First Studio Shoot of 2021 and what a shoot- was so great to get back to it- Colin was a great host, the loveliest guy we got on so well in the short time we spent chatting away- he even gave me lifts from and to the station. Will be back soon- very soon in fact! Very recommended.

Roxy Issues

I was flattered to receive an invite to one of the studio's most popular nights. It was VERY COVID friendly..The venue was uber sanitized! Could smell the cleaning products from outside :), and temperature checks in place too!

Easy parking and a fab separate changing room made things easy and comfortable. Loved The space and had a real giggle shooting and meeting new, (and talented!) photographers. Looking forward to returning one day soon :* if they'll have me ;)

I’ve been to pathways twice now, the first for a 1-1 lighting tutorial with Colin and the second to put my learning into action. The studio is well equipped with an interesting selection of seating props and a good range of lighting. Colin is a great friendly guy and went out of his way to help me. There’s a separate changing room for your model to use which is goo£ to have. Rates are very competitive, a fab little studio to use if you need one in the Chester area.

I must owe umpteen references as pathways studio was practically like my second home down the road. I last shot at pathways in January and February with a few great photographers before lockdown took over. I have known Colin (owner) for years and he has been such a good supportive friend over the years. Such a great studio to work from, in the heart of Chester city centre, easily accessible with available car parking. I have spent many a time shooting at pathways during 1-2-1s and on club nights and network days, and often have just dropped by for a cuppa, or a few glasses of wine and a good chat with col. Over the years i have come away with many highly memorable moments and many a spectacular image. Highly recommended.

Another fabulous studio day at Pathway Studios!

This was my second time shooting at the studio and it was great fun. Colin really looks after his models and makes sure they are comfortable. He worked really hard to sell the studio day and I was really grateful. He also made sure the heaters were on to make sure I was warm enough whilst modelling.

The studio has really great backdrops, lighting and different quirky props. I really enjoyed my time working there and I hope to come back again. Highly recommended from me!

I had my first studio day at Pathway Studios today and it turned out a great success :) Colin was very helpful with promoting event and we I got booked for 12 hours instead of 8! I came to studio on Friday evening to shoot with one of local photographers who couldn't do Saturday. I stayed overnight and next day I had a nine hours of shooting with five different photographers. I need to go back there for sure :)

Colin is a great host and studio is well equipped.

Worked at Pathways on numerous occasions now. Absolutely love working there...it's where I feel most comfortable. Not only is the studio owner - Colin a great host, he is also a good friend. He's really approachable and leaves you to your shoot but is always there if you need him.

Always recommend this studio - it has everything you need. A good variety of props and great choice of backgrounds and lighting.

I had my first session at this studio last Saturday for Velvet Fox's Swan Lake event. What an amazing place, just full of all you need for an excellent shoot. Loads of lights, a variety of backgrounds, the smoke machine, a welcoming coffee on arrival, lots of props, the smoke machine, all in a space that is comfortable in size. A separate dressing room, and did I mention the smoke machine? The owner, Colin, (great name) couldn't have been more helpful in showing me how the lights and other equipment worked, especially the smoke machine. I had a confusion over the location, but Colin sorted all my problems out in a quiet calm manner.

An excellent experience and thank you to Colin (great name) and the smoke machine, and hope to return soon. A well recommended studio.

So happy to have been asked ro return to the wonderful Pathways studio for another group evening. This is one of my favourite studios to model at and has simply the most lovely bunch of photographers. Colin is great and looks after everyone and organization is spot on.

So glad I finally organised a studio day at Pathways!

Its a grest space and certainky shows how what you do with a space can really bring out its versatility!

With those thoughtful extras like baby wipes and straws, its perfect for models.

Colin is a fab host, I felt instantly welcome and I didnt want for anything because it was all provided and he has adorable pets too!

Pathways is easily one of my absolute favourite studios to tour!

It’s not just the fabulous set up and wonderful clientele... the owner! Mad as a box of frogs and one of the most loveable characters you’ll ever come across, Colin is one of the most dedicated and caring studio owners in this industry so easy to see why he’s been set up for so long! He takes only the best care of his models and should there be any issues at the studio with lighting ect he’s back in there in a shot fixing the issue in no time.

From my first visit last year I knew straight away that I’d be back many times and I’m always looking forward to my return to pathways the second I’m on the train home.

Fabulous studio, fabulous owner and a friend for life.

Always highly recommended to models of all levels!

I highly enjoyed my first ever studio weekend at Pathway Studios in Chester recently with the owner Colin being such a wonderful host.

From the get go communications with Colin were spot on and he informed me on any details and if anyone booked onto my day. We communicated well with each other with the hours quickly filling up resulting in a fully booked weekend with epic results.

We instantly clicked, Colin is so friendly, knowledgeable, respectful, passionate and professional, a complete gentleman and it was a real joy meeting him and having the opportunity to host there for the weekend. We even managed to fit in a wee shoot together with some fantastic images created.

Colin picked me up for my first day as I was staying in a local b&b, he showed me around and kept me fueled with coffee/tea. He was kind enough to let me stay in the studio on my last night there and even bought me breakfast the next day before our next morning of shoots, then dropping me off at the train station which is only a few minutes drive from the studio or a 10 minute walk, so very close if you are coming by train. There is also parking for any drivers out there.

The studio was so warm with Colin having the heaters on which I really appreciated, it is excellent with a lovely dressing room to put all your belongings in and get ready, toilet/wash room, a well equipped, clean and spacious studio with plentiful backdrops, props, a smoke machine and more plus there is natural light coming in and another separate out building for a more industrial look as well as an area on the roof outside to let your juices flow.

You are made to feel so welcome with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and tonnes of creative possibilities. Colin was on hand on both days and his house is next door to the studio so if you need a shower there is that option plus Colin assisted with any needs of the photographers regarding lighting and moving furniture etc.

All the photographers that booked onto our days were lovely meeting some wonderful people and I had some extremely productive and fun shoots nailing some amazing captures.

I highly recommend this amazing studio to all creatives, this is my first time at Pathway and I will definitely be back. Do not miss out on the opportunity to experience Pathway and meet Colin. You will have such a fab time and if your a traveling model you don't want to miss out.

I was booked by Colin for his regular club night once again!

I don't do group shoots often at all, but I just love the atmosphere at Colin's groups, they're always very friendly, creative and a ton of fun! So I'd never turn the opportunity down!

Everyone there is always very respectful and there's no seedy vibes in the room whatsoever! Always accommodating with snacks and drinks, and we even go out for dinner beforehand - which completely breaks the ice and gives you the opportunity to speak to the photographers whom you'll be working with that evening.

Pathway Studios is fully equipped, making for diverse shooting opportunities and an easy going atmosphere. Impeccably run by a very experienced and professional owner, with a heart of gold!
