Take in the Alps

I hadn’t taken a photograph of a model for a very long time - several years in fact. Just no longer motivated to do so. But when I discover that my favourite model, and one with such an extraordinary skill set as she has, is going to be within an hour’s drive of me, I’m suddenly clear of the doldrums - my imagination is firing again. I can’t wait to shoot.

I first worked with Rebecca Tun in Berlin five years ago. It was a life changing shoot. More that any other event I had experienced it helped me to find out what I really wanted from model photography and so evolve as an artist.

Roll on the years and here we are in present times, and here I am in a studio with this wonderful human being. Rebecca is so much more than a model, though in that capacity she is extraordinarily gifted and at the same time, humble. She is wonderful company: intelligent, articulate, funny, a keen listener, communicative, fascinated by life and art - delightful, engaging and inspiring.

For this shoot, I had a few cobbled together ideas but she made me feel that together we could turn them into exciting, ingenious and spellbinding images. I like to riff off cinematic themes that require aspects of role play and the dramatisation of an imagined scene, an approach that might demand much from many a model. Rebecca, as she had done before in Berlin, took all this in her stride, responding intuitively but always being sufficiently curious to ascertain from me that her expressions, poses and movement were chiming with my intentions. And in so doing, she took us both into that creative space in which the mystery of a story never before told finds form in the choreographic gestures of a model at the top of her game. When that happens, the sense of something freshly discovered, shared by model and photographer, is palpable in the shot. Looking back through the images we made I am incredibly excited by what we have achieved and that by renewing my love of model photography with Rebecca I’m now full of ideas for another shoot. But you’ve probably guessed that it will of course be with Rebecca. I trust that is enough of a recommendation of Rebecca’s attributes for you to contact her for a booking. You really don’t want to miss out on a model who will take you to a high level of achievement with your photography.

I had always wanted to shoot Rebecca but distance was always the issue. When I saw that she was going to at Heavenly Bodies Studio I grabbed the opportunity. I'm so glad I did. We only had a vague plan for the shoot - predominantly art-nude and to see where our ideas took us as we worked together. Once we'd got the lighting to our liking we were away. I came away with some beautiful pictures - one set almost 'religiously' iconic. Rebecca is a fantastic model, I can't believe it's taken me so long to get to work her and I hope I get another chance to work with again in future.

I had a great shoot today at Heavenly Bodies Studio with the lovely Darryl who is friendly, chatty and professional. We met for the first time today and I felt very comfortable and at ease. Darryl had creative ideas, gave me good directions and took care over the lighting so that we produced some striking images. It was a good collaboration and the time flew by. I was pleased to have the opportunity to work with Rebecca for the first time, and am grateful that she agreed to do a shoot with me at Heavenly Bodies Studio on the evening before her planned studio day.

Rebecca arrived well-prepared. During the first part of the shoot she posed in some sumptuous silk garments, which she had selected to give an oriental flavour. Her poses showcased beauty expressed over a wide range of moods; a delight to capture on camera; while her understanding of light greatly helped our compositions. At Rebecca's suggestion, we also made some satisfying images in the warm light of the adjacent garden. We completed our shoot with a set of shots aimed at strength of form, shape and intensity and involving the large supended rope in Heavenly Bodies Studio as an (irresistible) aid: the last part focussed on black and white film photography and included some double exposure experiments. I appreciate Rebecca's tenacity with regard to the B&W aspect of our work.

The commitment, harmony and flow that I experienced while working with Rebecca could not have been bettered. I attribute this to Rebecca being a fantastic model with an engaging personality - so easy to get along with. I am also pleased with the images I have had a chance to process so far.

So what more could one wish for ? Except, of course, to work with Rebecca again when the next opportunity arises.

I had my second shoot with the fascinating Rebecca yesterday at Heavenly Bodies studio. She is amazingly versatile, from off-beat fashion to character portrayal, at which she excels. Her experience is wide and varied, and she brings this to the shoot by making suggestions and discussing each shot so that we can get the best images possible. She is also good fun to work with. Highly recommended.

With no preconceived plans it was a truly collaborative effort and together we came up with some great ideas as the shoot progressed. I had a wonderful first shoot with Rebecca at the great Heavenly Bodies Studio. From early edits it looks like we produced some great images. Rebecca is so lithe and really knows her stuff. The way that she can so easily and readily use her hands and expressive eyes to change the mood is wondrous.

Heavenly Bodies Studio

We hosted the beautiful Rebecca on one of our model studio days at our little studio "Heavenly Bodies studio" and she was absolutely exceptional.

Rebecca is such a beautiful, intelligent and soulful woman and equally professional and respectful to work with.

All photographers booked on the day spoke highly of her and would love to work together again.

My fourth shoot with Becky and it was another great one.

This time Becky had to face a camera which was more than 100 years old. She was patient and tolerant as I spent ages adjusting bits and pieces. The results are great.

She was also happy to work on another crazy idea.

Rebecca is an experienced model requiring little direction other than a broad outline in regards to your aims for the shoot. I was experimenting to a degree during this period she was a paragon of patience. I am very pleased with the portraits and art nudes we shot. She has a mischievous smile, a very likeable personality and a great attitude to her work. I hope to shoot her again in the future.

Rebecca put up with all my changes of clothes that I got her to wear.

She looked fantastic in the different outfits and was very patient throughout despite not feeling too well.

After many setbacks on my side with ever changing dates from my work commitments and the builders in my house, I managed to finally shoot with Rebecca, who was truly understanding and flexible throughout. She is an amazing model to work with, and lives up to her biography of being able to take on many personas. In her posing she can show true emotion and feelings, so that the pictures reflect the character she is portraying and bring the images to life. She is very versatile and willing to attempt different ideas: from recreating Gollum with her own twist to figure studies as silhouettes and shadows. She is also easy to work with and patient. Recommended, especially if you want to shoot something different and unique. .

Rebecca is just amazing in front of the camera. Four hours at Basford Hurst Cottage flew by with her unique artistic mind adding to every image. I cannot speak highly enough of her as a model and contributor to images. Give Rebecca an idea or theme and just watch the artistic magic appear before your eyes. We are working on a project that will take months or even more than a year to complete. How lucky am I ???

We didn't shoot today but because I mistakenly deleted my account recently I am leaving Rebecca another reference as she kindly did for me. I have always seen Rebecca as my go to model if I need someone reliable. Also Rebecca is extremely arty and I know I'm going to get poses and clothes that are perfect for my ideas. One of our shoots in a derelict greenhouse is one of my most loved shoots ever. So yes I throughly recommend Rebecca and hope one day we can shoot again. Thank you Rebecca!!

Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Rebecca hosted a two day studio event here at Basford Hurst Cottage.

Rebecca was so easy to organise everything with, her pre comms were great and she was extremely well organised, ensuring everything was well advertised on all social media platforms and PP.

Rebecca arrived by train and kept me updated of any changes at all times. She brought everything she needed for her two day stay and worked incredibly hard with all the photographers who had booked her. I heard nothing but glowing reports from photographers throughout the days.

Rebecca was a perfect house guest and made sure to look after everything during her stay with us. She is polite, friendly and easy to get along with.

We would have no hesitation to recommend this amazing model and hope to see her again soon!! Thank you Rebecca!!

Had the pleasure of shooting with Rebecca today at her studio day at Basford Hurst Cottage studio. First became aware of Rebecca on Purestorm, but back then she was based in Berlin. So when I saw she had a studio day at Basford I jumped at the chance to shoot with her. Rebecca was well worth the wait, very professional, her knowledge and experience helped achieve some great images. Really appreciated her input and contribution in to making an awesome shoot.

Rebecca came back as one of the models for my latest underwater shoot, this time bringing her sister Elena, as two Tun's are better than one ! :) ( I apologise for that pun ) A delight to work with as ever and producing some amazing interactions with a frame that was submerged. Rebecca brings her own creative input which I'm happy to accommodate, and a poise that few models can achieve underwater, she makes the difficult look easy. Thank you and I will be delighted to welcome you back again at any shoot. I cannot recommend both Rebecca and Elena highly enough.
