References for Art Asylum Reloaded Photo Studio

I've not left a reference for the studio for quite a while...so I will :)

But this one will be slightly different! The studio offers 'Hours Packages' where you buy a set of hours, 10 for example, and get them at a discounted rate. The more you buy the bigger the discount. These days with everything going up, I think this is a great idea! You even get a whole year to use them in :) They've recently started offering similar packages which cover their Studio Days offering more savings.

Talking of Studio Days, plenty of those as well with models from Somerset to London and beyond too.

Give the place a try - you won't be disappointed :)

My very first time shooting down Art Asylum and it really did not disappoint.

Such an amazing location and studio full of character and charm!

I genuinely had a great time shooting at this studio and felt very comfortable and relaxed throughout... I look forward to my next visit!

I've shot here many times being the model but today was my first time shooting here properly as a photographer.

Apart from the studio being an absolute playground for creativity with it's many sets, the main studio with it's infinity wall is well equipped.

Steve is away on hand to offer as much or as little help if needed.

For a fairly new and inexperienced photographer such as myself, Steve is great at offering advice and assistance in a helpful manner, which in turn increases confidence.

I am already booked on a few more events here at the studio and cannot wait to return.

Art Asylum is a great space to shoot in providing many possibilities for backgrounds/backdrops from an Infinity Wall to more esoteric brick walls. wooden panelling, and much more. There is a multitude of lighting equipment - lights and soft boxes and a spacious natural light room currently as a bedroom and some sets. There is a private changing room for models and a huge collection of clothes and props. On the many occasions I've shot there I've found Steve to be a great host who works hard to get the set ups you need or, leaving you to get on with it whilst supplying teas and coffees and keeping the models warm. Well done Steve and thanks for yesterday.

I had my first trip over to Weymouth to shoot at Art Asylum and I am not surprised why it is so popular! Steve was a lovely host, providing many cups of tea throughout the day... though there was a mysterious lack of coasters. But I can highly recommend the place as one of new my favourite studios in the South.

With a versatile studio and boudoir space available plus a great dressing room with a bunch of outfits/shoes already there as an extra option. And it's right by the seafront which is a bonus to start and end the day walking along.

I had an absolutely fantastic studio day at Art Asylum Studio! The pre-communication was excellent; Steve kept me updated on all the bookings and helped me fill the slots! 🤩 On the day of the shoot, he met me near the studio and kindly helped with my heavy bag, showing consideration. Inside, he offered me some snacks and tea, showcasing remarkable kindness and friendliness. Steve gave me a tour of his spacious studio, featuring fabulous and diverse backgrounds, great props, fantastic lighting, and a gorgeous cyclorama. The studio is well-equipped and meticulously maintained. I also have to emphasize the incredible settings that Steve creates all the time—beautiful decorations with flowers, fabrics, and beautiful furniture! You will definitely find some perfect sets for you!

The changing room was cozy and very comfortable 🥰 equipped with many great mirrors and everything a model may need. There were also plenty of great outfits and props, very tidily organized in the boxes. We had such a great conversation, and Steve tried his best to make me feel comfortable and warm! All shoots were very easy and fun. Steve set the perfect lighting and helped the photographers throughout the shoots. I must say, I've worked with many absolutely fabulous photographers in this area, and the shots they made in the studio look stunning!

It was such a great experience, and we've already booked two more days in May! 🤩 I am very much looking forward to coming to this amazing creative space with such a warm and beautiful atmosphere! 🥰

Another great remote shoot event hosted at this wonderful studio, and yet more phenomenal images shot and a happy photographer too! Steve is honestly one of the very best studio owners I have had the pleasure to meet. He always goes above and beyond to help whenever possible, even accommodating a late night remote shoot booking in order for the model to have enough time to get to the studio as well.

Steve is a wonderful host - he's kind and easy to talk to. As a studio owner, he works well with the photographers and helps them in any way he can. For the remote shoot I hosted there, he had 6 hours of running around after the photographer, helping with lighting and camera settings throughout.

The studio itself, is as equipped as possible. It has the best lighting equipment, options for natural light as well as studio based shoots, and is such a versatile space.

Steve provides hot drinks throughout and little snacks as well, which are so, so appreciated! The model changing room is well equipped too and has all the necessities needed for refreshing between sets.

I will always recommend this fantastic studio and will return here time and time again.

I've lost count how many times if been in this studio now and every time I come away with different photos. Steve is an amazing guy and is always willing to help out with the lighting and has great knowledge of setting it all up and making sure you get the best photos from the best source of light possible .. will definitely be back again and would highly recommend the studio.

He tries his best to get the best lighting for the photographer to get the best possible shot. Happy to let the photographer do his own thing and also happy to help out with his knowledge of photography skills. Also makes a good coffee. Will definitely be back again. Ten out of ten.

What an amazing studio.. there's so much space and there's a lot of different places to shoot from.. my second shoot in the studio and Steve was there to help out with the lighting. Steve worked really hard to make sure I got all the best shots with the lightning available.

I shot at Art Asylum last week with a local photographer. The studio was lovely, a bit chilly with it snowing but Steve made sure to put all the heaters near me so I stayed warm! He was on hand to make drinks and help with lighting but also let us get on too! The studio has lots of great sets props and lighting. I really enjoyed my time working there and I'll definitely be back! Highly recommended!

Just had a great day to close out 2023 at Art Asylum Reloaded studio with Antonia Jay modelling.

This was my 2nd photo shoot at Art Asylum, well equipped, lots of options and easy for me to get to, so a perfect location.

With Steve, when required, providing much needed help, expertise and in sights. To make the photo session flow and to get through the moods boards I had....

After a while the studio looked like the Removers had been in, but not a problem. As Steve is always positive, supportive and helpful in working with you to achieve the images you want to capture.

Looking after the model at the same time. With plenty of warm drinks for all.

Art Asylum studio is that 'diamond' on the south coast for creatives a like to go to. As the many References below confirm.

So I will certainly be using Art Asylum again. In addition the beach is also just around the corner!

Had a fabulous shoot at the amazing art asylum yesterday. Was over the moon with the images I saw on the back of the camera. The sets in the studio were amazing and looked very eye catching for the images we were trying to create! The hospitality was amazing as always and Steve is always around helping you if you need it or anything for that matter. The studio was lovely and warm for me ready to shoot which was greatly appreciated with the cold weather. Steve couldn’t do enough! Thankyou for having my art asylum! Already got another booking! I had the pleasure of returning to Art Asylum recently for another Studio Day. Steve is so accommodating on all costs and I always look forward to working at the Studio. I always enjoy shooting at Art Asylum Reloaded Studio and Steve is a great host, helpful and fun. His facilities are great and there is always plenty of extra bits and bobs around that can be utilised if need be. Although I didn’t use the infinity wall on this occasion I was impressed with how it looked after a recent refurbishment. I can recommend this studio for its facilities and host.

My first shoot here finally! I was impressed with fabulous collection of shoes and corsets. Studio has also extensive selection of dresses, costumes, bras and props. I loved the Xmas set with beautifully decorated tree and nicely wrapped prop gifts ❤️

Steve arrived early to warm up studio for me and was offering brews through the event. Studio is very well equipped and tidy with separate changing room for models that contains big mirror perfect to do your makeup. There is also a lovely boudoir set with bed, wardrobe and some nice plants. And the most beautiful of all Victorian set that I feel like I didn’t shoot enough in! Would be perfect for nude but probably it’s gonna be gone by the time I’m back next year. Steve is doing a great job looking after models and photographers visiting his studio.

I can recommend Art Asylum to everyone! I would love to visit again at some point :)

First day remote shooting assisted by angel black with team black events and Steve on hand to help with lighting to setups, day 2 duo and 1-2-1 remote shooting with angel again , Steve is very hospitable and even held the camera to help get some great shots

Day 3 I had been booked by a photographer for a in person shoot and Steve again a star!

I love working at this studio and I keep coming back so that tells you something!

Steve and his wonderful studio are fast becoming my favorite studio in my local area to work at. I was recently contacted by several remote shooters who wanted to work with Antonia Jay and myself on a mixture of solo and duo shoots, specifically in a studio setting. I messaged Steve and he was only too happy to oblige! We ended up with so much interest that we successfully booked 2 full days out remotely.

Steve's pre shoot communications were excellent and very fast. He was also super accommodating of my late night messages because of the time difference with the American photographers! He answered all of my questions quickly and offered everything I could possibly need.

When we arrived at the studio, Steve was so accommodating throughout, having tea and biscuits on tap. He was even happy to pop to the shop for us (multiple times!), especially when we had a remote shooter wanting to use strawberries, which Steve happily sourced.

The studio is well equipped and has everything you could need. His lighting equipment is fantastic and the mini sets are equally as lovely. Despite being there for 2 days I feel like I barely scratched the surface on the shooting potential. We were shooting in the middle of the UK's winter, and Steve did a wonderful job of keeping us warm, even getting to the studio well ahead of time to get it heated.

Everything Steve did, and Steve's assistance itself, was invaluable. Steve was very happy to assist the photographers who used the studio lighting, moving things for them and offering setting suggestions as well. I'd highly recommend this studio and look forward to returning in January with another remote shooter!
