I'm Derek, I've been taking photos most of my adult life. Over the last few years my photography has really improved, and I enter photo competitions most months of the year. I am the secretary of the Louth Photographic Society, and am developing my skills into portraiture, fashion, boudoir, and nudes. I enjoy working with models, and love to bring some of their character out into the images we create together.

My aim is always to make the model as comfortable as possible, working to within the stated levels, and achieving the highest quality of images to improve both our portfolios. I like to have good pre-comms before the shoot, and good communication on the shoot, working closely together as a team.

Safety of models is of great importance to me, levels of the shoot will be agreed before the shoot, and I do not "push" levels. I want the model to be relaxed, and comfortable, only then can the best images be created. For a location shoot, it is often best to meet up in a public place before the shoot, especially if it's the first time working with a model. My policy is not to touch models unless it has been expressly agreed when booking the shoot, I am happy for a chaperone to be present during shoots, working with a model is a paid transaction, I will not enquire about your personal life, I will respect you as an individual and model. I am happy to exchange a phone number 24 hours before the shoot purely to be used for emergencies, and not to take the conversation off the site.

Above all I'm a photographer, who loves creating great images, enjoys working with models while having a great chat, with some fun and laughter on the shoot!!
