References for Studio Luminescence

I joined a group shoot with model Georgia Brown organised and held at Studio Luminescence.

I've attended several excellent events here and this was at the usual very high standard. Excellent organisation and my booking was very straightforward.

Lauren created a series of different lighting set ups and very helpfully explained the the sort of images they could produce.

Georgia was an excellent creative model and I came home with many beautiful images.

Lauren and Gary are always very friendly and helpful and I've already booked my next two events with them

I attend Luminescence for the 1st time to a group workshop with Georgia Brown.

The event was run to perfection by Lauren and Gary. The backdrops, scenery, lighting (and choice of model) were spot on.

They both came across as very organised and proffessional, they clearly know what they are doing, but they are also very friendly and approachable which made for a really nice day.

The studio itself is quite compact, but has everything you need for some really stunning studio photography.

I am hoping to attend future events they organise whenever I can.

100% recommend.

Made another trip to Studio Luminescence for one of their themed events. It's not exactly local but it's certainly worth the travel. Lauren & Gary operate well run events with planned styling, themes and great models. Everyone I've come across on the events has been friendly and its been a good environment to pick up some tips, work on styles and try to add my own touch to images.

I'm already booked in for 2 more events at the moment and that may well expand with the variety of theme & models on the coming soon list.

Yesterday I attended the Studio Luminescence 'The Warrioress' shoot. Thanks to the excellent organisation of Lauren and Gary the shoot ran perfectly the location was ideal, the medel Christine was more than capable posing with ease and very skilled with the weapons creating very convincing images. Lauren and Gary are always welcoming and helpful. I look forward to the two further shoots I have booked at Studio Luminescence. Thank you Lauren and Gary for a first rate shoot.

The Warrioress shoot was wonderful, thanks for organising the shoot, Lauren, and Gary were so helpful, and sourcing the hardworking model Christine as the warrioress completed a very special shoot. Very much recommended.

I modelled for a styled workshop hosted by Lauren and Gary at the studio. From the very beginning, they were welcoming and friendly, and ensured that I was keeping myself hydrated throughout the 4-hour shoot!

Pre-shoot comms were brilliant and they made the event a success with their marketing. They have an amazing selection of backdrops and fabrics which they specifically set up and styled for each outfit.

Lauren and Gary prepared one of the two looks we did, including an amazingly intricate headdress which Lauren tested on herself to make sure it was comfortable to wear. I was blown away by their attention to detail and level of care. One of the looks was a kimono and Lauren took the time to research the finnicky process of putting one on; I was very excited to be able to gush to someone about how hard I tried to get the obi right. 😂

From watching the way Lauren and Gary tutored the attending photographers looking to hone their craft, they were always eager to help with technical questions and encourage experimenting to develop one's own style, which I think is so important to nurture in an artistic field.

All in all, I highly recommend Studio Luminescence whether it's for a shoot as a model or photographer, or to attend one of their incredible workshops. I'd gladly come back anytime! :)

Lauren and Gary were absolutely fantastic to work with. I've had my eye on taking a trip to Studio Luminescence for a while, but when the notification came through for their Red Riding Hood inspired event, I knew I had to attend!

They'd located and specified a stunning location in Derbyshire for us to shoot at.. as is always the case with British weather, we were blessed with every weather type under the sun including Rain, Snow, Hail and Sun. Also leading to many a muddy boot!

While we did have a few delays in starting, as well as a short stop start in the middle of the day, Lauren and Gary both made sure all 3 attending photographers got the most of out of the event, ensuring we had equal shooting opportunity and made full use of the smoke grenades they'd included as part of the shoot.

Lauren doubling as the model, was an absolute delight in front of the camera, easily executing poses to suit the mood, adding her own twist when required and also effortlessly incorporating direction to produce some stunning images.

Gary was fantastic in assisting the shoot and a total dab-hand with the smoke grenades.

Highly recommend working with Studio Luminescence and I look forward to shooting with them again myself!

I joined Lauren and Gary for their Red Riding Hood location shoot.

It was clear from the very full communication leading up to the shoot that they go the extra mile to ensure a smooth experience for photographers. Despite rain, snow and hail, this continued throughout the shoot itself. They were generous with their time, waiting for conditions to improve to ensure the group got the shots we wanted. They created a relaxed atmosphere and took a collaborative approach.

I'm currently working through editing a large selection of images that I'm very happy with and would be pleased to work with them again.

I attended a Helmut Newton inspired shoot around the streets of Belper with Gary and Lauren. It was a windy and wet evening so full credit to both for continuing to agree to do the shoot, especially as the rain added to the atmosphere of the photos. It was an incredibly inspirational shoot with an incredible model and assistance from Gary. Can't wait to attend more of their events calendar permitting.

Had a wonderful monochrome themed shoot at Studio Luminescence with Simone Stocks. Wonderful lighting set-up with an amazing model. Always a friendly welcome at this studio, and as a novice I always learn so much. I will definitely be booking for more shoots in the future

Just had my debut photo session today at this awesome event with Simone Stocks striking some poses. The set up was organised to be a black and white theme, following inspiration from the styles of Peter Coulson.

Big shout to Lauren and Gary for hosting such friendly event. especially as it was a bit windy outside.

Had my first shoot here today at an event with Simone Stocks modelling. It was a black and white based shoot inspired by Peter Coulson and Peter Lindberg style. Lauren and Gary ran a friendly and relaxed event, happy to change settings on lighting power etc. Been to other events where you are given settings and everyone sticks to it. Was the first time I had shot with Simone and what a delight. Was lovely meeting other photographers from the surrounding area as I've only been up here for a couple of years. Looking forward to other events and spending time with Gary and Lauren

As always Lauren and Gary made this photoshoot a very enjoyable and creative experience. They are very welcoming and supportive and had planned a great afternoon with three distinct looks, with suitable lighting and backdrops for this mono themed workshop. The model, Simone Stocks , was an absolute delight being clearly experienced and helpful she was someone I'd love to work with again. I have been to a number of events at this studio and would thoroughly recommend it.

I have had the pleasure of shooting at this lovely studio with Lauren and Gary on several occasions now. As a result of the patient tuition I have been given by Lauren and Gary I have noticed great improvements in my photography and editing skills.

My third time at Studio Luminescence for another beautifully styled event by Lauren & Gary.

Lauren always goes above and beyond to put together the most beautiful styling, and Gary is always very helpful making sure myself and the photographers have everything we need whilst at the studio!

As always an absolute pleasure working with you both; Lauren is also such a talented photographer and so full of knowledge about lighting / cameras! Not only did we have a really fun time with lot's of laughter - but I also absolutely adore the images we created together!

This was my second time at the Studio and as always it was a hugely positive experience. Lauren and Gary give clear, pragmatic tuition and technical advice and also create beautiful sets. It's impossible to create bad images on a shoot there.

Group sessions are well organised and the relaxed, friendly atmosphere make for a fun and productive day. Highly recommended, even for beginners.

I attended the Iridescence Adorned event, with the fabulous Katey as the model for the afternoon. Pre-comms were excellent, and the studio was easy to find. Lauren, and Gary make a great team, working hard to make the event a success. The studio space is compact, however the set dressing, and lighting made the photography so easy to obtain some great images. Lauren was on hand to give useful advice, with lighting, and camera techniques. I've come away with some great images, thank you Lauren, and Gary for a productive, pleasurable afternoon.
