Basford Hurst Cottage Photograph Location I can only say wonderful things about this studio simply because it is. This place ticks every single box you could think off. The natural is outstanding and I shot towards the evening and it was raining but you have so much room for light stands if you want to use them. But the one thing that stands out for me for such a large place was how clean it was from the bathrooms to the shooting spaces which is brilliant for the models staying there or the one or two you bring with you. Can’t wait to shoot there again hopefully with the incredible lady that runs the place miss_c

Great location, excellent variety in the rooms, Leanne is always welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable and the whole place is immaculate and very well maintained.

I didn't have the time to use the outbuilding, though that looks as though it would be a cool location with the right model, maybe next time... :-)

Basford Hurst is a go to location for me when I can.

Leanne and Simon are perfect hosts and I've been here a good few times now. This shoot was with the wonderful Caitlyn who did not disappoint!

The weather was kind to us and I used the awesome natural light for the whole session.

As well as digital I shot with a mamiya 120 film camera so hoping these will be as good as the digital images.

Back to Leanne who is the most organised studio host I know. Her communications are always bang on.

Basford Hurst must be one of the nicest places to work in the country.

I'm looking forward to my next visit later in August and Caitlyn was so good I rebooked her for March next year.

Come to Basford Hurst. You will love it :)

I had my second shoot at Basford Hurst Cottage recently. On arrival I was greeted by Leanne who was again very friendly and welcoming. She took time to show me around and offer drinks. The property is in a great location and includes a wooded area outside, the numerous rooms inside give plenty of choice for shooting in, which we exploited greatly. Leanne was always on hand to help when needed.

Basford Hurst Cottage is a stunning shoot space, which I highly recommend, and will definitely return to again.

Absolutely stunning location.

I shot with @matthill at this beautiful cottage & honestly its the best place i have shot in a while.

There is so many rooms with so many different looks you can create & with the 4hrs we shot there we completed every look we planned & more.

I cant wait to go back and shoot some more at this beautiful cottage & leanne the owner eas absolutely lovely made sure we was on and on hand to help with anything we needed.

I finally got the chance to shoot at Basford Hurst Cottage with studio owner and model Miss C. This was my first time shooting with her at the cottage and my second time shooting with her in general, not to mention my first visit.

After arrived on time, i was given a tour around of the location before i began to working with Leanne. We worked hard to capture lots of lovely images despite me still being fairly new to photography, however my willingness to learn and explore new ideas, especially as this was a location shoot rather than a studio set up.

I look forward to going back to Basford Hurst Cottage very soon!!

It was my first time shooting at Basford Hurst Cottage on Monday with GJP and this venue does not disappoint. It is stunning, has so many different areas to shoot in and Leanne is a wonderful host. She'd even set up a welcome sign for our arrival.

I had so much fun exploring all the shooting possibilities and hope that I get to return for another shoot.

I was delighted to shoot at Basford again for the third time, this time a duo shoot with Caitlyn. and Meg Modelling. Once again, Leanne was an amazing host and made sure that we all had everything we needed for a great shoot. She set up some lights for me which I feel guilty for not using in the end as the sun was out and the natural light good! We shot at varied points around the house, quite a bit downstairs with the large windows but also at the top of the stairs and one of the bedrooms. Brilliant to shoot here again, I really enjoyed it and such great hospitality, highly recommended.

I've two incredible studio weekends at Basford, the first with the fantastic Meg Modelling, and the second solo. I had heard nothing but wonderful things about this space, and about Leanne, so knew I had to get a few dates in the diary to see it for myself.

I knew from precomms alone, that these weekends would be lush and easy, and my suspicions were proven right as soon as I arrived! Leanne and Simon are so welcoming, easy to work with and really went above and beyond to make these weekends as perfect as possible. The shooting spaces are immaculate and perfectly clean, flooded with beautiful natural light. I'm so thrilled with how these weekends went, this space attracts some lovely photographers, who all shot the space differently - there are endless possibilities for shooting here, both outdoors and indoors. During my solo weekend, I also stayed at Basford, which was very comfortable and much appreciated.

This space is exceptional and I can't wait to be back, Leanne and Simon deserve every success they are having with their studio! Cannot recommend enough and can't wait to be back next year! :)

Just had a wonderful duo shoot today with the two sweetest and exquisitely beautiful of models, Caitlyn J and Megan Farmer, at the gorgeous Basford Hurst Cottage Studio.

A huge thanks to Leanne for organising such a terrific event, at your beautiful home / studio and for such a warm welcome from yourself, and husband Simon too. After seeing all of the stunning photos from previous photoshoots, it’s somewhere I’ve been wanting to shoot at for a long time, and I wasn’t disappointed. So many amazing rooms to use, all immaculately kept and the gorgeous wood panels, beams and flooring everywhere, just glowed in the beautiful natural light from the huge Edwardian type windows.

Leanne gave us the free run of her home and it was such a privilege to hold a photoshoot in such a beautiful setting, with the most beautiful of models….today was like a little piece of Heaven!

We finished off the photoshoot in the beautiful garden, where we took some photos down the tree lined path to the bridge, some next to the rustic old brick outbuilding and the last few shots to end the day, in the corner of the garden, with a back drop of beautiful trees and bushes….we even saw Squirrels and Rabbits too…though sadly they wouldn’t pose for us : )

It was also so lovely to chat with Leanne and Simon after the photoshoot and to hear of some of their exciting plans for their garden and for future photoshoots which they are planning to hold there next year.

Whether you are a model, or a photographer, I highly recommend you using Basford Hurst Cottage, as a gorgeous setting for solo or duo model shoots, or for group themed projects and I so look forward to attending another photoshoot there soon.

PS….I hope Caitlyn and Megan got to see Santa after I went : )

Not sure what I can add to so many references, but I will try. This location is stunning. The hosts are amazing and so helpful. There are endless places to shoot and each location gives you a chance to use a different lighting set ups. The place, considering the size of it, is immaculately presented. Of course the furniture can be moved for a set, as can the props.

Its a wonderful friendly place, with great coffee on tap.

It had been 5 years since I had shot Miss_C so it was very nice to catch up with her again, although this time she was the host at the location.

There is only one problem...........and that is the distance it is from my home. Was the shoot worth a 400 mile round trip. Yes it certainly was. I can not wait to go back there again. Very highly recommended.

Immersive Photography

First time I’ve shot at Basford Hurst Cottage for me whilst shooting with Prestige events and absolutely fell in love with the place.

There was so much to use and so many setups in an absolutely glorious place. Leanne and Simon were the perfect hosts making sure everyone was comfortable shooting and had all their requirements taken care of as well. They were lovely to talk to too and so welcoming.

I’ll definitely be back there again as the place can definitely be used to create top quality images and video.

Well worth the 400 mile, 4 hours each way round trip.

Another visit to this beautiful and unique location hosted so amiably by Leanne and Simon. As a lover of natural light photography, this is a wonderful location. I had the great delight to work with Ballerina Erica Mulkern today so altogether a pretty good visit 😊
