Allowing the great wealth of my detailed dreams to be forgotten is an executive decision I've had to make throughout my life. This letting go might be helping me grasp mortality, because almost every single day I allow part of myself to die. I accept that vast swathes of life's rich tapestry bloom and immediately become unknown. Over and over again. The universe is a symphony of things coming into and out of existence.

As a child I used to fantasise that there was a magical book being written alongside my life, which eloquently logged my every thought in complete detail. Now it doesn't bother me that there's no such book, because I understand that my life is that book, brought to life. And just like everything else, even books don't last forever.
