I had amazing 2 model studio days at Kempston Studio and I have already booked myself in for 2 more days in December, yay!!! :)

What a fabulous time I had during my visit! I don't often do studio days anymore so I thought that Kempston Studio would be my last studio event for a while but it didn't take me long to change my mind about it after seeing the studio and getting to know Andy!

Andy made me feel so welcome and was so incredibly accommodating, hospitable and thoughtful that I was truly impressed and probably after only like an hour in the studio, I started considering coming back! :D

Throughout the whole day, Andy was making sure that I was happy, fed and watered which was so sweet of him;). I felt really looked after and appreciated that it almost didn't feel like work :). Andy is such a fun, lovely, easy-going person with a great sense of humour! :D .. and at the same time, he's incredibly well-organised, responsive with a great attention to detail. He keeps an eye on time, therefore models don't have to worry about their bookings in that aspect. He creates a safe and comfortable environment for models and photographers making sure everything is right but at the same time, he doesn't interfere with the shoots.

The studio is impressively versatile and diverse with so many sets! Everything is well-thought out and you could easily spend days in there and still come out with various images without being repetitive. There's a separate model changing room with a big mirror and sooo many outfits to use that Andy has collected over years!

Thank you so much, Andy and I'm looking forward to working at your studio again in December! Sorry, you can't get rid of me now ha! :D ♥

First time I have used Kempston as a studio rather than attending a studio day, working with LadyDilema. Andy had got everything set up as requested when we arrived so we were able to get straight into the shoot. He was on hand to help with lighting and offer advice when asked, but otherwise left us to our own devices.

I would definitely recommend the studio and look forward to working there again in the future.

I had the pleasure of first working at Andys fantastic studio on a studio day recently and had an absolute blast! From first meeting Andy he is so personable, warm, down to earth and knowledgeable; that you feel you have known him as a friend over many years! His lighting, lighting techniques and knowledge of photography and his equipment is stunning and impeccable.

He was extremely kind to rearrange my initial studio day booking to two half a days due to a short notice medical appointment and was so accommodating to me which was a weight off of my mind, thankyou. 🌹

His hospitality and knowledge of lighting puts many studios to shame. He instantly made the photographers I had booked on the day feel right at home and was incredibly kind to a beginner photographer that had booked me; kindly sharing his knowledge without second thought.

The studio and equipment (plus props) and sets were excellent and parking was a breeze. Andy creates a safe atmosphere for the model to work in and is always a short distance away in his office during the shoot should you need assistance.

Andy is a thoroughly decent, kind human being who I hope to work with lots in the future! I can highly recommend the studio to all models and creatives; you will most likely walk away with some of your best photographs yet.

To have achieved over 500 references as a studio in 2 years here on Purpleport (and all whilst initially opening during Covid times!) is extremely impressive and the high praises are well deserved.

When adding references for models, it's easy to forget to thank the studio...and I'm guilty of that. Andy operates a great studio, with everything a photographer might need. He's super helpful and interested in helping the photographer to achieve a great set of images, making suggestions for, and setting up the backdrop and lighting, but without being in any way intrusive. My thanks to you.

There is no photographer , established or unestablished , who couldn't benefit from the professionalism and skillset of this guy . Not to mention he is a very , very kind and considerate guy, obviusly acutely intelligent and , ehh.. he is Einstein , that is now my new nickname for you Andy haha!! ...

I need you to come and build my a wall of daylight haha!!

If you've not been to Kempston , then you should . It is likely one of the best places to start as an upcoming photographer .

Anyway , i could ramble on some more , but better to go and see for yourself .

What a great studio space!

Andy, the owner, has used some very clever ideas to make the most of his space. Tons of sets, loads of equipment, plenty of advice and assistance if needed and just a really cool space to shoot and work in.

100% recommended by me and won't be my last visit either....

Third time shooting at Kempston studios and as always Andy the host was on hand to assist with the lighting and movement of the furniture and to chat. Andy makes sure that you always get the best from his studio plus you always get loads of coffee. See you soon

12.05.2023 Had my first shoot at Kempston Studio on one of the model days. I had booked two slots lasting 4 hours in total, with a lunch break in the middle, with Kate Stardoll.

Andy was very welcoming and set up the first part of the shoot using the lightwall. We then progressed through the 'panelled room' and finally to a yellow backdrop paper with strobes. Andy was there to move everything around for the different scenarios, set up lights and provide advice when required but otherwise was in his office and unobtrusive. There is a good selection of props and clothing.

Had my first studio day at Kempston Studios today. Andy was as inviting as always and he was on hand to help with setting up different lighting scenarios and backdrops.

Andy was there when I needed his advice and help, but also allowed one to one time with the model. The 2hr slot I booked flew past. Time flies when you're having fun!

I had a great time and look forward to my next visit to Kempston Studios! I just wish I'd booked a longer slot!!!

Had my first visit to Kempston studio, and it will not be my last.

Andy, the owner was on hand to move furniture and set lighting as required, also makes a very good cup of tea.

The studio has many shooting areas which seem to appear from nowhere, a very clever use of space. Plenty of props etc.

Thank you Andy for a superb session, I will be back.

INFINITY Model

Another successful sold out studio day at Kempston Studio. Andy as always was welcoming and was on hand throughout the day to help with the shoots, which makes the day so much smoother and enjoyable. Andy is a wonderful host and looked after me well, really enjoyed my day and I'll be back for sure. The studio itself is brilliant, so many different sets to work with which allows for infinite looks and guarantees great results.

As always highly recommended and I look forward to being back, thanks Andy!

Spent Wednesday shooting with Theresa at Kempston Studio, nothing was to much trouble for Andy, even producing a bath from out the back. The studio is well equipped. Tea and coffee were on tap all the time. Can't recommend this studio enough great place to shoot.

I just need to say that Andy is by far the best at running a studio

Coffee on tap without even asking.

Cases carried to and from the car without asking.

The constant moving of sets/lights without any hesitation.

His number 1 priority is making sure the model is happy, warm and comfortable.

You are in the best hands possible when shooting at Kempston Studio. The minute you walk in it just feels like home

This was the best studio shoot I've had so far. Well equipped with every possible backdrop you could think of. Andy was lovely alongside the MUA Emilia making for an amazing shoot. The changing room was even stocked up with sanitary products was amazing. I'd highly recommend Andy and Kempston Studio.

My first studio day at Kempston Studio hosted by Andy and couldn't have gone better. Pre-comms with Andy were straight to the point, arranged the date and time for the shoot. The studio has many areas/sets to work and Andy had everything ready prior to my arrival. He is very respectful, knowledgeable and helpful, during the day and made sure everyone was comfortable, food and beverages were also available.

I truly recommend this studio in Bedford to anyone looking to shoot a variety of styles/sets/ideas, you will not regret it.

I had an amazing time and can't wait to be back either for another studio day, group shoot, workshop or just to shoot my own content.

Had a 2 day studio visit at Kempston studio hire.

I stayed the night before at a close by hotel and Andy (studio owner) kindly collected me in the morning to bring me to the studio.

The studio is a good sized space with lots of photographic potential as each corner is and can be made into a unique set. There is so much that you do the ideas are endless, very clean area as is the toilets and model dressing room which is full of lingerie , costumes and outfits, and model necessities.

Andy offered me tea ☕️ or coffee throughout the days and bought me lunch both days, I felt soooo welcomed and well looked after.

Andy was always on hand to adjust lightings sbd sets and even made a gorgeous set from pillows and blankets which is easily my most favourite set of the 2 days, so creatively beautiful!

I had a wonderful time and cannot recommended highly enough this studio

Organised Chaos

Kempston Studio is my home base studio & the reason for this is the brilliant studio owner Andy who is constantly the reason for improvements in my photography & I am very thankful that this most decent man is there to help me improve in all aspects of photography.

Also worth noting that when you look at all this studio has to offer it beats easily the other studios in the area but is also very much easier on the pocket for hiring than others in Beds,Bucks & Northamptonshire when you also take into account parking being outside the studio & free, the abundance of props & constantly being more stocked with props.

Andy is a brilliant at post work on images,dressing sets & always finding that something to make it better such is the meticulous nature he has.

I can confidently say I have never had a more positive studio experience.

From day 1 Andy’s communication has been nothing short of flawless. He greeted me at the train station with a big smile und drove me to the hotel, giving me a quick tour of Bedford in the process.

I shot at Kempston for 2 days when I wish I could stay there as the resident modelling menace. The changing room is cosy and comfortable, with a big light up mirror and a dressing table, which are perfect for makeup application and hair styling. There is a huge variety of clothing in so many different styles - from tops and dresses, to lingerie and costumes, retro, modern, beachwear, steampunk, bridal, you name it!

The studio itself provides a number of backdrops and sets, props and furniture. There is everything one could ask for, from simple flat colours to fully fully furnished living room sets with a fake fireplace and a window. We shot in every corner!

Andy always made sure I am warm enough, well rested and comfortable. He’s extremely polite, funny and just pure joy to work with.

I can’t recommend this place enough and I truly hope I get to come back someday :)
