Had the great pleasure of catching up with Marie at one of her events at the Boardroom PHLY

Marie organised a "Perfectly Pastels" shoot & our model was Tegan Elizabeth.

The outfits were lush, very pretty indeed, but when Marie is organising an event, I wouldn't expect anything less. She has some beautiful top notch outfits.

We had a great day shooting with Tegan & it was great seeing Marie again for a good chin wag.

Marie booked me to model for an event at the boardroom studio as part of her “create” events forum called Perfectly Pastel as she’s pregnant at the moment so focusing on her maternity shoots.

Communication prior to the event was clear and concise and the event once advertised sold out in under 2 hours.

She’s so lovely and made sure I was ok throughout the event as it ran from 10-5pm.

Being a model herself she knew how imperitive it was for the model to be looked after, she made sure I was warm and had plenty to drink as shared lots of behind the scenes with me as that’s always nice to have for social media.

The event was fabulous and I can’t wait to see the images that come out from it.

It was refreshing to collaborate with another model who was so down to earth, friendly and not bitchy or horrible, as some models are.

I would definitely recommend Marie’s workshops and also booking her as a model as her images are great!

I look forward to working with her again in the future as it was a breeze.

Crossroads Studio

I’ve known and worked with Marie for quite a few years now and she always delivers whatever you’ve asked for and then some.

At the moment Marie is concentrating on set designs and creating events. I am delighted that Crossroads is one of the studios she will be holding her events.

This one was advertised as Fashion with an Edge. It certainly was that.

Marie had hired an amazing model, KittyKat8311, and her outfits were latex. The set was simple but matched the outfits exactly.

Being a model herself Marie always has the welfare of the models as her priority so set design, outfits and timings are all meticulously worked on beforehand.

If you are considering a shoot and need a set and outfits then you really should call in Marie who will have you sorted before you know it.

I have a problem with Marie Jean. I am running out of things to say about her. Whether it’s as a model or as in this case as organiser, planner, stylist, supervisor, entertainer, and generally all round nice person.

I attended an event organised by Marie Jean at Crossroads Studio, the second I have been to, and again it was well planned with a great model, Kittykat8311, some great looks and that undefinable something that makes the time fly and a shoot enjoyable.

So whether you need a model, a stylist or just someone to get you and your shoot organised Marie Jean is the one to seek out.

I modelled for Marie at an event she organised at CrossRoads Studio, she was an absolute dream. Very communicative through the whole process from conception to the day, very supportive and lovely, could not asked for a more knowledgable lead on what I needed as a new model. Would strongly recommend and would love to work for her again.

Excellent afternoon of shooting vintage Hollywood style, Marie was an excellent free-posing model in outfits befitting the genre and enthusiastic to achieve the best images possible. What can I say...

Marie came to me late last year and asked if I wanted to model for her Vintage Valentine Event at Crossroads Studio and I don't think I could have said yes faster if I tried!

From day 1 Marie has been excellent with her pre shoot communications which made me feel at ease every step of the way.

Not only did Marie organise the event, team, outfits etc she STYLED AND DESIGNED THE ENTIRE SET.

It was filled with fabric, candelabras, flowers, custom hanging pieces, a swing, a vintage suitcase etc. She created the most beautiful set.

Marie on shoot days was full of energy and couldn't do enough to help- to the point where I had to remind her to sit down, she is 6 months pregnant after all!

I cannot wait to work with her again in the future and in case you needed any further swaying to hire Marie or not, HIRE HER.

She can design, pull together a team in a flash and she's not a bad model either ;)

But seriously, Marie is a one of a kind in all of the best ways possible. ♥

I've shot with Marie before but this was the first time of attending one of her styled events. Organisation of the event was all sorted in advance so no stress there.

The sets that she'd styled and outfits she'd sourced, some of which had eye watering values, were perfect for the event and looked lovely on Erica.

There was plenty of scope for creativity whether it was changing light setups, utilising props as well as plying with different angles or compositions. I liked how people shot individually and weren't in the same room so watching what people did, meaning that everyone did their own things without be influenced by seeing others ideas.

The crossroads studio was ideal for the event and the group I was on was very friendly and easy going so it was a very relaxed but productive event.

I'd happily go to another one of Marie's events as she puts so much effort into them plus she's a great laugh. Oh and did I mention there was also some snacks and cakes plus tea/coffee on tap when people wanted. Beinterested to see what she comes up with next

This was Marie Jeans second styled shoot, as stylist at Crossroads Studio. The first one was good, this one was even better and I am already looking forward to the next one. MJ created a set with a wide range of shooting possibilities, sourced a great selection of out fits and selected a beautiful model, Ballerina Erica Mulkern, who complemented the theme and the look wonderfully.

I have worked with Marie lots of times as a model and this vintage valentine set that Marie had created was out of this world. beautiful soft pastel colours fabric, flowers, props and a beautiful swing, the gowns were amazing.

Marie has certainly set her satandards at the very top and a great achievment with being pregnant. Marie worked exceptionly hard all day to make sure that fantastic images were achieved.

she had an amazing team to bring all this together as well as a beautiful model in Erica Mulkern.

These events that Marie is creativing is a must for all, highly recommend attend them if you get the chance.

Absolute pleasure being able to attend and working with you Marie and Erica.

Not like MJ needs another reference from a studio BUT...

She is simply incredible and we were so lucky to have her at Zavod today. Excellent pre-comms, arrived earlier than expected, with a lot of kit that was spot on for the moodboard of the shoot.

She was up for any crazy ideas that we had in mind too and delivered them, of course, effortlessly.

I am so looking forward for Marie to hopefully come back to our studio soon and bring her shining creativity back into the building.

Shoot no.2 at home with MJ and another stunning afternoon just being creative. Theme was set for a wet look set of portraits and we hit the ground running... Marie is such a delightful creative person and our ideas and images just seemed to flow. Great ideas and fantastic expression & pose - Obviously I would fully recommend Marie - although I was swayed with coffee cake :) I am really happy with the images captured and will be shooting again together in the not too distant future!

Fab second mixed photo and video shoot with the fantastic Marie, who's a huge amount of fun to work with. She's got a wonderful eye for style, so always arrives with a selection of great looking outfits, she's smart and insightful and easily grasps whatever odd concept you throw her way, and she's really fun, and adventurous.

This reference is not about how good Marie Jean is as a model, but it turns out she is multi talented and equally amazing as a stylist.

I had a 1-2-1 session at her styled event "Ethereal" at Crossroads Studio. The event was well planned, communication was good, and the styling was outstanding, Marie had selected an outstanding young model for the day, who worked tirelessly, the set was imaginative and the choice of looks was good, and worked well with the theme. Marie was there to offer suggestions as to how to get the best from her styling but was equally willing to make sure that the photographers ideas were included and accommodated. Over all a great couple of hours in very good company with Marie, the model Olivia and Olivias mum and chaperone. The images will keep popping up as there are so many great looks.

Now Marie Jean is not only recommended as a model, but also as a stylist, just book her now!

Marie is just fab to work with from organising to actual shooting. Friendly, creative and above all professional and the images just kept flowing. Marie is extremely hard working and offers coffee & cake (if you' are lucky)... We shot for half a day at her amazing home and racked up loads of creative images from natural light portraits, studio, boudoir and art nude. I brought along lots of studio gear and we hit the ground running. AMAZING model to work with and I fully recommend and hope that I can shoot with her again before too long.

I have shot with Marie on a number of occasions, both in a studio and at her home - which gives some indication of how I value her.

Marie is friendly and talkative whilst also being stylish and professional in her modelling and knowledge of photography.

This shoot was at her home. Together we worked through a number of ideas, costume changes, locations and poses. The whole session felt relaxed though we created a lot of images I'm happy with.

To sum up: Marie is stylish and photogenic but more importantly she is easy to work with and fun to be with. I recommend Marie to all photographers.

I had amazing first shoot with the amazing Marie at her home in leeds Marie is so much fun she is very easy going model very friendly and kind Marie is amazing model she is stunning gorgeous lady she is one of the lovelies model you could ever meet she is the best model ever in my eyes We had a great shoot working with a mixture of natural light, flash and LED Marie know where the natural light was we both had amazing ideas I jumped at Marie ideas she had we had a lot of fun we had a lot of laughs ​of of jokes she even nicked one my saying now it is one of marie new favourite phrase 😆 marie is very down to earth and a lot of fun to be around. Pre coms we’re spot on and she was friendly and approachable in her messages before the shoot and after the shoot she is so layed back very easy to get on with she is so chilled out she is very chatty Marie is always up for a laugh jokes she is so funny she is very respectful she is very polite she made me feel comfortable on the shoot marie is passionate about her modelling she is very hard working it was a pleasure working shooting with marie she was amazing host she was amazing at it I 100% recommended Marie all the photographers and models I cant wait for our next shoot thanks for today I loved every minute of it kind regards ian xx
