References for xxmrmthxx - Mel Tongue

I love shooting with Mel anyway - we have similar senses of humour so the chat just flows naturally - but I'd been looking for a specific reason to shoot with her again, so suggested a few weeks ago that we might catch another bluebell shoot (we did one together a couple of years ago). Mel said that she'd found a great bluebell wood near her and so, at about 24 hours notice (that's how it can be done when you want to!) we had it all arranged.

The woods didn't disappoint, and of course Mel was her usual amazing self. The rain interrupted play briefly (thank goodness for reflector-on-a-stand which doubles as a shelter!) but that didn't stop her from pulling off some awesome poses after we resumed.

This was shoot #10. We have plans in place for #11 and #12. 'Nuff said!

Had such a lovely shoot this evening, finishing the one of from Thursday evening, weather was lovely as such was the company, Melissa & her boyfriend are lovely people, got so many amazing images, I can't thank her enough, can't highly recommend her enough to any other photographer, so down to earth and easy to get on with, looking forward to working with her again in the future.

Had my first shoot with the lovely Melissa, what can I say, the communication was superb from start to finish, we went to some local Bluebell woods where we did art nude and she wore two lovely dresses that really worked well with the colours of the surrounding area.

I enjoyed every minute and we got lots of lovely images. I would very highly recommend Melissa, she is a very professional lady. We are going to finish the shoot on Saturday (due to the today's weather), I am really looking forward to it. I would 100% recommend her to any photographer, and would love to work with her again after Saturday.

Wow, had a fantastic shoot with Mel at Scarlet Door. Mel responded to my casting for a group shoot and from the offset comms were great, coming up with some great outfit suggestions and giving great feedback as we planned the shoot.

On the shoot Mel was fantastic, in front of a white background with a single can Mel was striking some awesome poses, dynamic and edgy, I could have stuck with that setup all day :-)

We covered a lot of sets in the 3 hours we had, mainly because Mel has the ability to change outfits in 30 seconds, well not quite but very close 😬

High key Low key, dynamic, atmospheric moody, portrait, Mel covered all the styles we wanted with ease always coming up with something original for each of us (3 togs on the shoot) to capture.

An absolute dream to work with, I have no hesitation in recommending Mel and can't wait to work with her again

Pre coms excellent we booked a date and when I arrived at the studio she was waiting and ready to go

It was a joy to meet and work with Melissa, she put in 110% is profesional also very down to earth and easy to get on with

Not at all scary.

I had been wanting to shoot with Mel since I joined PP, and when I recently found she she was retiring, I was gutted. I messaged Mel in hope she would do one more shoot, luckily she was able to book me in! I knew Mel would be amazing but I didn't know she would be this amazing. I had admired her portfolio for quite some time and was over the moon to get the chance to work with her, for some low key bodyscapes.

Her poise and is just perfect in every way. I managed to achieve so many great shoots, Melissa didn't need direction at all, I just had to explain the concept and she did the rest. If you've not worked with Melissa before, I suggest you book her. If you have worked with her before, I suggest you book her again :)

I'm really sad to see the retired notice and truly hope that her modelling continues. Would be such a loss for us photographers :)

I had the privilege of doing the final shoot with Melissa before retirement at Paul's Studio during this week. She is the art nude model par excellence! I had a really great time shooting with Melissa yesterday. The shoot went really smoothly and we got lots of great images shot be the end. Mel is one of my favourite models. I first stumbled across her work through a photographer friend and I was wow'd by her unique poses and commitment to the moment in each shot. She has the most enviable body and knows exactly how to show it off at its very best! With all talent aside, Mel is also one of the sweetest, most professional and easy to get along with models that I've ever worked with. When the opportunity arose to see her posing with my own eyes through Walter's Wardrobe, I couldn't wait to get her booked! A highly recommended model who is simply awesome at dynamic posing.

Arranged a last minute booking with Mel today after seeing her retirement casting call. Throughout the shoot she was cooperative and constructive. Despite the short notice the shoot flowed and we could probably have created shots all day.

OK I know that my references for shoots with Mel have been many and not so varied: that's because the shoots have all been b****y excellent. So here we go again, after nearly a year since we last shot, my 15th shoot with Mel was undertaken in the direst of summer conditions: wind, rain and 15C, definitely not summer as I know it. However Mel being the consummate professional model she is took it all in her stride. Art nude in a country park: certainly, fashion, fashion nude and art nude in a National Trust property: but of course, and a trek through a farmyard, muddy field and considerable nettle patches to get to a railway viaduct, why not, how else can one come up with stunning shots if one has not suffered for one's art?. I could go on about her posing ability, her superb physique with her long limbs and tiny waist which she uses to great advantage, but I've said it all before (and no doubt will continue to do so for as long as she continues modelling). Mel is very, very special and so easy to work with: an absolute gem.

Melissa is fantastic!! when booked for a group shoot I was so glad I managed to book her! The photographers booked on to the event where extremely happy with the images they produced, so much so we had to book Melissa in for a model day!!
