Love working at Basford. The location is brilliant, lots a space to work a whole range of different looks and ideas.

I was doing a shoot with Leanne (Miss C) who is an amazing model and host. She is so easy to work with, relaxed, has great ideas of her own. I had sent her over a mood board with a very Peter Coulson style vibe. She has some amazing outfits, hair and makeup were great.

I had a great shoot and look forward to working with her again...

I attended a shoot organised to help a model with her goal of raising sufficient money to pay for life changing medical treatment not available in this country.

Huge thanks and much appreciation to Leanne, Owen and all the models who made this possible. As expected everything was well prepared. Got to shoot in areas of Basford that I didn’t try last time which was good. Lovely shooting space and a very knowledgeable and friendly host Leanne. I’m sure I’ll be back in 2025.

First time at Basford Hurst - for a fundraising shoot. A great event - very well organised and I managed to used a number of locations within the cottage. Even so, I have barely scratched the surface of what is possible at this fabulous location.

Planning a return trip soon to shoot the owner, Miss_C - looking forward to that!

I kind of think this one needs no words, it is just a given that you will have a fantastic experience at Basford, with the absolutely wonderful host Leanne (and Simon), but for those of you who haven't yet experienced this venue, I shall throw a few words down for you.

Beautiful decor, super range of rooms, wonderful outdoor space, great lighting kit, dedicated changing space, helpful hosts, fantastic communication, ideal for small and large groups.

It is the venue of choice in Staffordshire and beyond. I can't fault the experience I have at Basford. I can totally recommend this to all creatives, if you haven't shot here, you need to add it to your list. I am always looking for good reason to shoot here.

Book Basford, you won't regret it.

Offering big spacious rooms with alot of natural lighting which are all clean and tidy

A few days ago I had the pleasure of experiencing a shoot at the wonderful Basford Hurst Cottage! It's a beautiful, grand property, and the hosts Leanne and Simon were extremely welcoming and fun to spend time with.

Even as an inexperienced photographer, I could see that the property is wonderfully versatile with plenty of opportunities for getting creative!

For my shoot, Leanne and the photographer Owen Lloyd set up a backdrop with overhead lighting in one of the larger rooms with impressive high ceilings! The shoot went really well and some fantastic images were achieved!

I would highly recommend Basford Hurst Cottage to anyone looking for a lovely location with kind, professional hosts. Leanne is also a fabulous model!

My first trip to BHC was absolutely one to remember. Booking on to work with Ell Mae yet again at this stunning venue was a no brainer.

I've heard many times how great it is to shoot here and I'm delighted to say it lived up to the expectations. Booking and pre-comms were smooth, efficient and faultless.

Getting to the venue was also made super straightforward, Leanne having gone to the trouble of producing an informative PDF outlining all relevant information made wayfinding a piece of cake.

A wonderfully warm welcome tour showing the areas available to shoot in, as well as the star Wars room (a personal favourite!) and we were underway without issue. Leanne made sure she was easily approachable for lighting support and to make the shooting space smoke machine suitable with only words of encouragement and support.

All in all, a wonderful experience and I'm looking forward to another opportunity to shoot at this brilliant location during the warmer months and longer days!

The best natural light location to work in so I had to return to the amazing Basford Hurst Cottage studio, this time to work with the lovely Ell Mae while she was there for a few studio days.

This studio is the most organised and coordinated you will ever visit. Perfect pre visit comms and lots of helpful advice and assistance to maximise your experience whilst your there.

From the minute you walk in the door your made to feel welcomed with a cheerful friendly smile from Leanne and Simon followed by a welcome brew and snack. The venue itself is amazing and such a creative space with beautifully styled rooms where you can take full advantage of the wonderful natural light that is in abundance, or you can use their inhouse artificial lights if required.

As always, it was a very relaxed, creative and enjoyable afternoon, you couldn’t wish for better hosts or a better venue. Leanne and Simon are always on hand and happy to adjust or move furnishings around to help you to create your perfect shot. It’s always lovely to return and to see how the studio has evolved from my last visit and to hear about the next planned transformation.

If you are lucky enough to get the chance to work at this fantastic studio, then grab it as you’re in for an amazing shoot. Very highly recommended.

Thanks for your patience and assistance during my visit. Im looking forward to my next visits, which are already in the diary for next year :)

I recently hosted a Christmas Event at Basford with my events company Sphynx Empire. It was my first event and I was a nervous wreak for the day. I cannot say ty enough to Leanne for all the help she gave me!!! I will always now recomend Basford for anyones first shoots or events, I dont think it would of been as easy with Leanne! She is like a right hand man on the day and helps with so many different aspects. When you hit that moment thinking “I need two of me!” You got it with Leanne by your side she was the biggest help I cannot thank her enough!

My partner and I stayed the night before withbour dog so we could set up sets for the next day. Simon and Leanne both greeted us and our dog Daisy with coffees and a warm welcome! Basford is VERY pet friendly! They didnt mind me lettinng her out all night, they even offered to watch my dog while I ran the event! We were trusted run of the home to set up decorations all night and that alone was so comforting, these two are so chill and polite and feel like family when you stay the night! My room was tidy and warm, fresh towels and bedding, I slept so well that night and felt so at home.

The day of the event was amazing! Leanne is so flexible with adding room for more people. She helped everyone park when they arrived, and gave a personal tour to every single model and tog. She offered and made everyone coffees upon arival and even served lunch then cleaned up after every body. Leanne calmed my dog a few times so I was able to shoot and she even made reels of her own for the day!!!!! I am so excited to go back to basford again! Leanne and Simon are the best hosts and the entire day felt like a family Christmas party! Thank you so much for EVERYTHING!!! ❤️

A lovely location for creating some great images of all kinds but especially ambient from the gorgeous windows around the property. Very welcoming, and well laid out with many options for varied themes. Love to shoot again, and thanks for all the coffeeee :-)

I attended an event at Basford Hurst Cottage and oh my goodness what can I say!? Spectacular from start to finish!

Leanne was welcoming, friendly and supportive throughout the day. I really enjoyed chatting with her between sets.

The cottage was warm and absolutely beautiful with so many amazing spaces to shoot. The Christmas set was stunning, and the bathroom was just something else.

It was a 3 hour drive each way for me, but was 100% worth it and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Highly recommended.

I visited basford again this year with creatives. Amazing location and the owners are very welcoming and are a great help with anything including a nice hot drink. The owners leave you to use the facilities and also regularly walk round to see if you need anything or talk to you about your passion etc very lovely people. Definitely recommend to anyone who want that vintage style or even modern style. The cottage was warmed for us and very inviting see you again soon 😊

I believe this was my 4th time at Basford, and altho I now live in Scotland, I am certain it won't be my last...

Leanne is always so welcoming, ensuring you have everything you need, then allowing you to take advantage of the numerous rooms from the two beautiful bedrooms. to the large dining room with the large windows that provide so much natural light.

With it's own grounds closed off from the public, this is an amazing place to book for shoots, with the additional outbuilding and bridge in the woods, there really is so many places to choose from.

With a host of lighting and soft box covers, you are guaranteed to have a great day...

I had the pleasure of attending Basford Hurst Cottage with an invite from the lovely LensFolio.

I was amazed as I pulled up outside the beautiful location and was greeted by Leanne who was so warm and welcoming and was always on hand to ensure we had everything we needed.

The cottage itself is beautiful,it's kept to an exceptionally high standard and with so many areas to shoot from we got several sets in different styles and every single one of them look amazing with the beautiful scenery in the background.

I would recommend anybody to come and utilise this space, one of the best yet ☺️
