Well what can I say;

I had a fantastic first shoot today with John at Spitfire Studio, John is a very friendly guy and very professional!

Pre-shoot comms were fabulous,along with some amazing ideas..

John knows exactly what he wants from his model & on this basis produces fabulous images ! I felt immediately comfortable and at ease with John & thoroughly enjoyed our shoot, I cannot wait to shoot with John again in the very near future !

John comes very highly recommended, fabulous and professional photographer.. can't wait to see to see some awesome images :-)

Myself and my partner worked with John on an art nude shoot and he was a pleasure to work with. He was friendly and offered us tea and Welsh cakes when we arrived. We both felt comfortable and at ease whilst working with him and would love to arrange another shoot with him soon!

Had a fantastic art nude shoot with John! He was an excellent communicator pre shoot and welcomed us like old friends upon arrival with hot drinks and Welsh cakes! Yum! :) Great conversationalist, we discussed all manner of ideas before starting so we were all singing from the same hymn sheet once the shoot started. John gave excellent direction and received our ideas openly. I would not hesitate to recommend John and I look forward to arranging another in the future :)

So I finally got my shoot with samthedog!

The date of our shoot had to be changed twice, one of which because I'd gotten badly bitten on another shoot.

It was definitely worth the wait! John is a great photographer, with many creative ideas for poses. Working with John is easy. He doesn't try to over-direct posing which means he gave me a general idea of what he wanted and I did it. It meant that the images were more natural!

John is very easy going and very easy to talk to (throughout our shoot we talked about so many different things!)

I really hope to go back to Gloucester and shoot with him again... The images from our shoot are amazing! I would definitely recommend a shoot with samthedog! You need some of his images in your portfolio!

Samthedog What a lovely photographer. John was the first of the photographers on my studio day at New Upper Mills Studio .John was focused and ready to shoot As soon as I arrived It was all action stations We got into the shoot very quickly . I felt relaxed and comfortable with John's ideas. John is easy to work with professional polite just what you need on a shoot. Unfortunately John had a accident with his Camera and its sort of stopped working. Glenn from new upper Mills Studio came to the rescue lending John a camera to complete out shoot. I look forward to seeing the results of our hard work. I hope I get the chance to work with John again maybe at my next studio day.

I highly recommend John to models studio's and MUA's , Thanks once again for a great shoot.

I have worked with John a number of times now and every time I work with him it gets better and better! And every time we create some really strong and beautiful images.

This time John shot me with my bump which was a first and he captured me and my bump just perfectly.

He is very professional, respectful and polite. So easy to get along with and relaxed so the shoot literally flies by as you have been having so much fun!

I have loved every shoot that I have done with John you are always well looked after and made to feel at ease and the images created are stunning! I would 200% recommend John and I really hope to work with him again! Thank you so much!

I finally worked with John during my last Gloucester visit, after having talked about a shoot for months. We shot at Matchbox studio and even though we only had a couple hours, we certainly made the most of it!! John was very polite and friendly as soon as I met him, I found him easy and relaxed to work with.. he was great at giving direction when needed and when he had something specific in mind, but he was also happy to let me have my own input. We did some art nude shapes and some erotica, and I think we got some fab images from our shoot. John is also very respectful and makes sure you are comfortable with everything during the shoot, which for me is a very important point. I've just got back from shooting with John and it was fantastic. We used a fairly simple lighting set up to get some lovely shadows and shapes for an art nude set.

John is friendly, personable and extremely easy to get along with.

We spent a while chatting as he has some very interesting stories and he is clearly extremely passionate about his work, and the results show.

I would definitely recommend John, and our time together flew by very quickly. Would love to work with him again. x

Had a shoot with John last week at Matchbox Studios (have been insanely busy over last week, hence why the delayed reference >.<) for a few hours, and had a wonderful time! He is such a friendly chap, fed me Jaffa cakes and coffee, and we had a whale of a time, doing some art nude/erotic style images, it was quite a workout for me but so fun!

I highly recommend John to every model who might have a wee look at his port, get shooting with this fellow! Much Sparkles x

My third shoot with John now and our first model duo which flowed like magic with the lovely Katie Green, John paired up perfectly and we are already in discussion of doing some more of this kind of work into next year which it is hard to hold the excitement back for! :)

I love working with John and each shoot he does he brings out the true beauty in a models physique with lighting, this time we shot at his home and aside from the duo it was also the first time we had played around with sunlight which was super-cool! Working our way through different sets brought to life the ideas we had talked about in emails before, we work pretty much with telepathy now reading each others mind with poses and suggestions - it really is brilliant.

John's an amazing host, I was kept well topped up with lovely teas and the choc yummies he supplied were to die for! He's without a doubt one of the most courteous photographers out there as he stretches far to look after models and make them feel comfortable at all times. We just get on like a house on fire and work like clockwork while shooting. Seeing the images appear in the follow up to our shoots is so rewarding ...trouble is, it sends me on an excited high again after having only just managed to settle down the buzz after the actual shoot! :D

I will never cease to recommend John with huge compliments, I think each time we shoot we just get more and more creative but even that first encounter was still a true blast. We still stay in touch and talk about all sorts when not shooting, on set we're even worse so I can imagine our vocal chords are relieved when the days finished. Thanks again John, yet another stunning shoot!

Although our plans had to change slightly due to a misfortunate issue with a childminder, John was happy to move our plans around so we all got to shoot together. Well organised, planned and a pleasure to be around yet again!

I had my 2nd shoot with John 9 months ago. I did not mean to leave it this long to write a reference! sometimes you just get behind.

John is a really great guy to shoot with, very professional, chatty, and has lots of ideas, I find my shoots with John go by very quickly. This time we shot at his home and he made sure i felt completely at ease and i really loved the shots we got.

John is a lovely guy and was an absolute pleasure to work with. I'd work with him tomorrow in an instant! :) Preshoot communications were excellent, and during the shoot he was very kind and considerate. We took breaks between difficult poses, and he would always offer me food (including cherries and these lovely pastries) to make sure I wasn't hungry. With every pose made sure I was comfortable. I prefer to stay anonymous in photos, and he was very careful not to get my face in photos.

John is very experienced and knows clearly what he's looking for, which leads to great pictures, and I'm excited to see the results! He was respectful, friendly and great company to work with- I would recommend him to any model!

Thanks as well to Zara Watson and her boyfriend for letting us shoot in their building, which had some really beautiful areas to shoot in.

I had a great second shoot with John! The location was a beautiful little cottage which had so much potential for pictures. I love John's company he is the loveliest guy. The shoot was only 2 hours long so short and sweet :) Thank you for our little shoot John, I really enjoyed it. CT x
