Yesterday I took part in an excellent lighting workshop. Organised and led by John, with the lovely Samantha Alexander at Catfish Studio.

A very rewarding and educational event, as they always are with John.

Lots of different scenarios and lighting conditions, lots of helpful advice, suggestions and ideas. Both I and the other photographer benefited greatly from John's extensive knowledge and experience.

Will definitely continue to work with John and recommend him to any

photographer or model without hesitation.

I had the pleasure of working with John again yesterday, we did a shoot at the X factory with the lovely Misuzu. I had asked John to help me with several issues that i wanted to improve on. He is an excellent tutor, very quickly identifying where I was having problems and suggesting ways to improve my technique. He is incredibly knowledgeable and has a lifetime of experience to call on. His gentle and relaxed style made the session very enjoyable but also extremely educational.

John has a great deal to offer, not only to beginners like me but to anyone who wants to improve their photography.

I look forward to working with John again and wholeheartedly recommend him.

I worked with John again with another photographer that he was mentoring. I've left a few references for John before on his personal profile and one on this page too, so I'll try not to repeat myself too much... ;)

John is wonderful. He's easy going and professional but still fun to work with. His images are always great and he plays around with different lenses and effects which just makes it all the more fun! He really knows what he's talking about (and as a photographer myself, I always pick up hints and tips while I'm working with him, even though I'm just there to model).

I would definitely recommend John to any beginner photographer or anyone one just looking to further their knowledge in photography. As a model, I will definitely keep working with John for as long as he wants to work with me and would recommend him to any model, new or experienced.

It was great working with John again yesterday. This time it was a shoot with Misuzu using natural light in an urban environment. As always John was extremely helpful, always knowing when help was required with his gentle way of imparting knowledge. I learn so much in each session and also find out that I have much more to learn!

Attended a Film Noir themed workshop with John at Myk G studio. A really enjoyable and educational experience. John has a very relaxed and informal style but uses his extensive knowledge and experience to great effect. I recommend him to anyone without reservation and look forward to working with him again.

John held a workshop at my studio with Chelseachick and what a great workshop it was. I know the togs present benefited from John knowledge and know how. Chelsea was awesome and I know all the togs left with amazing pics thanks to John's lighting and great modelling by Chelsea. John is a lovely guy and I highly recommend him to both models and togs. If your thinking of doing one of his workshops do it. You wint be disappointed I'm pleased to say he's back with another one at my studio soon and I'm looking forward to it very much. Thank you John for being a top man.

Today John and I got together to do a low key workshop at MYK G studio.

WOW what a success. John has had many years trying various lighting techniques. He absolutely mastered the lighting today . He was extremely helpful and offering lots of advice for those that needed it . John took a step back from shooting to let the other photographers have set times with me so that I was able to use as many props before time run out .

So with my case of stainless steel wares and Johns creative lighting we smashed our shoot today . Very very successful and productive day 😊.

As alway I can’t recommend John highly enough 😊👍.

I contacted John and asked for his help and advice with my first Studio/model shoot. John organised everything, the studio, a beautiful model (Lexy) and very importantly, John himself was there to help guide me through the session. He is a an incredibly skilled photographer with lots of experience and knowledge. His relaxed and friendly teaching style is perfect for someone as inexperienced as myself. A very enjoyable and instructive few hours. I look forward to working with him again.

Would recommend John to anybody, novice or experienced photographer alike, i think he has a great deal to offer.

John was excellent at guiding his photographer in how to shoot models in both natural light and studio settings. Not only is it his knowledge that makes him an excellent tutor, but his easy going manner makes him very approachable.
