JD tuition "on the ball outstanding creative" and top organised event studio photoshoots! ...novice or pro you can always learn from John... Highly respected Man and Gent...He cares about Models and results! I was lucky to be in the right place and time yesterday! We all got great shots...The models worked above professional at the highest levels....the Tanks shoot was a great success! 10/10. Thanks to all the creatives who did a great job in the November sunshine!...Monumental day!

I have now attended two of John’s lighting training sessions and both have been fun.

John has a skill to locate outstanding models mixed in with interesting lighting scenarios you have the ingredients of a fun three hours.

The events are both instructional, and highly social as you have the opportunity talk to fellow photographers while at the same trying lighting scenarios that you can use in your future shoots.

A very enjoyable informative and recommended experience.

The Attic Studio

John held his second workshop at our studio today with Amber Belle modeling. As the previous workshop it was well received by the photographers and ran very well.

Some nice lighting set ups and ran like clockwork with great interaction with the model and photographers. Hopefully the start of a great series of events.

I had my second workshop with John over the weekend at Attic studio in Leicester and it went even better than our first (which went pretty well!)

Again it was clear that all attendees were engaged and enjoying the sets. Everyone was looked after and had a good amount of time to shoot with me.

I was kept in the loop with plans for the day and everything I needed to bring along so that we could be as organised as possible.

Truly an enjoyable experience and I can't wait for our next workshop :)

John and I had our first workshop together at Bodyline recently and I'm so happy with how it went.

I think you could measure the success of the night on how much everyone enjoyed themselves and it was clear that all togs were having a wonderful time!

Even though this was something quite different and testing for us, John remained his patient, cheery self and was the perfect host and teacher all evening.

We're having round two at The Attic in Leicester soon and I can't wait :)

I attended my first workshop at Bodyline studios with John and Amber Belle as the model.

John provided excellent guidance and used five different lighting setups in different parts of the studio.

I totally enjoyed the evening and came away with more understanding of lighting techniques and many images to edit.

I highly recommend John and his workshops to anyone either new to studio lighting or like me looking to expand their knowledge.

The Attic Studio

John and I had discussed running so.e workshops at the studio. We arranges a couple to get the ball rolling and they sold very well. We held the first yesterday and it was an outstanding success with everyone enjoying themselves. John ran through various lighting g set ups and provided handouts to the attendees.

All in all brilliant to the point that John and I are discussing further workshops.

John offered a two hour lighting course as a competition prize whih I was fortunate to win.

We arranged to use the Lampworks Studio for this. My main aim for this was to get to explore the low light capabilities of my new mirrorless camera with guidance from Jon and also some lighting set ups that I have not had good results with previously.

John explains things very clearly, with explanations why, which has given me more confidence in using my new camera and setting up lighting.

With Vampire Princess as my model we produced photos whch I am very pleased with and without having to 'shotgun' a pose to achieve what I was aiming for.

I will certainly be asking John for help again in the future.

JD Tuition attended my home alongside Misuzu for a bespoke low key and natural light photoshoot, John is very knowledgeable and is able to put his ideas across in a very logical manner and he is also a very friendly person.

I learnt alot on the day, not only about lighting setups but also to see photographic opportunities around the home.

I had a great time working with both JD Tuition and Misuzu and I would highly recommend them to any photographer/model.

I attended a high key lighting workshop hosted by JD Tuition and Misuzu and it was fantastic!

The knowledge John has got is second to none. I managed to get some amazing photographs from the shoot with the amazing model Misuzu.

I highly recommend JD Tuition for any workshop he is organising.

This was the second workshop I've attended with JD tuition and Misuzu both are very experienced in what they do. John explains in a very clear and simple way what he is doing, allowing you to have ago and try yourself. I would highly recommend JD tuition.

JD Tuition gave a lighting workshop tutorial today at our small studio in Nuneaton. Very informed, skilled and experienced photographer who is able to pass information to less experienced photographers in a fun and very hands on way. JD is very patient and able to tailor the tuition to the individual needs of all the attendees. It was a privilege to be able to model for this event and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I attended a workshop organised by John at Pathways Studio Chester, John’s a very good and most informative tutor. He is able to pass on knowledge in a relaxed and practical manner which is also interesting, and great fun. I’ve been photographing for many years now but John gave great tips and ideas

This was an event, where another photographer and I explored the possibilities of studio lighting within the genre of art nude and bodyscape photography. John is a very good, laid-back and most informative tutor. He is able to pass on knowledge in a relaxed and practical manner which is also interesting, and great fun. I certainly learned a lot and am looking forward to putting it into practice. For anyone who wishes to learn more about studio lighting in general I would thoroughly recommend JD Tuition, without hesitation.

I attended an event arranged by JD and Misuzu. There was just one other photographer and it worked very well. We got a good amount of shooting time each and John was able to give us plenty of assistance. He both helped us with our own ideas and added his own suggestions. I recommend his events to other photographers out there.

As an added bonus, to convince me how good his Sony α7R III was, he let me use it for the shoot so my antique Canon gear stayed in my pack.

I attended a workshop today run jointly by John and Misuzu where we focused upon low-key lighting, particularly for bodyscapes.

The workshop was well organised and I learned a lot - and with just two photographers together with John and Misuzu, it meant that we could both benefit from much more of his attention. After a great introduction to setting the lighting up to achieve what we wanted, John let us loose to experiment with what we had learned, but was on hand to offer support and help correct mistakes.

Great communication, a fun workshop and I was very impressed with the results and hope to apply the knowledge again soon. I would not hesitate in recommending one of their workshops.

Today I had the pleasure of working with John, very ably assisted by Misuzu as our model for the day at a workshop, designed specifically around our interests as photographers. This was a small group - John provining the lighting and styling tuition, Misuzu modelling beautifully and Ed Cawdron as the second photographer.

Having respoded to John's casting, the four of us worked together, exchanging ideas, ending up with a (mainly) low key bodyscape and styling workshop. Great communications between all involved helped to get a workshop where the majority of my images are super.

Having worked though the 'technical' bits in the first two hours, Ed and I were able to work with Misuzu 'playing' to create some beautiful images.

I would happily with with all three of these lovely people again; I would highly recommend these workshops and would readily go to Unit17Studio in Nottingham again.

Very good lighting workshop with John and Misuzu working as a team . John clearly explained how he sets up his lights to achieve desired effect. Misuzu then creates poses to demonstrate what can be achieved. Plenty of time to allow some portfolio building! John very flexible to keep both a fairly experienced studio worker and another with little practical experience happy. A 4 hour session allows plenty of opportunity to cover most of easily repeated setups.
