Techquila Photography

I've photographed in a number of different genres - landscape, sport, street - for many years, and occasionally that has included some portraits. I shoot both digital and film and I particularly like the slower pace of shooting on film.

Last year I made my first real foray into shooting portraiture and I've learned a lot through working with some excellent, creative people from PP.

I enjoy collaborating with models on my shoots. I usually start out with a pretty good idea about what I want to get out of a shoot, but I really enjoy bouncing ideas back and forth between shooter and model and I find that this process always leads to better results. If I book you I will usually try to share a mood board of inspirational images for the shoot that I have planned, and I always welcome a model's input at this stage as well as on the day. I'm based in Oxford but happy to travel although my day job usually means that weekends are the only times that I can do that.

• Film noir / 40's Hollywood glamour
• Aerial dance (silks, trapeze, hoops)
• Japanese traditional dress
