I have worked within the Construction Industry as boy and man and progressed into Project Tendering, Costing and Management on a variety of Projects, the recording of the work place and the work completed has been part of the job, as a photograph saves a 1000 word essay to describe the whole thing.

There is a demand in the commercial construction sector for progress records, especially for a suitably site qualified person who knows their way around the sites, this generates a reasonable hobby income to supplement costs, and equipment, the frustrating part of this genre is that 99% is specifically for each company and they retain all copy and usage rights in house.

However the ability to work with people and shrink into the background when necessary moved me onto my next passion which is street photography, recording life as it happens, in the various places that I visit in connection with my main work, the documentary style developed for the building work photographs lends itself well to this genre.

Always being an outside person the Landscape / Countryside / Outdoor activities attracted and I am active in this area in the Pennine Moors and the rugged landscape of the North West Lake District around Waste Water and Ravens brook area

Weather and circumstance means that you cannot be outside all the time, access to a very good studio, after various taster sessions, has generated a growing interest in Portrait, Beauty, Art Nude, which has over the last 2 years been my main interest

Goals are to continue to improve my Photography skills and take on as many Genres as possible to build as impressive a Portfolio as possible. If you want to join me in this journey drop me a message and lets see if we can create something special together
