"You're not stuck at home, you're safe at home"

Something I find particularly interesting throughout the lockdown is that people tend to talk as though their homes are prisons, like they're some place truly awful to be. "I'm stuck here.. going stir crazy" etc.

I've tried to understand why spending prolonged amounts of time at home is such a problem for some people.

To those who are priviliged enough to have a roof over their head - don't you cultivate and nurture your surroundings so it's enjoyable to stay? Or were you too used to spending so much time away, unable to see the importance of creating a space to reflect your energy and enhance your wellbeing?
