References for Pathway Studios

Pathways was the very first studio that I shot at all those years millions of years ago :-) and I still see it as being my little home studio, even when I moved to Manchester, the studio is one that I hold very close to my heart and all those who have attended regularly over the years including the owner of course - he’s alright too LOL 😆

I thought that the studio is well overdue a reference from me and so here we go:

Pathways is a great little studio with various backdrops and is well equipped with all the lighting that a photographer requires. It also consists of Various props and furniture, there is also the staircase leading up to the studio that can be utilised and the downstairs changing room.

The outdoors area can also be used if wanting a variety of textured backdrops - graffiti, wooden shed door and brickwork.

I have worked at pathways a few times in 2019 all of which include group shoots/ studio days and recently a Christmas duo studio day with Dahlia rose.

I look forward to returning again this week!

Colin runs a fantastic studio handy location always plenty of snacks/drinks to eat, drink while shooting.

He’s also on hand if you need any last minute technical issues.

This must have been my 6th time here it’s a fab studio great to have one in my city that I haven’t got to go miles for when the mood takes to shoot a model

My third shoot at Pathway Studios because it is an excellent studio, not spacious, has some props, but has all that you need in the way of lights, modifiers, coloured backdrops, separate changing room for the models, and Colin (the owner) keeps it as warm as toast. He is also polite, helpful and considerate and leaves you to get on with doing what you enjoy doing - taking photos. However he lives only yards away from the studio so can be called upon very quickly if you have a problem. I just love the place and recommend it totally.

My second shoot at Pathway Studios as I appreciated it so much last time. Colin (the owner) is a true gentleman, when I had a problem with my camera(!), he immediately offered to lend me a camera for the shoot, an offer that I very much appreciated but decided it would be more efficient in the long run to do a quick home and back journey to resolve the issue. Thanks Colin. He then was happy to extend the fininshing time of the shoot to make up for the lost time while I dashed home (as did the model).

What else is there to like about the studio? The motorised backdrops - can change the backdrop at a push of a button. Nice!!! A large variety of lights (studio and continuous), modifiers, a variery of chairs, and a warehouse space so variety is possible. Also, the Studio is within a few hundred 100 metres of the main street of Chester. Well recommended.

I have visited this studio loads and loads of times now and I always love coming. I stayed with Colin for four days all together and was mostly working from the studio during. I also did a 1-1 studio day and one of Colin’s evening club nights. I really enjoyed both. Thanks a lot for having me..... until next time

This time for an evening group shoot. It's a superb place and great to work at. Was such a friendly and wonderful group of photographers who made me very comfortable.

Pathways is one of the components of a shoot that once booked can be forgotten about because everything will be alright . I've used the studio on a number of occasions, and although the mix of cost and great facilities would make this a good idea anyway, once you add in Colin to the mix, it becomes a complete no-brainer. Colin is the studio owner, he's helpful, accommodating, knowledgeful, always there with a brew, and has one of the most relaxed, calm and friendly attitudes I think I've ever seen. If you're near Chester, don't give it a second thought, you won't be disappointed...

Great fun and so relaxed.

The photographers are all so easy to work with and very professional.

My first visit to Pathways Studio and I wasn't disappointed. While the studio is not large, it is extremely well equippped (I tried to count how many lights and modifiers were there and got into double figures and gave up). It also has motorized backdrop rolls of Black, White, and Grey as well as Paper rolls on the back wall. No low ceiling to bounce unwanted light down. The owner (Colin) is extremely helpful and gives good comms as well as leaving the studio when you are shooting but immediately available if you want help as he lives only 30 seconds walk from the studio! I fully recommend Pathways.

Pathway studio has become one of my favourite places I work over this past year. I have been a few times now. Colin the studio owner always offers to put me up in his home during my time in the area. Colin is the loveliest guy you will ever meet. I’ve never seen him sulking or angry ever he is just so nice. Nothing is to much. The studio it’s self is a great place to work with lots of backdrops and good model facilities. I’m already planning my next tour to the area for next year and I’m sure there will be many more after that too. Thanks for everything

What an epic studio! My first studio day here and I absolutely loved it! I contacted the studio about hosting a day and was so pleased when Colin said yes. His pre shoot comms are really great, keeping me up to date about how many slots were left and when the event became fully book. When I arrived I was welcomed by Colin who is just a lovely down to earth guy and shown around. We then shot together and I’m so pleased I got the chance to work with him.

During my time there I was offered food and drink and looked after so well. There are so many different backdrops and props to use. I loved every minute of it and I really hope I get to go back! Highly recommended from me! Thanks Colin!

My second shoot here at pathways , colin is a very friendly and very helpful , always there to greet you and the photographer and very accomodating, makes sure you have all you need and always says to give him a shout if need anything. Very good communications too

Reccomend this studio very nice work place for any model lovely dressing room area with mirror and chair and sofa too

Where to start! I had my first shoot at Pathways this evening, at one of the club nights.

Precoms were fab. I was made to feel extremely comfortable from the moment I arrived, everyone was really nice, relaxed and super professional.

The whole night flew by so quickly, it was honestly so much fun!

I already can not wait till the next time, couldn't recommend enough. :)

Just had another fab weekend at Pathway Studios. Literally my second home. I've been going there regularly for about 8 years now (even though I live on the other side of the country!!)

I adore Colin the studio owner, he's one of the most amazing people you will ever meet. So kind, friendly, accommodating and helpful! He makes everyone feel welcome and part of a community!

Had my first visit to Pathway Studios on Sunday and had a great shoot with Valis Volkova. Great communication from Colin the studio owner, who is very helpful, knowledgeable and a friendly guy with it. Highly recommended and I will certainly be back to use it again.

I finally got myself over to Chester for a studio day here and I'm really glad I did! Not only did I get to shoot with two fabulous photographers, Colin himself also booked in an hour with me and nailed some killer shots that I'm really proud of! Colin is a lovely gentleman who truely cares and looks after his models to the highest standard. As soon as I arrived the night before, Colin not only put me up for the night he also took me for dinner for a lovely curry before I settled in for the night. People should really take note because this guy right here knows how to treat a model. He was kind and respectful throughout both my stay and shooting and he was so easy going and fun to be around. I'm already itching to book in another day at Pathways! Maybe even a full weekend so I can just hang out too! Thankyou for a wonderful stay Colin.

I had my first studio say at Pathway studio this Saturday. Colin the studio owner kept in contact with me so I knew what I was doing. I was offered loads of coffee and it was nice and warm there. The changing rooms are nice lots of mirrors and same as the studio ... really warm. I enjoyed working there and cant wait to come back again soon. Thanks a lot... Bobbi

This is a great studio to work from. Colin is a really friendly guy who made sure I was settled in properly and set up right before leaving us to the shoot. He made sure I knew he was on hand if I needed anything and even came back to make drinks for everyone and see if everything was going as desired. He helped with the lighting and even lent out some props to help with the shoot to help achieve the disired affect. It has easy access and plenty of space to park and there was plenty of room inside to shoot from.

I wouldn't think twice about contacting Colin to use his studio again if I was in the area again and wanting to do a shoot. I highly recommended him to both photographers and models.

Pathways is my second home and I always adore coming back up to Chester, for no other reason than to come to Pathways and visit Colin!

Pathways is the place where my career really started to take off almost 10 years ago, so I'm always very grateful to Colin and the studio holds a lot of sentimental value to me!

Colin has become one of my closest friends in the industry and I can't recommend him highly enough!

Pathways is not only a studio, but a beautiful community of like-minded creative people and I'm very proud to be a part of that community.

Highly recommended and I'll obviously be coming back! Xx
