Had another fantastic impulsive shoot with Jon over this weekend as we both wanted to take full advantage of the lovely hot weather and do some location work. Our plans went little a stray and we ended up with us both limping but laughing hysterically ...and covered in some form of sludge?!!!. However un phased we improvised and found ways to create some truly amazing shots that are very different to anything we have shot before.

What I love about shooting with Jon, other than the fact we are frequently in fits of laugher and throwing around double entendres like confetti is that we are both very experimental and with a cool "lets give this a try" vibe. This means I feel confident to suggest and try new ideas learning and advancing as a model which I think makes him one of my all time favourite photographers to shoot with and I am fortunate a very good friend too.

Of course I'd recommend shooting with Jon if you get the chance, he's totally awesome and so much fun to create with :-)

He always has lots of creative ideas and he seems to nail every shot, I honestly don't know how he does it.

Big Shot Studio

Had the pleasure of meeting the exceptionally talented Jon Downs yesterday and it was great to have him in the studio. He was doing a workshop with the super talented Theresa Louise followed by a shoot with the wonderful Em Theresa.

Not only is Jon an exceptional talent as a photographer he is a friendly fun loving bloke who obviously doesn't take himself too seriously in that he is certainly not conceited in anyway about his talent.

Jon had a laugh in the studio and was totally respectful of the environment and people in it, also offering to tidy up after himself! I did have a look at the back of his camera and all I can say is it is not hard to see why his workshops are so popular, the results were some seriously spectacular images.... I am totally jealous of this man's talent, super photographer and super nice bloke, and my recommendation cannot speak louder than this man's portfolio. It was lovely to meet you at long last Jon!

Jon and I shot together at Big Shot studio, and it was such great fun! We mostly made use of the natural light and a few of the (many) props the studio had to offer, as well as their ring light, We shot so many great sets, from portraiture up to boudoir and art nude. Jon is obviously an excellent photographer, I've always loved his style so was really glad he was up for shooting again! We had great banter too, I laughed a tonne and the 6 hours flew by, and sooo many awesome edits have come out of the shoot already. Can't recommend Jon enough, he is a lovely genuine guy and a super photographer! Thanks Jon :)

I recently booked Jon for a couple of hours of tuition, working with the lovely Theresa Louise as the model at Big Shot studio. I've always loved his work and have had great shoot with him on the other side of the lens so wanted to learn a bit about how he makes his beautiful images! I learnt so much, having not a huge amount of knowledge to start with Jon had to start with the basics, but he is a really good patient teacher. I left with loads of tips and a bunch of gorgeous images of Theresa (largely thanks to Jon and Theresa's hard work and talents it must be said - but I have learnt so much too!) - plus we had a really good laugh the entire time as well. Very much recommended by me, Jon is a star!

I shot at Jons house shortly before he moved from MK. We shot in all rooms of the house using many selections of my lingerie. Jon is a bundle of fun to work with and we were in fits of laughter throughout. We had last shot 4 years ago at my home where we got our first FPI! jon is a awesome photographer, I am looking to book with him again quite soon once he gets settled again. He is 100% reccommended by me and i am more than happy to refer him to other models.

Had the pleasure of working with Jon today on a training session with himself and Theresa Louise. Jon is a legend and everyone definitely needs the "Downsy Touch " in their photos . Hes an extremely good communicator whilst explaining his methods ,making it easy for you to understand what he means and how he gets the shots he gets .Hes a wealth of a knowledge and loves to pass on the knowledge which he has .

Jon and I shot together last weekend at his home in MK. This was our first shoot together, it went so well! Jon was chatty and friendly, and I felt comfortable throughout the shoot. Jon had loads of ideas and we got so many good shots! The turn around for the images was within a week aswel!

I had a awesome shoot with Jon, there was lots of pre communication prior to the shoot,and i felt instantly comfortable.

It was a freezing day but we managed to scout out some little hidden locations and got some awesome shots, it totally built up my confidence .

And he was professional at all times as well as a human being with .. a great sense of humor!

Would totally love to work with him in the future.

He has built my confidence so much that i now wish to start modelling again.

And of course hes work is just amazing so i was very flattered when he wanted to shoot with myself.

Wow, how to learn a lot in a very short space of time...feed Jon biscuits and coffee. Fantastic morning shooting at my house with him and his awesome model wifey Theresa. Learned new tricks, was reminded of old skills I should have remembered myself, and in a short space of time learned how to see the light in a different way. The images I've already looked at are superb, thanks for the free gift and the knowledge you've both shared!

Today was another 1-2-1 tutorial with Mr Downs but this time with a photographer we are both quite close to. Definitely a friend, not just a photographer.

We shot at Adrian's House and the light and settings were absolutely stunning.

Jon can teach any photographer from any setting. Absolutely incredible at what he does.

I have seen, met and worked with many talented people around the world for the past 22 years but Jon Downs is a "Living Legend" he is not less than "Piccaso or Van Gogh". I flew 3,868 miles just to meet this man an to learn from him. I am not only his fan but now also his student. Sir it was my true honor to learn from you. as i mentioned to him also there should be a whole section in a mesuem dedicated to his work.

Jon Downs is a living lenged...!!! the world is yet to discover him to his full potential.

Had a couple of days shooting with Jon, as always totally awesome to work with and had a great laugh while capturing some awesome shots 😊 I really love shooting with Jon because I feel so relaxed and trust him enough to experiment as a model with new ideas.

I always find trying to summarise an excellent shoot difficult! From the moment Jon walked through my front door wearing a Bring me the Horizon hoodie, I knew we would get on like a house on fire. I knew this shoot would be fab as I have admired Jon's work for quite some time, I feel very flattered that we had the opportunity to work together! To say this shoot exceeded my expectations would be an understatement. Jon is easy to talk to (I should know, we spent 2/4 hours yakking!!), and has such a creative eye it's impressive to witness how he captures an image. I absolutely loved seeing the BOC and really looking forward to seeing the final pictures too. Overall, I know I'm going to work with Jon again and if you find yourself with that chance, you'd be foolish not to take it!
