References for Studio Luminescence

Studio owners Gary & Lauren are an absolute pleasure to work with.

Their studio setup is large spacious and above all accessible to all.

Split over two rooms they have ample space for dressing, makeup and provide dressing gowns and slippers.

They have an array of backdrops, lighting, props and the studio has fantastic natural light.

They are a fantastic team that have true empathy for disabilities and Neurodiveversity needs. They made me feel welcome and able to ask for any help I may need to aid my disabilities.

I would highly recommend the studio to models and photographers looking for a professional, safe and accessible place to shoot.

I look forward to working with them again soon :)

This was my first visit to Studio luminescence, it is within easing walking distance of Nottingham city centre car parks, where it was suggested, I should park as on-street parking can be problematic.

the studio has great natural light available, although for this shoot, we were shooting with flash.

My shoot was a time slot in a themed day with Arabella, art nude with a posing box, both on it and inside it !

Arabella, good conversation and tea made for a great shoot and the photos are excellent

I am sure that I shall return to shoot using the studios natural light and I would recommend this

I had a great shoot at studio luminescence. Their set decoration is always spot on and set up ready to jump straight into shooting.

I've done a vampire themed shoot, a bright colour Clash Shoot and a romantic soft ambient light shoot with Arabella at the studio and each one has resulted in some amazing images.

Another great thing about this studio is they do offer 1 hour slots on their themed day which is good for my budget but also means I can shoot more often with them!

Would definitely recommend!!

I attended the Film Noir Night Shoot in Belper and came away with many excellent images of Arabella.

Communications before the event were comprehensive providing detailed joining instructions, the equipment and clothing to bring and an overview of what to expect.

Arabella and Gary have a detailed knowledge of Belper and took us to a series of very different locations with very interesting lighting. They are both very friendly, approachable and have a deep understanding of photography that they are very happy to share

Arabella, as always, was a superb model effortlessly moving between beautiful expressive poses that exploited the lighting conditions

Gary was also very helpful providing helpful advice on camera settings, compositions etc

I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and highly recommend this event

I attended the Newton Inspired Night Shoot in Belper with Studio Luminescence on 22 Dec 2022 a most enjoyable experience. Gary and Arabella were very welcoming and had scouted the locations very well. Arabella was a wonderful model providing pose after pose using the available light to excellent advantage. With Gary on hand to give advice and assistance has needed. I went home with a buzz and lots of images. Highly recommended.

I attended the "Newton Inspired Night Shoot" organised by Studio Luminescence with Arabella. Both Arabella and Gary from the studio were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I've not really experimented with night photography before this event but I came away feeling confident that I could tackle it successfully in future.

I joined Arabella for two excellent sessions in her Nottingham studio.

She led a Hollywood lighting workshop demonstrating the use of studio lighting and how small changes to the lights and models position can have a big impact on the style of image. Arabella is an excellent teacher and model with a detailed understanding of studio lighting.

I have lots of excellent images from both the workshop and 1-2-1 time with Arabella posing inside and out of the cube

She is very friendly, helpful and knows how to pose both with and without direction to produce superb images

I was lucky enough to be contacted by Lauren & Gary to host a styled "Ice Queen" event at their gorgeous space in Nottingham!

Pre communications were fantastic, they ensured I had all the information to put together a seamless event. They were very accommodating for photographers offering group, 1-2-1 & remote sessions ensuring there were options suitable for every photographer to join the event :-)

Lauren & Gary were the perfect hosts ensuring I was comfortable, warm and happy throughout the entire day of shooting. I absolutely loved my time at their studio and would recommend them to all models / photographers :-)

It was great to do my second photoshoot at Studio Luminescence, this time as part of a 'Snow Queen' themed group shoot.

Comms prior to the event were excellent as always. Lauren and Gary were welcoming and well-organised, and provided a series of creative and well-styled set-ups. They were supportive and attentive throughout, sharing ideas about lighting, and were keen to ensure that everyone got the shots they wanted. They made good use of the time available and the whole session ran smoothly.

It was a hugely enjoyable event, and I'm delighted with the resulting photos. I'm very happy to recommend Studio Luminescence, and look forward to shooting there again in 2023.

I booked on to a group shoot at Luminesence. The coms with Lauren & Gary were first class, with clear instructions about the day sent through. It was a great day with lots of support and encouragement. We discussed the shoot ideas and the lighting, with Lauren giving great input.

Lots of coffee and biscuits were on offer, with the hob nobs going doing particularly well.

I would recommend giving Luminesence a try, you will get a warm welcome and all the help and support you may need.

Another remote shoot at the studio, this time with Katey and their Snow Queen themed event. Arabella sent over the remote link at the specified time of the remote shoot slot and was on had to move lights, add in backdrops and even throw confetti at Katey to give the impression of snow. Even though it was just an hour remote, Arabella helped make sure things ran smoothly throughout the time to help us get the best results we could in the available time.

I had a great shoot at the studio. It's a good space with various light options and a fantastic Halloween set. I also spotted lots of other props for other types of shoots. I will be back!

Had a great first shoot with Arabella and Gary, Really friendly group with good advice from Arabella.

Studio set up was for flash but I'm sure the natural light will give a whole other angle to the studio

Working with Bella Noir and Arabella was good fun

Being a beginner in this line of photography, this was my first visit to a studio for a photoshoot. I was very impressed.

The studio was easier to find and was just as listed.

The reception and support from Lauren and Gary were great, making working with Illy a wonderful experience.

Studio Luminescence comes well recommended by me; I look forward to when I can return for another shoot.

This was my first visit to the luminescence studio, Arabell and Garry were very welcoming chatty, and helpful the studio has great nature light although we were shooting with flash, it's within easing walking distance of Nottingham city centre, I would like to return to shoot using the studios nature light I would recommend this studio.

Lauren and Gary were very friendly, helpful and supportive during my shoot at this beautiful studio. They had arranged the model, Belle Noir, who was superb, friendly and very constructive in her posing.

Lauren provide the flash lighting and described how to obtain a variety of different effects. The studio is also well situated for beautiful natural lighting. It's located within easy walking distance of Nottingham city center with on street parking outside

I came away with superb shots and look forward to visiting again

WHAT AN AMAZING DAY!!!!! Thank you so much for inviting me to host an Art Nude Workshop alongside you guys.

The studio is beautiful!!! Clean in the studio AND the toilets, warm, drink facilities, an area for the model to change, endless fabrics and props, fabulous natural light, black out blinds for lighting, the list goes on!

Gary and Arabella were so kind and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Their communication was spot on which is just what you need when arranging a day such as this. It worked so well the day studio day is already in the making.

Not a negative thing to say and I would work with you without hesitation whenever I was needed.

Another visit to this lovely studio. Arabella and Gary are great owners, very friendly, which is one good reason to return. It is an old lace mill, and I was also shooting out in the internal courtyard, with all the red Victorian brickwork and large windows. I shall be back.

Recently i had 3 times the opportunity to be (virtually) in Luminescence studio doing remote shoots. Two of them with the awesome, friendly and super helpful Arabella who owns this delight of a studio. What a nice place, daylight written in capitals! Gorgeous light flooding the all-white room thru the big windows. Fabulous how with lot of creativity and love for detail different sets and backgrounds are prepared before start. The offered gear for remote shooting makes working a breeze, good camera, good network without lagging and great assistance of Arabella. I will for sure continue to visit virtual this marvelous studio in the near future, and hope one day to visit this place in person too!

My 1st visit to this lovely’s Notts studio and Arabella is a very nice owner, which always helps. Bags of natural light. Very near to the city centre and my model loved it there. I shall return.
