Had a lovely first shoot with Alan, after we had been sporadically in communication for years discussing the possibility of working together. We did a home shoot, although we were mostly in my garden, as it was a sultry day, we made use of the warm weather and diffused lighting conditions. I am usually hired for my ballet training, so working with "seetheeyes" was a challenge for me, especially as I'm autistic, so doing portraiture and headshots where I'm looking into the camera is working a bit outside my comfort zone, which was probably good for me artistically- it was challenging in a different way to ballet.

I agree with the other references below, Alan is a lovely guy, and has quite beautiful eyes himself, and many stories to tell- we did a sixties shoot with my houndstooth check coat and baker boy hat and boots- again, it's somewhat unusual for me to do fashion- instead of tutus- while Alan regaled me with stories of David Bailey and Biba.

Highly Recommended, and I hope we will together again soon. Thank You. :) x

Loved my first shoot with Alan in London at the Factory studio during the hottest day of the story in UK!

Alan pre communication was excellent.

I enjoyed so much shooting with him, very professional and I felt comfortable all the way through.

We shoot different style, using natural light. Love the final results!!

Absolute recommended working with him, not only you’ll produce stunning images but also meet a lovely, kind, friendly, fun and respectful person.

Thank you Alan for being amazing! Hopefully we’ll work together again sometime soon :)

Absolutely lovely first-ever shoot with Alan.

He is very friendly, respectful and kind. We spent two hours shooting fashion and portraiture in the London Bridge area on a busy Sunday and nothing was too much trouble for Alan. Absolute gent.

Thank you for working with me (and for your lovely reference on my page!)

Can’t believe myself and Alan had waited 5 whole years for our second ever shoot, but my gosh what a shoot we had! We shot from a beautiful bnb near to Huntingdon, the day was so fun and time went soooo quickly. Alan is great to talk to and I felt at ease throughout the shoot. It was as though I was simply having a fun day with a friend creating stunning images!

He is a gentleman & so polite!

We short a range of outfits and lingerie & he even bought me a print from our first shoot.

Which is breathtaking.

Having travelled miles he was on top form & with such high enthusiasm for our shoot.

I can’t recommend him enough.

Truly memorable day & I can’t wait for our next shoots that we are planning

Highly recommended

Thanks so much

Ahhhh had such an awesome shoot with Alan!!

what a lovely creature to work with!!!

We got off the same train together and with the masks it was so hard to see if someone is smiling at you to be like 'is this you??' Had no idea so I kept smiling - well with my eyes and a mask haha - then and Alan turned around and said 'the main ingredient' (a reference from our messages prior) and it proper tickled me and I knew from there it was going to be a great shoot!!

We had all the natural light and shootie goodness! With my version of Rock music (sorry Alan I know it wasn't as cool as your playlists but its the best I gots im so sorry haha!) but we just bounced off each other and it was such a lovely shoot! We shot a range of dance poses and floaty dresses, to some fashion'y thins and Art Noot.

Just felt like I'd known A for ages y'know? Super chilled and productive and a mix of all the good!

Definitely recommended & would absolutely love to work with A again!!!

Thank you ever so moooch!!

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Alan for the first time on a recent tour to London and I'm very glad we got to. His pre shoot communications were excellent and very well thought out, which helped massively during the planning stage! He comes across very polite which carries over into his physical form as well! He was very polite and respectful throughout our shoot, telling me a bit about him and his family and we exchanged some good stories whilst creating some gorgeous images.

Alan's ability to talk and then snap is extraordinary, often making me wonder how he'd had the time to compose the shot but his use of angles are absolutely amazing, flipping his camera every which way to create really gorgeous shots - every single one was a winner.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alan and look forward to future shoots.

We went for a while not having had a shoot - then the bloomin' pandemic happened didn't it... But I tell you what: every time we do then fix something up after not having caught up for a while; WE TAKE THE HOUSE OUT! :P

Thank you ever so much fella!

So what on earth did we do this time? Well - a little old meet up was planned at the sublime space that is Natural Light Spaces... I just knew that we'd have a total field day the moment Alan confirmed he was available because, well... IT'S ALAN! :D AND THERE'S NATURAL LIGHT! What more is there to say? It's certainly a place we hadn't worked together at yet - but given our rapport that already exists from countless phenomenal shoots, in my head the scope was already bouncing around the place before we were both there on the day ready to rock. :P And then it happened: we had the good fortune of being able to sneak into the White Room first - AND behold: the angelic lifestyle shots, the dreamy shapes on the floor, the window gazer, the piano princess and morrreeee... We were really on it during that first hour or so as we became inspired from one thing to the next before we moved next door. Alan was like a child in a sweet shop haha - for every shape I made, he was reacting with epic enthusiasm and throwing himself in all manner of angles: one moment flat on the floor/then against the wall/or birdseye-viewing it from above. This chap doesn't go at it half-full. Oh no! :D AND THAT'S WHY I JUST BLOODY LOVE WORKING WITH HIM! Thereafter we scooted on through to the Natural Light Studio as planned initially - the softness edged up a notch with the more raw and gritty environment. The terrible twosome had yet more tricks under their sleeve - not least when a huge ladder appeared for us to cause mayhem with! Hellooooo! :D And believe me when I say that not just the model went up this thing - admit it Alan! You've been taking a leaf out of my book with the urge to climb everything. :') T'was a grand idea mind you - totally different perspective... Dang he's good at seizing opportunities!!!! Same thing happened as we passed a mirror - just the normal studio mirror for seeing your poses or checking out outfits. The photographic eye of Seetheyes is constantly live with an imaginative radar - that's what it is - but because he is routinely welcoming of the models suggestions and input too (brave ain't he ;) ) a single idea like the mirror develops and we wind up attacking it with giant voiles. Pretty standard then! We also (for old times sake) reverted back to some sassy glam looks which totally remind me of the first time we shot! :D This series was spectacular - no, supremely stunning! I don't know what it is, but something just clicks on and we really do slay it. Maybe because Alan is positively encouraging with expressions and catching that moment of magic, instead of thinking I'm just being weird/have an itch on my nose or something. :') He gets me!

Wonderful photographer - in creativity (he plans well too and always approaches with an abundance of ideas!) and also in technicalities. The sun can chuck whatever challenges or stubbornness it wants at Alan - he calmly shows it whose running the show and turns it into a memory card full of priddy pictures! :D

Also as standard: funny, upbeat, well-mannered, sweet... (Good fun to enjoy a shoot with then!) Also approaches every shoot with utmost professionalism and respect for the model with whom he teams up with on the day of a shoot. You'll be in good hand - trust me. I have lost count of our shoots, but I get the same lovely character turn up every single time without fail. :)

Have another "virtual" high-five fella! It's well deserved! Thank you sooooo much - until I come after you to shoot next time! ;)

I had the pleasure to work with Alan for the first time at the Natural Light Spaces and I really enjoyed my day! Alan is such a nice guy to work with, keen to listen to my suggestions. We created some lovely images together from portrait to dance. Alan was showing me the pictures from the camera regularly which allow us to improve what needed to be improved and create epic images. I am more than happy to recommend him and I am really looking forward to working with him again soon.

What a pleasure it was to shoot with Alan for the first time at Pozers studio! I approached Alan a couple of months ago when I was touring Kent, sadly he could not make the date so we shot at Pozers instead! Our conversation flowed naturally as did the ideas he had. Alan regularly showed me the BOC (which looked great!) And gave clear direction when needed too. Lovely, friendly and I hope to work with him again! It's a recommendation from me!

Thanks for coming all that way, Alan!

OMG!!!!! SHOOTING WITH ALAN IS SUCH AN EXCITING AND FUN THING TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN ONE’S DIARY!!!!

Y’all going to think that I’m some strange over-hysterical person that Alan’s paying to flood hos references when you scroll back and read all the ones I’ve left him! X-D Well the first But is kinda true, but every bit of rambling thereafter comes straight from the heart (okay, the poetry-triggered lunatic is definitely on the loose!) Because Alan is truly just a superbly-megatastic-picturebossing phenomenon! I’m not even going to attempt to guesstimate how many times we have worked together now up to the present. But it’s a LOT! :P One of us clearly has just the right level of insanity to keep allowing the mayhem to unfold - and it doesn’t matter if there’s a significant time-gap between our shoots either. They’re still suitably bonkers in the most genius way when we do catch up! :D

So in normal human terms: Alan is an extraordinary gentleman to work with. I not only recommend him for his routine professional conduct and impeccable respect towards those that he works with (guaranteeing that any model will feel comfortable working with him at any venue), but I also cannot scream loud enough about how much creative passion and drive this guy has. Throughout his port, you see an endless array of beautiful portraits and elegance which he effortlessly captures as the models do their thing... But Alan is versatile in the sense that he can warp into a totally different mode and nail emotion/atmosphere and edge within his pictures too! Goodness in all our shoots we’ve discussed ideas from the weird to the wonderful, to the simple to the “whaa?” And it really doesn’t matter what scenario of expression is placed before his camera, he gets totally into a photographic zone, the same way that a model gets into their posing zone. If he’s not laying on the floor to get the angle looking sensationally cool then he’s fighting with the blooming available sunlight which doesn’t know if it’s coming, going or having tea and cakes! (Alan shoots a lot of natural light images which routinely require a crazy level of patience, especially on days where the sun levels are changeable!)

Did we ever seize from our chinwagging marathon as we worked? Probably not! As well as being the star photographer in etiquette and so forth; Alan is quite simply a really sweet person. We always have a ball playing catch-up with what either one has been up to creativity-wise and so-forth, laugh about anything and everything, include plenty of coffee and green tea top-ups in-between sets. Don’t even get me started on when we’re reviewing the back of the camera! We must make some really strange sounds as the camera flicks onto that lush corker of a picture. And given that there’s always quite a few of them - I’m surprised Tim at the cottage where we worked in Kent this time didn’t issue a silence order! :P Naa, we’re not that bad really! It’s a certainty that you’ll get a great atmosphere and largely team-orientated flow working with Alan. He values the input of the models from initiation to completion. And I ALWAYS look forward to working with him again at some occasion in the not-too-distant future. :)

A highly recommended photographer by yours truly!!! Bags of lovely pictures expected, perfect communications every time!

ALAN IS AWESOME!

I had the pleasure of working with Alan last year at the Autumn Studland Weekender, so was delighted when he agreed to work with me at the same brilliant venue last weekend. We worked through a range of styles and made the most of the beautiful weather. As always, Alan was professional, relaxed and happy to collaborate on ideas. I'd readily recommend him to others and hope we can shoot together again in the future.
