Crossroads Studio

Marie hosted another of her fabulous studio days here at Crossroads Studio today.

As always Marie arrived with plenty of outfits and looks to more than fill the day. Anyone who has worked with Marie will fully understand this !

As always Marie was her talkative self, funny and entertaining.

As a studio owner who runs studio days Marie is just the type of model that you would want.

Took the opportunity to photograph Marie-Jean in a local studio shortly after another event with Brian Sandham. Enamoured by her creative desire to collaborate to achieve the best results possible. Flexible, versatile and fun. MJ is extremley hard working; at the end of the day, although tired, she was still motoring and I got my best shots. This is a model that doesn't sit still and looks to try new things and push boundaries, within reason. I highly recommend Marie-Jean and look forward to our paths crossing again.

This was my third visit to shoot at Marie's home and it was as enjoyable and interesting as our previous shoots together.

Marie was coming from a busy schedule of touring days but the enthusiasm for modelling was there from the start, as were the friendly conversation and the good ideas.

We worked through a number of costume, background and room changes and together we made a lot of images I'm very pleased with. Despite having a longer shoot time we were still seeing other possibilities at the end - meaning there's lots to come back for!

Marie is encouraging, supportive and knowledgeable - she is also very photogenic and fun to work with. I wholeheartedly recommend her to all photographers and hope to work with her again.

I had a fantastic shoot with Marie-Jean at her home which is amazingly naturally lit and perfect for shooting in.

Marie-Jean was a joy to to work with and has a wealth of experience which is perfect for someone like me who doesn’t have tonnes of experience. Completed a shoot with Marie at her home, arraged very late after a cancellation but pre-shoot comms were fine and I found the location with only a little difficulty. Great company, very easy to be with, and I felt that we built a great rapport from early in the shoot, and to my mind, the resulting images show that.

Marie has a large and varied wardrobe that filled an entire room, and the chosen outfits fitted my ideas about 'smart casual' exactly.

I have no hesitation at all in recommending Marie and I would certainly work with her again.

I was lucky enough to join Marie on a recent group shoot, part of one of her Ethereal events. I have to say she was an absolute hero. The event was well run form the start running smoothly throughout.

We did 5 hours location shooting involving her wearing various gowns she had brought in for the occasion. That it was about 27 degrees all afternoon and she carried on with such professionalism ending up in the lake at the end.

The gowns she had for the event were stunning, her posing, as always was varied and precise in spite of the heat. Her humour never faded.

Absolutely recommended, if you get the chance to shoot with her, take it.

2nd Curtain Photography

Had another fab shoot with Marie at Parklands. Marie was holding an Ethereal Studio event, so I took the opportunity to spend some time with Marie on a 1 to 1 shoot.

It was a beautiful sunny day & we did some studio work & then went to explore the outdoors for some location shots.

Marie always understands my concepts & nails the poses to suit what I am looking for. We always have a great laugh & produce fab images.

She is always kind enough to bring me some nutty milk for my coffee breaks, where we have a good catch up & put the worlds to right, before going on to produce more fab images.

Always a fab relaxed shoot & I can't recommend Marie enough.

In Search of That Perfect Shot..............

Attended Marie's event at Parklands Studio today. She was awesome as ever! Fab posing and made it a fun shoot with her glowing personality. Marie always gives 110% to her events and today was no exception. Just a few of us due to covid, all restrictions were adhered to, but it was still a very pleasant day. Lovely to be back at Parklands too! Thank you Marie, I hope we can shoot again soon, best wishes Jann :-)x

Wilder Mind

I had the pleasure of working with Marie for the first time at her Ethereal event. It was a well really well organised and Marie made everybody feel at home straight away. Her posing, ideas and outfits were brilliant and she was a real trooper for jumping into a cold lake to pose for some shots - a great finale!

It had been far too long since I last photographed Marie! Certainly worth the wait. A bag full of amazing outfits and as vivacious and wonderful as ever. Within in a few minutes we were making some fabulous images and having a laugh whilst we worked. Truly dedicated and professional.

Had a first real post-lockdown shoot and who better to be the model than Marie! Had an excellent session at the Boardroom in Derby where we used the features and natural light to create some nice and simple images. Marie was as professional as ever and used her posing ability to produce the images I was looking for. It’s great to have a model who can pose without direction and understands what the snapper is looking for - so he can get on with mucking about with the light. A splendid three hours, very highly recommended and I’m sure we’ll be working together again …..

Camelot Photography

Enjoyed a 2 hour shoot with Marie at York Photo Studio this afternoon. Pre-shoot comms started off well but they tailed off which was entirely down to a family situation I had which resulted in the shoot sort of creeping up on me.

Undeterred I set off for YPS confident that we would get some good images regardless of the lack of planning. Marie had told me that she intended to bring a wide range of outfits so I was sure there would be something that suited both of us.

Decided to concentrate on my take on 'fine art' which given my skill level is best described as 'on the road to fine art'.

We managed 3 looks in the 2 hour slot and I'm very happy with the images. As I remembered from my previous shoot with Marie, she's great to work with. Professional but chatty with it. Works amazingly well without much or any direction and delivers such good poses that it would be impossible not to walk away with some great images.

Hope we get the chance to shoot again and it's obviously a recommendation as well.

Quantum

Had a most enjoyable two hour shoot with Marie yesterday at York Photo Studio, this was my first shoot with her and hopefully not my last.

We shot with strobes first followed by natural outdoor lighting. I was impressed with the standard of Marie's clothing and makeup, everything was perfect.

This was the first shoot of the day, it started well and flowed smoothly throughout the two hours. Marie's posing was excellent, I was so impressed that I did not give direction, just a few hints.

Marie is very easy to work and chat with, I recommend her 100% to anybody who is looking for a quality model.

I was fortunate enough to have my first shoot with Marie and we had a competition blast. Marie was an absolute gem. She is simply a terrific model and a lovely person. She made me feel instantly comfortable and at home, we seemed to click instantly. I have even acquired two gorgeous new feline friends. I had arranged a little tour up north and we happened to start chatting and I feel so lucky to have been able to include her.

Her preshoot coms were great, we had a good idea of what we wanted to shoot. Her flat has some beautiful natural light spaces to shoot in and a fantastic wardrobe to select from. She has a fantastic range of precise poses, she is confident and needs no direction but is completely open to ideas and suggestions. Her make up was beautiful done and it is clear she takes great pride and passion in her work. we covered several sets and outfits and finished on art nude, she excelled at all beautifully.

Marie is very friendly and easy going, putting me at ease straight away, we had a lot of fun and laughs and I am thrilled with the lovely images we created together.

Absolutely recommended 1000%, thank yo for an amazing shoot Marie, I am looking forward to doing it again soon xx

We booked Marie for an advanced lighting workshop with Gary Hill at my studio in Cleckheaton. I’m pretty new to studio let alone setting up workshops!

From first contact Marie was amazing. She answered all the questions that I didn’t even know I needed to ask, so a massive help!

Marie helped out with the looks and styling too which was a god send!

Very patient with all the students and we learnt some great stuff.

Massively recommend Marie. I just wanted to worry about the lighting and Marie posed to suit every set up which was one less thing to have to worry about.

Really look forward to working with you again
