This is one of the best studios I have used. Plenty of space, excellent lighting equipment, good facilities and clean toilets - all backed up by the friendly and helpful Stephan (who brews and excellent cup of tea). Highly recommended.

Ive worked at Matchbox and always love it. The natural light is superb and there are so many props and little areas to shoot , you can easily fill any time with ideas. Plus you get such a lovely greeting and feel really looked after. A very special place to work. Completely recommend it

Awesome Studio, very well equipped, welcoming and friendly with tea and coffee when needed, warm dressing room with ample lighting and mirrors for easy changing and retouching of make up.... would use again in a heartbeat.

I had a shoot with the lovely Anita de Bauch at Matchbox Studio on Tuesday. It is the second time I have used the studio and would definitely use it again. The studio is roomy, has a great variety of lighting and also props. Stephan was very helpful and is also a great guy - thank you very much for your help Stephan and helping the shoot to go so smoothly and also for the great cups of coffee. I would recommend this studio to all photographers.

I had my second shoot at the Matchbox Studio on Wednesday this week, and my experience as at the previous shoot, was very good. The studio is very good equipped with a large number of props that can be used to build a large number of scenes and scenarios. As for the light, it has large number of lights and great windows that can provide a fantastic natural light for almost any requirement.

Stephan was great and very supportive and I would recommend any photographer to use the studio.

Just completed a three day photographic odyssey in Gloucester based at Matchbox studio.

I have to say a massive thank you to owner Steve for putting up with me and for all his help and advice which helped me gat some fantastic results from the models that I worked with.

The studio is a fantastic working environment with loads of props to enable you to create numerous 'set' to shoot in and some amazing natural light that I loved trying to cope with.

Thanks again Steve for your warm welcome, your hospitality, help and advice, the fun and the laughs and for your attempt to make a decent cup of Northern Tea.

Had yet another shoot at the fabulous Matchbox Studio in Gloucester today.

I love the versatility of the place. There's both natural light from three large windows and all the lighting equipment you need. There are also plenty of props and a great space to use them in.

Stephan is the perfect host. He leaves you to get on with things but is around to help if necessary and he makes a mean cup of tea!

No doubt I'll be returning again soon. Thanks Stephan :-)

I had my first shoot at Matchbox Studio yesterday with photographer and owner Stephan Blake James, he is such a lovely person and made me feel welcome the second I arrived.

The studio is amazing, it has so much to offer from a private dressing/make up room to various backdrops, props and so much more!

I cannot recommend this studio enough, hope to shoot there again in the future :)

Yesterday, I did a three hour 'photo glam' photo session at 'Matchbox Studio', my first visit to this venue?

A 'photo glam' photo session using 'natural light' that came through windows, along one wall of the studio.

Did not need to use the available flash units, used sets, white space and a few props in the studio space?

No problem with the studio, utilises available space in building than leave space in the building 'empty?' ,

Great Studio!.. Felt Very comfortable working here.. Stephen the owner is lovely and help is at hand should you need any assistance with lights, props etc.. I am very much looking forward to returning to the studio in the near future :)

Having shot at Matchbox, all I can say is that its am amazing studio! Really big, full equipped and Stephen is absolutely lovely! So friendly and always so helpful! Definitely recommended

My first time at Matchbox and all I can say is WOW! Really impressed with the Studio, lots of natural light, big open spaces and well equipped although today I had not need for studio lighting.

I plan on using this studio more, not because it is local to me but for the facilities it provides, and the fact that Steve makes a really good "cup of tea" lol

I would really recommend this studio as once you have been there and used it, you see all it's potential.

I have used Stephen's studio in Gloucester a number of times with different models and it has been great every time. He is always there if you need any help, cup of tea, some props, etc. At the moment he has the use of an empty warehouse, which is a large open area with some large opaque windows, which provide exceptional natural light. He may not have the use of the warehouse for long so you need to get in and grab some fantastic natural light .

I'm a newbie at studio photography - This was only my 2nd experience of taking photographs in a studio but have to say what a great place the Matchbox Studio is.

Was made to feel really welcome from the moment of arrival (luckily I was there to photograph Simone) . The shooting space and props available are fantastic. Loads of lighting options available but didn't need to use them due to the availability of natural light. There was one point where we were looking for additional lighting options and Stephen was straight out to help.

Really enjoyed my time there and would really recommend.

Super day at Matchbox last week during my tour! Stephan was as wonderful as he always is and the studio was fab- superb natural light and plenty of props and lights to pay with too!

Everything was clean, warm and the day flew by! I will definitely be coming back on my next trip down and will be recommending this studio to anyone I can! Thank you Stephan, it was lovely to catch up. :)
