References for JD tuition

TODAY I had the most interesting session with JD Tuition. very often i turn up to do a shoot and the lighting is arranged for me, i am asked what would i like and i sort of infer what im thinking of..... but that all changed today. i have been able to learn about the lighting in the studio, of course Rome was not built in a day, but i have the basics, and i was able to get images that show clever and thoughtful lighting was used in the production of the images....

i am thrilled with the session and the results, i was also able to get some wonderful body scapes at the end of the session, with wonderful lighting....

thank you so much....very knowledgeable gentleman, the day was a pleasure.

I attended a studio lighting workshop today arranged by J D Tuition with Misuzu as model.John is very good at what he does and I really enjoyed the day.

John and I have worked together a number of times over the years and have recently decided to team up to do some workshops together! We had out first one on Wednesday and it went wonderfully.

John is such a lovely human being, working with him is always a pleasure... but working alongside him was even better :)

He is very knowledgable about all aspects of photography and has a lovely way of imparting this knowledge with others. The first workshop went so well, I'm looking forward to many more :)

This was the first time I'd attend a studio lighting workshop. JD Tuition was so helpful helping to setup my camera to work with the studio flash units. Misuzu as model was very friendly and posed wonderfully. A fun and lovely day will book again.

This shoot was a proof, that I am not suitable for remote shooting... Whatever that is....

This feeling, when you can see your friend after a long time, walking together, chatting, enjoying the beautiful weather and taking pictures. When you have a ladybird on your hand or a butterfly right next to you. The smell of the grass, the blue sky over your head and the real photographer in front of you. Real life, real people, real feelings.

No one has invented the remote, which can can control all that.

It was lovely to finally see you John. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

John being the incredibly knowledgeable photographer that he is, was the natural choice for my first ever actual remote shoot. Shooting more to test remote functionality, to excise bugs and look for ways to make if flow John was no disappointment. He was there waiting for me patiently whilst I set up, and despite a short communication hiccup everything ran smoothly.

After the shoot John articulately proposed to me ways to improve remote shooting, suggestions on how to advertise it best so photographers knew what to expect and how it worked and also suggested ways to make it easier.

I have worked with John on many different occasions in a group setting and 1-2-1. This time John asked me to model for a lighting workshop.

Comms were fabulous, as always, lots of details and information, he kept me properly in the loop and I knew what to expect which was perfect. He event dropped me off home after the event which was really lovely.

John is a talented photographer, worked will with the attendees and organised the event well.

I would certainly recommend John... He is lovely to work with on a 1-2-1 basis, kind, polite, respectful and friendly.

Another great night at the Excellent Bodyline Studio in Long Eaton, with John's workshop tuition and the fantastic Arabella. Shooting five sets with different themes and light settings looking for that desired result. The evening was excellent as usual and with John available for advice, 1 on 1 Q & A and experience you cant really fail not to achieve!. handouts , info you get it all..

Would recommend JD no matter where the event is , you will not fail to learn something.

I provided the rigging for a workshop run by John and JenniJJ at Rococo Farm, the theme being Shibari with a focus on composition and lighting.

The most important aspect for me as a rigger is good communication from those I'm working with so that we can all achieve the results we're looking for, and in this John was excellent. We walked through the various sets we had planned for the day and discussed different options to achieve the best results, adapting where necessary.

The result was a highly successful workshop where both photographers attending were able to get a wide range of shots of the lovely JenniJJ tied up with John teaching along the way and keeping things flowing nicely.

It was a real pleasure to work with such an experienced photographer and watch in turn as he taught others. The atmosphere was fun and thanks to a joint effort and good communication we were able to keep a rather adventurous schedule running to time.

I am looking forward to working with John at our next workshop and would highly recommend him to those looking for help in improving their photographic skills.

Had a very enjoyable time and rewarded with awesome images of Amethyst, an incredible artistic nude model I've had the privilege of shooting many times, at John's workshop held at Click Away Studio.

John set up four lighting setups covering high and low key lighting for us to use in the three hour session. I was one of six photographers and enjoyed that we were each given timed one on one shooting with Amethyst to get the benefit of her poses which is not achievable when shooting in a group.

John provided any tuition required on lighting, lenses, settings etc. if required.

The session proved productive, enjoyed by all and to be recommended, I will look forward to another.

I had the privilege of John hiring my studio again today with his model Betty B bashful here on PP who it has to be said is a fab fun professional model. John as always great to have in the studio as he is brilliant with his lighting and even though I haven't seen the pics hes working on i just know they will be awesome. Always a pleasure to have him here and as always hes the total professional both with the studio and its equipment and also when working with the model. Highly recommended to models and studio owners by me.

It's always good to listen to someone who's been doing something alot longer than you. John's technical knowledge is unequaled, especially in the field of lighting and metering. He's very easy to talk to and isn't bombastic at all for such an experienced photographer. He helped me achieve some really nice photos in a Film Noir workshop today. Its an area I have virtually no experience in. I wouldn't hesitate in attending one of John's workshops again.

Two years later, and another opportunity to catch up with John on today's JD Tuition Art Nude workshop, featuring stunning model ~ Amethyst.

A bit of a drive to Wednesbury but well worth the journey with plenty of pics to show. Two easy setups, one on white, the other on black; easy to understand and replicate.

Top bloke, John; great model. Great workshop. Highly recommended!

I first met John in a workshop he organised. Regardless of your level of photography, you will enjoy talking to John. His long career in photography will benefit you, amuse you, and you will definitely enjoy taking photos with him.

Do I recommend his workshops and events? Yes of course. You will not only meet an expert photographer, but also an amazing and interesting person.

I attended an experience day that John ran with Jenni at Rococo Farm on Monday. I had a great time - John is an amiable sort with lots of knowledge to share, and organised a very good day of shooting. Recommended!

Nothing negative at all to say about this gentleman, Loved every minute of the group shoot & what a tutor!

I came away from Bodyline Studio, with a lot more knowledge that I went in with.

This guy is unique in the way he shows you how things work to get the best results in photography.

Had a awesomee, lighting tutorial with you John, came out with some brilliant shots, with one of the best models, I've ever worked with ( Black Beauty )
