References for Art Asylum Reloaded Photo Studio

Another great shoot at Art Asylum Reloaded today, my first in just over a year.

Steve is an excellent host and nothing is too much trouble. He provides assistance when required but is also happy to sit back and let you take the lead.

The studio is large and has many different back drops, a large infinitely wall and a great natural light space. The lastest addition of a vintage bath provides another interesting prop.

A great little studio tucked away in the heart of a pretty Dorset town. Well equipped and warm it has a certain quirkiness about it which I loved.

Loved having my shoot here and will be back in the future.

An excellent and well run studio. We were made to feel at home, with assistance available when required. This studio has excellent lighting, a massive whitewall and also brick walls that can be used too.

I had a shoot here yesterday for the first time, it's a lovely studio space, has a massive white wall, some lovely brick walls that add to images, as well as a nice changing room with a mirror and seat for doing makeup. I would definitely use this studio again :)

My first shoot at AAR today and I found it a very pleasant experience. Steve is a great studio manager and allows you to use the space as your own, but is on hand, should you require assistance. The whitewall is MASSIVE and the rustic brickwork, beamed ceiling, natural light window, wooden floorboards add atmosphere to every angle you choose to shoot.

Tea/coffee was free flowing, smokers don't need to walk a mile for a quick puff and there were biscuits a plenty ;)

The equipment levels are very good, too, the 750w bownens heads are a joy to use. I also loved the wind machine; noted a ring light; huge woolen rug; 2 supporting stobe heads; several reflectors and lastolite backdrops; beauty dish; snoot; spill kills and props.

Looking forward to using the space again....very soon.

Steve was there to meet us, show us round and settle us in. Tea, coffee and biccies on tap!

Great space with plenty of prop and back drop options.

I shot here last week and I could not of been more happy with the location. It was warm with heaters, everyone was so friendly and there were chocolate biscuits and tea and coffee!! What more could you want? Highly recommended!

This was my second day at Art Asylum and it was GREAT!

How you could find a way to not shoot something incredible in this space is beyond me - even though it was a long day, the inspiration kept flowing and despite each photographers differing style and skill, every shoot was a winner thanks to Art Asylum.

Sean is an absolute star too - a genuine, really lovely person who made sure I was warm and comfortable throughout the day, was always on hand to help and chat to between shoots, and our own shoot we did blew me away!!! He is super talented and has a real passion which is very evident in his work.

Loved my day and will hopefully be squeezing more in before it sadly closes!

Yesterday I enjoyed a full day shoot with Gem at the awesome Art Asylum Studios.

I came with a plan and left with a plan to do more! :)

Had a brilliant day, creating lots of fine images, particularly in spaces I hadn't used before.

Sean was totally supportive as always and made sure everything worked smoothly. :) The regular cups of tea were both necessary and welcome.

Many thanks for a great day! I hope to be back again soon.

My first shoot at the this studio went very well, with the very helpful Sean, I have some very good images.

Will be looking forward to shooting there again.

Ghost Light Photography

Had a truly epic shoot with Tigerbelle at this tremendous facility. This was part of a studio day and Sean was on hand to give me the tour of the many different areas that can be used and the added attraction of several permanent sets plus a studio set up. Indeed there would be enough to keep me occupied for a day and more.

Much enjoyed my shoot here with Tigerbelle, it was my first shoot here and so glad I managed a shoot before it closes due to the sale of the building. Before the shoot Sean was brilliant to communicate with, supportive and easy to make arrangements.

When we arrived, Sean provided refreshments much appreciated after my journey there and a very useful tour. The place is so large and warren like that it would be difficult to find your way around without one.

Sean was available throughout the shoot in the event of any issues.

Thank you Sean for looking after us both so well and for providing convivial chat before and afterwards. Good luck with making the transition when you finally have to vacate.

Recommended, without hesitation. Surely the Art Asylum needs to be on everyone's place to shoot at list. Shoot there while you still can. You'll enjoy exploring the possibilities here.

This was my second visit to this amazing studio. What started out as a studio day ended up as an epic two and a half days!!! :D

Sean is just brilliant at making sure everyone is ok, looked after and given the tour of the building.

The Art Asylum just offers so much diversity for creativeness with its derelict areas, natural light and studio set up, endless possibilities!

Thank-you so much for looking after me Sean and putting up with me for such an extended time, hope the kettle recovers quickly!! :P

OMG! what a amazing place!

I was down in weymouth on holiday and decided to book 3 hours at art asylum - im so glad i did because the studio itself is totally awesome and without a doubt one of my favourites.

Sean was lovely and so friendly.

I would recommend this studio to all models and photographers.

So many rooms and styles of photography that can be exampled here

Such a creative space

caters for daylight and studio lighting

absolutely adored it and if it was nearer home we would be making the time to shoot there more regularly

Hopefully we wont leave it too long before going again

Its an absolute must and can accommodate easily 5 tog/5 models on a group shoot without you encroaching on anyone else

Incredible place, with so much variety and it's huge too. You could spend days shooting here and still not have enough time....

Sean is a top bloke, unobtrusive but on hand for any help or assistance that may be needed.

Most definitely will come back to shoot again and cannot fault the place in any way, shape or form....

I had the pleasure of another sold-out studio day at this amazing venue today. The Art Asylum is easily one of my favourite studios in the country; Sean is always there with a warm welcome, a cuppa and a helping hand, and the building itself is just phenomenal! Every time I go I discover a new room or corridor... Endless possibilities! I would encourage everyone to go as there really is something for all styles and tastes. Thoroughly recommended and I'm sure I'll be back soon.
