I attended Studio Luminescence on a beginning lighting workshop.

From the get go, myself and the other fellow attendee were greeted well and offered drinks and biscuits. Both Lauren and Gary were very relaxed and answered many of our questions and took the time to explain things well.

We both came away feeling we had learnt a lot and felt much more confident in being able to use lights going forward.

Lauren was a pleasure to shoot and having the combined knowledge of modelling and photographer was an asset not to be sniffed at.

pre-shoot comms were clear and concise and a full break down of the day and arrangements were known beforehand with good instructions on how to find the studio.

I would happily recommend visiting here wither for a workshop, event or hiring out, the space is ideal for most assignments with necessary equipment.

I have visited Studio Luminescence twice The first time I booked a one to one with Arabella for an introduction to studio photography. From my first request to the day itself Arabella and Gary were welcoming, friendly and helpful. In the Studio Arabella was an absolute delight explaining and demonstrating the various lighting setups and the effects they have making understanding how to get the desired effect a breeze. The whole day was very pleasant. If you are new to Studio work I would recommend Arabella and Studio Luminescence without hesitation.

The second visit was “The Bird” workshop Once again both Lauren and Gary were first rate from booking to to the event. The shoot was very well organised with Every effort taken so that all attendees got the images they wanted. Lauren and Gary made every effort possible to make the best experience for all attending . I look forward to returning in the near future.

Could not wait to return to Studio Luminesce for a shoot with El Baldwinson and explore Lauren's Tulle theme. It is amazing what can be set up and created in a relatively small space to huge effect and always with beautiful results. Gary works wonders supplying the troops with coffee and biscuits and Lauren sorts the parade ground with friendly efficiency and welcome advice. The bar has been set high and I am looking forward to more visits to their creative 'tardis' where size doesn't matter. Thank you guys for a memorable experience.

I had my second shoot at Studio Luminescence today with the beautiful Elle Baldwinson.

As before Arabella and Gary could not have been more helpful and had worked hard on the backdrops and planning for the 'Daydreaming in Tulle' event.

Refreshments were available as and when required and an extremely friendly atmosphere was maintained throughout. As this was a small group shoot everything was done to ensure that all those attending had ample opportunity to create some great images.

Thanks to Gary and Arabella for running the event so professionally and to Elle for being as always an outstanding expressive model. look forward to visiting again soon, Graham.

My third shoot at Studio Luminescence was as enjoyable and productive as I'd anticipated. Arabella and Gary made everyone feel welcome and involved. They had clearly invested time and thought into each of the three sets for this 'Daydreaming in Tulle' event. They made sure that we each had time to get the images we wanted in a relaxed and supportive setting. I had the pleasure of shooting Elle at this studio a little while ago and knew that she is a very talented, beautiful and elegant model. She was again a pleasure to work with.

A second visit to Studio Luminescence, this time for a Tulle themed event with Elle Baldwinson modelling :)

A lovely event with good comms ahead of time with details of the event and arrangements. It's amazing to see what you can achieve in a space with thought and a good eye. There was a lovely backdrop setup mixing a palette of colours and some lovely outfits complementing both the model and the background.

The light was lovely so there was no need to use studio lights and we shot 3 different sets to get some diversity and Lauren was great in inputting ideas, working with mine and wafting fabric for different looks.

Plenty of refreshments which were much appreciated after my long trip to get there. Another great and worthwhile trip, I have my eye on some other events they have planned, its a bit of a trek for me but well worth the effort :)

I attended a`Tulle' shoot today expertly organised by Lauren and Gary the owners of Studio Luminescence at their Nottingham Studio. The shoot was with model Elle Baldwinson who was brilliant.

Lauren and Gary always make you feel extremely welcome and are great hosts. Refreshments are always available and offered.

Lauren is very patient and has improved my photography skills massively, for which I am extremely grateful.

Very highly recommended and thank you again Lauren and Gary.

Where to start!

Thank you so much to Lauren and Gary - I truly enjoyed the recent Tulle Daydream Workshop hosted at Studio Luminescence. The event was excellently put together, relaxed and very welcoming.

I felt the atmosphere created was very positive and creative across all the photographers taking part, Lauren and Gary overseeing the day and the wonderful Elle Baldwinson modelling.

From those just starting to build a portraiture portfolio to seasoned shooters, I would highly recommend joining a workshop hosted by Studio Luminescence.

I had a 1 to 1 Photoshop session with Arabella from Studio Luminescence.

I had been struggling with my editing and wanted to learn how to do it properly. I have tried books and online etc but to no real avail.

My time spent with Arabella was so worthwhile, I learnt more in a 2 hour session than I have in the last 2 years and I came away asking myself why I hadn't done this sooner!

Great teacher, very patient and really good teaching style.

I will be having further sessions with Studio Luminescence and Arabella in the near future to maintain and enhance my skills.

Great experience and highly recommended.

The Golden hour workshop was so much fun.

Leading up to the day all questions and concerns were answered quickly and even with concerns about the weather they were happy for me to re-schedule for a better time :)

On the day it was great to see Arabella again after so long and as with last time they came with outfit choices, friendly fun attitude and lots of absolutely gorgeous poses!

I had an amazing time shooting outside on the workshop and will definitely be returning to work with them again :)

I spent a very enjoyable time organised by Studio Luminescence in a natural outdoors Derbyshire location. Arabella has an intimate knowledge of the area and we were able to take make beautiful images amongst the wild flowers and golden grasses.

She is a superb model flowing through a series of lovely expressive images that complemented the surroundings.

Arabella brought a series of beautiful outfits that worked well with this lovely countryside

She is very knowledgeable, friendly and interesting and we chatted throughout the shoot and the time flew past.

Having followed the studio on IG for a short while, I just had to apply for their casting in search for a model for their upcoming sculptural art nude lighting workshop! It was so lovely to not only finally get in the studio but also meet both Lauren & Gary :) It was a pleasure to work alongside them both and I can’t fault the structure of the workshop at all! It was such an enjoyable day and the images the participating togs made were ace! It would be an honour to work at the studio again and I hope to arrange something one day soon there again. Thank you both for such an enjoyable AND successful day - I will see you again for sure!! ✨

I spent a wonderful afternoon photographing Beth Kate in Studio Luminescence

Lauren gave excellent tuition how to create a series of dramatic lighting configurations to produce a whole series of beautiful sculptural artistic nude images of Beth. Lauren has expert knowledge as both a photographer and a beautiful model and has a very friendly and professional teaching approach.

Gary, as always, was a very friendly and helpful host.

The studio is well equipped, conveniently located near the centre of Nottingham with free street parking outside

I came away with many beautiful images and cannot recommend Lauren, Gary and Studio Luminescence more highly

Attended a great workshop here on light sculpting. Lauren and Gary were not just knowledgeable but great hosts. It was a fun, social, workshop where you learn a lot from the masters and also from other photographers. Will return if I'm in town.

Attended my first event at Studio Luminescence for a sculptural art nude workshop with Beth Katee modeling. Lauren & Gary were great hosts with Gary looking after the refreshments and Lauren looking after the lighting and tuition.

Firstly, each light setup was clearly explained and the event was well run. The main studio space is compact but its also a referesher on what can be achieved plus on controlling lights.

Gary took us on a little tour of the some of the other spaces that could be shot which was really insightful and gave me some ideas.

Both Lauren and Gary are very knowledgeable and delivered a good event with a great model choice, I'm already booked to return for another event in September.

I attended a super, well organised and executed group shoot organised by Lauren and Gary at their studio in Nottingham. I was impressed with the way in which a relatively small space could be made use of and able to appreciate how the adjoining outside area could be utilised effectively for some more niche shooting. Lauren and Gary were great hosts, very friendly and their hospitality was first class accompanied with an endless supply of biscuits! I can thoroughly recommend the studio and look forward to making a return visit.
