait lighting, but by the end we had Andy working with multiple gels and he took all our changing of ideas and comments of “too dark” , “more orange”, etc in his stride!

Thanks as ever Andy. Highly recommended.

Rave Review for Kempston Studio!

Kempston Studio absolutely deserves a 5-star rating! I recently participated in 3 sold-out studio days there, and the entire experience was incredible.

Andy, the owner, is the heart and soul of the studio. His kindness and warm hospitality made me feel comfortable and welcome throughout all three days. He even went above and beyond, spoiling me with delicious pecan pastries and the best samosas I've ever had!

The highlight of my time at Kempston Studio was a dedicated 4-hour shoot with Andy himself. Not only is he incredibly talented, but his friendly personality makes him a joy to work with. We collaborated on some fantastic photos, and I can't wait to see the final results!

I'm already booked for more studio days at Kempston, and I can confidently say it's the perfect environment to capture amazing images. Whether you're a seasoned model or just starting out, Andy will make you feel comfortable and help you create stunning work.

I've been looking forward to getting up to Kempston Studio for some time now. I met Andy on a Jake Hicks workshop and was fascinated with what he had managed to create in his space. Amazing studio with so much variety and opportunity to produce creative work. Andy is brilliant and super helpful setting up lights to help maximise your time. I had a couple of ideas I wanted to try and Andy was straight on to it setting up gels and lighting.

Have already discussed another visit and whilst not local to me, it's well worth the drive as you'll be well looked after - Highly recommended

I had another shoot at Kempston today, and as always it was a great shoot,

This time Andy (owner) got Irida at the studio for a studio day, I did 4 hours, and still hardly touched anything at the studio,

Andy has so many different backgrounds which can be moved around to suit the photographer / model

Also there are 100s of props to use from chairs, Lamps, Plants and much more,

Andy is very hard working and from the moment you arrive, he is making tea's and coffees, seeing you need any background changes, or lighting,

Andy is always on hand to help, he is very down to earth and respectful to all his models and photographers,

I would always recommend Kempston studio to all models and photographers

On March the 1st I had my second studio day from this incredible and versatile photo location which is one of my favourite places to shoot from!

Kempston studio has everything a photographer needs, amazing lighting equipment and so many fantastic sets and props.

Andy is always happy to help and a fantastic person to be around! I had an incredible day and I'm already looking forward to my return on the 16th of May for the day !

Another studio day at the fabulous Kempston Studios. The studio has so many great set options, is nice and warm and is extremely well organised by Andy. He's always on hand for any help required, especially lighting set ups. Before the day all the comms is brilliant ensuring many photographers are aware and events get fully booked. I just completed a 3-hour tutoring session with Andy at Kempston studio so that I could get some experience using studio lighting.

From first contact, Andy's communication was fantastic. He helped to arrange a casting for a model and prepare me for the day.

With Andy's support I was able to shoot a number of scenes and photographic styles, from softly lit boudoir through to low-key art nude bodyscapes. Andy offered tips throughout, both technical and how to work successfully with a model. Andy gave me room to experiment whilst also providing direction when needed, particularly regarding lighting.

Thanks again Andy, I'll certainly be back to see you soon!

It's always a pleasure to come back to Kempston Studio! It was my third time today and I hope I won't be the last.

It's such a versatile and accommodating place, thanks to Andy who is clearly passionate about his work.

I had a chance to spend a day modeling for a tutoring session and then 1:1 shoot with Andy. Working with him is always very inspiring, and it amazes me every time how many completely different scenes in various moods he is able to create with the studio lighting, backgrounds and props. Of course all of that possible thanks to his expertise and skill.

I hope I'll be back to the studio and thank you so much!

I had another shoot at Andy's studio and once again it was a great experience. Andy is always welcoming and looks after his models and photographers well. Always on hand to help out where required with lighting and sets, and kept the coffee flowing.

This is a great little studio and I will certainly be working there again in the near future. Just love the versatility of this space. Recommended, no, Highly Recommended - YES!

Was great to be back for a sold out studio weekend recently, really love this studio and was great to catch up with Andy again too of course! Andy is such a great host, nothing is ever too much trouble for him, he got lunch both days and kept the tea flowing too.. he even fixed (and added a little extra detail!) to one of my dresses, so thank you so much for that!!! :D

A great weekend, and already looking forward to going back again at some point. If you haven't been to this studio then you definitely need to!

I had my first studio day at Kempston and Andy was absolutely brilliant! The whole day was very well organised, and he made me feel so welcome and relaxed throughout the day, providing endless snacks and cups of tea :) He was constantly on hand to assist with lighting and was checking in to make sure that I was happy and comfortable. I'm really looking forward to my next studio day at the end of the month!

Had a photo shoot with Elouise at Kempston Studio. Correspondence prior to the shoot was excellent and the quality of service remained throughout my time there. I am a new studio photographer and Andy couldnt have been more helpful showing me the equipment and answering the many questions I had. Many of you don't need me to tell you that Andy runs a fabulous studio. I've just completed a shoot there with Eloise H, covering a Hollywood Glamour theme. He is always on hand to help with lighting (and everything else), but we finished with a seven light set-up, that went well above and beyond what I had any right to expect. You're a gent sir.
