References for Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Had my second shoot at Basford. This studio is informative, friendly and organised some great events with excellent models. This time I was shooting Sophia Gray for 2 hours and the facilities were second to none. The natural light is awesome and I am likely to continue shooting at this location.

Had my first visit to Basford Hurst Cottage on Monday for a shoot with Sophia Gray on her three day visit to the location.

A very warm welcome was received on my arrival by owner Leanne.

I found both the indoor, and outdoor locations to be many, and varied. The many rooms all offered their own individual style enabling both natural or as in my case flash lighting to be used. As a bonus the location provides its own private outdoor areas including gardens, woodland, and outbuilding.

A great location for all aspects of model photography, and can be Very Highly Recommended.

This was my tenth (at least) shoot at Basford Hurst and it was, as ever, the most wonderful place to work. From the outstanding natural light, via the abundance of locations both inside and out, to the wonderful welcome and hospitality shown by the hosts Leanne and Simon, Basford Hurst has everything to turn a photo shoot into something quite special and unique. I have, at the moment, four more bookings there which I think, shows my enthusiasm.

I can wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend Basford Hurst as an ideal studio package for all photographers and creative requirements.

My first visit to this Studio at the recommendation of the Model I had the pleasure of working with.

I prefer to shoot in Natural Light and this establishment has it in abundance.

Hospitality provided by an attentive owner made this a productive visit.

What an awesome location!

I went there thinking I was going to use some studio lights and found myself absolutely mesmerised by the beautiful natural light.

The settings are varied and very flexible and on the way home from the shoot I came up with at least another dozen settings and ideas.

This studio/environment is creatively very stimulating and makes photographing models such a delight

Instructions regards the location (directions, parking, equipment, furniture, props, etc) were second to none and I was left to work in a fantastic environment.

I have no hesitation to recommend this studio at all.

Have now has shoots at Basford Hurst on three occasions and the location keeps getting better and better. Interesting spots, beautiful light. The facilities are second to none and the host was friendly and extremely helpful with making rooms, sites available.

I imagine I will keep coming back to this studio as Leanne has created an environment which makes creative sense.

This was my first visit to Basford Hurst cottage. Leanne made me feel very welcome from the very start.

When we arrived we where given a tour of the premises, and offered plenty of areas to shoot our images.

I am new to location photography and had a very enjoyable afternoons photography in a relaxed atmosphere.

Thank you Leanne, I hope to be returning soon.

Had a great time at Basford Hurst. I'd been there previously on a workshop, but it didn't live up to expectations and I didn't get any shots then, but I could see that it had great potential so booked a shoot myself.

Miss_c was a great host, communication was excellent. She was most welcoming when we arrived, giving us a brief but thorough tour of all of the potential shoot areas, and then leaving us to get on with things.

The location has many great areas to shoot, especially if you like natural light as I do, both indoors and outdoors.

We were able to quite a number of shots that I am really pleased with, and as the light changes you can multiple different styles of images in the same place.

Overall an excellent location and host, highly recommended, and I'd definitely return.

This was my first time at this location and it did not disappoint.

It is really only limited by your imagination, especially if you are looking for the 'classic house' look for your images.

There are multiple rooms already to a very high standard and Leanne and her partner are in the process of improving the facility even further but you can already tell that the eye of a model/photographer has been involved in the layout at the location

I had organised my visit as a group shoot (3 photographers and 3 models) when one of the models had to drop out just the day before so we arranged for Leanne to step in as a replacement model and as such she was on double duty on the day as both host to the group and model within the same group. She did both tasks simultaneously and seamlessly and every one agreed that it was a really pleasurable day with great images produced.

Can I think of an improvement to this location - move it closer to me ;)

If you cannot get great images here then you may as well take your camera back to the shop!

Just had my second visit to this wonderful studio to shoot with Miss_C

A warm greeting as always followed by 5 fabulous hours of shooting inside and out.It's such a fabulous place with wonderful natural light....especially in those little places you may walk by.....not that we did....nothing eluded us.

Finished the afternoon off in the woods after a little session in the awesome outbuilding.No wonder that this place is so popular.....and you can always find something different to a previous visit.

A great day was had and some fab images shot......highly recommended and I look forward to my next visit.

My thanks to Leanne for her hard work and excellent posing,and as always,making me feel very welcome.

Another great shoot at my favourite studio and once again with Ivory Flame.Leanne was the host today and as always she made us welcome.The shoot was for 4 hours and as always the time flew by but the weather was sunny and we were able to get some good shots both outside and in.

Once again I would highly recommend Basford Hurst Cottage.

My first visit here was certainly an enjoyable one. There are countless areas to shoot in the house and grounds & I had a good go at trying to utilise them all. I’ve got loads of images to work though and a real variety too - I’ve already made a start and will keep many of them. Leanne was very welcoming and friendly as we chatted and looked around her facilities and was happy for me to move things around at will. There is something for everyone at BHC and I suggest you go use it, you won’t be disappointed.

I had my second shoot at Basford Hurst earlier this week, this time with the wonderful Leanne, the studio owner, herself.

What is there to add to what others have said? It really is a fantastic location, with lots of options inside and out. The main rooms are beautiful and benefit from some great natural light, but there are also opportunities for something more gritty in the outbuilding, and of course there is the ample woodland on site as well - I have yet to shoot in the latter, but it is definitely in my plans for the future.

On top of that Leanne is a friendly and helpful host.

Definitely recommended.

I had the pleasure to have my first shoot at this delightful location with Steve Mitchell.

If you enjoy modelling or are a photographer this place has so much going for it with such a large variety of different spaces to shoot both inside and outside. The owners are very well organised and welcoming it is a great experience and a real highlight in my modelling journey.

I think we could have genuinely stayed for another day at least as we had lots of more ideas that we could have tried.

Would I go back? Well that’s a definite yes and I would highly recommend this location to any model or photographer who wants adds quality images to their portfolio.

I had a very successful photo session at Basford Hurst Cottage yesterday with model Rebecca Perry. I had heard good things about the location and they certainly proved to be true. The house has a number of rooms of different types in which to work, and I found everything to be clean and well maintained. In addition to that, the areas around the house proved to be good for photography, as well.

On a personal level, my communication with Leanne was very good over the months leading up to this. I also enjoyed speaking with her in person, and she proved to be a very gracious and welcoming host.

Overall, I would definitely recommend Basford Hurst Cottage as a location, and I look forward to returning to photograph there again one day.

Another great shoot at Basford, the location is spot on, with loads of shooting opportunities indoors and outdoors, you will struggle to get around it all in one day! There is a great range of kit available should you need it but also plenty of great natural light spaces to shoot in. There is always a friendly welcome and help and advice on hand. Very very highly recommended :)

One of my favourite places to work so I had to return to the amazing Basford Hurst Cottage studio, this time to work with the lovely Caitlyn J and Jasmine whilst Caitlyn was there for a couple of days.

This studio is one of the most organised and coordinated you will ever visit. Perfect pre visit comms and lots of helpful advice and assistance to maximise your experience whilst your there. From the minute you walk in the door your made to feel welcomed with a cheerful friendly smile from Leanne and Simon followed by a welcome brew and snack. The venue itself is amazing and such a creative space with beautifully styled rooms where you can take full advantage of the wonderful natural light that is in abundance, or you can use their inhouse artificial lights if required.

It was a very relaxed, creative and enjoyable afternoon, and you couldn’t wish for better hosts or a better venue. It’s fantastic to see how the studio continues to transform with each visit, and exciting to hear of the next planned enhancements.

If you are lucky enough to get the chance to attend this fantastic studio, then you’re in for an amazing shoot. Very highly recommended.

Wonderful location :)

This was my first time attending an event at Basford Hurst Cottage and definitely will not be the last one.

Leanne did give me a tour of the cottage before I started working with Caitlyn.

The place is awesome, with plenty of natural light and has a classy and elegant feeling.

I felt instantly inspired by the beauty of the place.

A dream place for photographers and models which offers so many possibilities.

Really pleased to have been to Basford again to shoot Caitlyn, lovely to catch up with Leanne and Simon. As ever its a great location with lots of scope for memorable images a lovely bit of woodland to the side is the star feature for me you could be miles away but actually just a stones throw from the house.

Leanne kept me going with essential black coffee and Ive got pictures to sort through to remind me of another lovely day out. thanks!
