I spent a fabulous weekend working with Jonathan on my most recent Summers Abroad Manor Event!

Jonathan was great company and a fab addition to the weekend group that were all staying over, it was truly lovely getting to know him a little more as we had only worked together once before. On the shoots Jonathan was paired up with a few different photographers throughout the weekend, he got on well with all of them and modelling for his group was always lovely :D

He got some utterly gorgeous images throughout the weekend from what I have seen so far and I can't wait to see more results!

Summers Abroad

Jonathan attended our events for the first time last weekend when he joined our UK Manor Event.

We had a gorgeous manor home in the North Cotswolds that had lots of shooting opportunities both indoors and outdoors. Jonathan was booked on the full weekend so got to work in all the different shooting areas with a variety of models too.

Jonathan is literally an event organisers dream! He worked incredibly well alongside every photographer he was paired with and was very kind and respectful to all of our models. He was really great company in the evenings and was such a great addition to the whole weekend :D

He is more than welcome on any of our events in the future and we already look forward to hosting him in November on our next UK event :D

Jonathan is a semi-regular at Splash Point. He's always pleasant, chatty and easy-going, and he clearly enjoys what he does and just likes to just see what becomes while collaborating with model ideas and the surroundings on the day.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Jonathan for the first time last week on my recent North West tour.

The shoot as absolutely super! From the moment he arrived I felt like I had known him years! Johnathan is super friendly and really chatty too. We started with some street fashion outside around the streets of Chester and then did the rest of the shoot back at the accommodation I had booked for my tour. From what I saw on the back of the camera we got some absolutely incredible images!!

I really enjoyed Jonathans company and the shoot really flew by! I would more than happily recommend him to others and can't wait for him to join us on my Manor event next month :D

Another amazing shoot with Jonathan! As I was planning on doing a studio day in the area I messaged him about a potential shoot and we quickly arranged everything, he even let me stay at his for the night, making my journey a lot easier! :)

On the day he picked me up at the station, had lovely food at the local Wetherspoons (always a good start!), and then took some amazing images at his home studio. Jonathan was well prepared, lots of different ideas, beautiful backdrops, cool outfits...what more can you ask for?? Ee even managed to look at some of the images on his laptop on the next morning before I had to leave for my studio day, and they looked absolutely stunning! Can't wait to see the final results!

I have had the pleasure of working with Johnathan on a few occasions in 2019 after being introduced to him by another photographer friend of mine. Johnathan is just a breath of fresh air to work with - His work is just captivating in every way and I always look forward to working with him - I just know we will get amazing results every single time! We have covered both studio, location at a beautiful abbey, and recently shot together at Pathways studio on myself and Dahlia Roses’ studio day in December where of course our themes were Christmassy... This was the shoot that really helped to push me into the Xmas spirit. We had Christmas songs on the go too, and Johnathan was Uber quick to deliver the edited images over the Xmas period. They put a big smile on my face and I sure had to share them right away :) They just looked stunning! Thanks so much Jonathan for some cracking shoots last year, and hopefully we can set another one up soon.

Highly recommended- you will not be disappointed.

After initially meeting Jonathan on another photography event: we then found the chance to work together one-to-one at his lovely home in Chester during a tour I was doing/on my way back up from after being in the South-West. This was my last shoot of the trip and it really made certain that my tour ended with a super productive bang! :)

In the short timeframe we had (we did things relatively last minute and based on my travels/Jonathan’s last minute availability) we completely nailed some highly creative concepts both in a classic studio environment with fun backdrops since Jonathan has his own space kitted out perfectly... But also more moody/boudoir style literally using available light from a tablet! Talk about really pushing the boundaries with what you can do with ambient light! Yes we were on a roll: a bit of elegance/classiness, mysterious portraits, some fun seasonal themes and then the creative set to finish. It was one cracking shot after another in the back of his camera! :D Jonathan has a lot of experience shooting models and a huuuge amount of artistic interest and enthusiasm to think outside the box and try stuff which might just give you a killer shot. He’s a very rewarding person to team up with actually because as a model, it’s always nice to try innovative and different ideas: so when a photographer has such a vision of such, it’s really cool to be involved in that and see how the results come out.

AWESOME photographer where knowing his stuff is concerned!!!! Going back to that last set we did; I am still totally blown that such crisp pictures could come out of a very dark room and tiny light source... But Jonathan just made it look easy as he pressed all the right buttons in camera. His sculpting of the image starts on the shoot for sure and he doesn’t mind taking the time/putting the effort in to get something quality. :)

I’m already looking forward to working with Jonathan again - and would certainly rush back to work at his place again in the future as I was so well looked after and met with the best hospitality imaginable from him and his family. He has a separate room where models can set up camp/do makeup adjustments and have privacy whilst they get sorted with outfits etc. Then the etiquette and professionalism was absolutely on-pointe; it was so easy to strike a good one-to-one rapport with him and the whole shoot was very chilled/not rushed. I was met with the offer of delicious tea upon arrival and even kindly offered accommodation - had I still been mid tour and not on my way home from this point I would have very happily snapped up this offer as Jonathan is a very safe and good-hearted photographer/person that I recommend exceedingly. :)

I had the nicest time at Jonathan's with him and his lovely family. A right giggle! Jonathan is a true gent and I truly mean that. Love talking to him and working with him, his pre comms are always on point. Helpful as hes definitely more organised than me haha! I love the work we produce and even though I wasnt feeling 100percent the results of his talent truly speak for themselves. I have no doubt he will continue to amaze me and we will continue to work together creatively.

This was to be my first time working with this lovely gent, and what a fabulous situation to do so where we had stunning locations at our fingertips in a really pretty part of the world (Glen Affric) on the Autumn Beauty workshop hosted by PhotoClassic. :D We hit things off very positively, and have since had our own one-to-one shoot which also went brilliantly (another essay haha!)

Jonathan had made his own way to the lovely hotel in which we stayed for the Autumn Beauty and was there before we were so it was great to be introduced properly before the full swing of the next few days. He’s definitely a well organised person and very passionate about photography - he’d driven up from Chester after all and was raring to go from the start! The event itself actually had a bit of a re-jumble because of the newest weather forecasts (which you never really know in Scotland until the last minute what it’s going to do sometimes!) so the shooting itineraries were brought forward/back and swapped to follow the sunshine which worked great: Jonathan was just super chilled, happy to go with the flow and got well and truly stuck-in even though the schedule that he’d been anticipating had changed. He’s just a very highly enthused person who grasps every creative opportunity with both hands and makes the best from it! And indeed he made some absolutely corking images too!

Myself and the other model (Jessica Taylor) were modelling a variety of different styles, as anticipated, in different locations as the days progressed. Sometimes it was the classic “art nude in a lovely scene” which we all love/works every time, then other times it was more conceptual ideas ranging from pretty dresses and smoke bombs/gigantanormous parachute skirts and even portraits! So amid the usual location challenges for photographers (balancing settings/light as it literally changed every 5 minutes or getting the right angle in the buzz of the moment), they also had it on there hands to set the scene as per the style with all this customisation going on for story-telling shots, simple or big and arty! Well Jonathan barely batted an eyelid... If it wasn’t already known then you would have thought he’d been on an event before because we was just cool as a cucumber as he excelled with every shooting opportunity there was, nailing quality shots that really did every element of the scene complete justice. On the down-time/after the shoot sessions Jonathan showed some of his work on the computer when he’d got chance to wire everything up back at base; and the excitement of seeing the fruits of everyone’s labour in full glory IS the very reason why I love this job so much. :) Total epic-ness!!!

So yes: dozens of lovely pictures came out of this first encounter with Jonathan... But so did many awesome laughs/chats and social value which is the other nice thing about a PhotoClassic trip because it’s got it all in one. :) We had dinner as a group at the wonderful restaurant attached to the hotel after each day, running over the fun that had been had in the hours previous: and generally chatting about everything and everything! A lot of the team had either been on such a trip before or were models/staff so we had that familiar rapport - Jonathan got totally in with the vibe right away even though it was his first time joining and the whole atmosphere was terrific. Jonathan is very confident and chatty so any model would easily be able to break the ice and fall into a positive working flow with him. His upbeat character makes that so easy. Not least his totally professional approach and respectful nature towards everyone on board for a shoot/event. This photographer really is one I very highly recommend therefore. :)

Thankfully the rain stayed off for our shoot and we made the most of the scenery. Jonathan was lovely to work with, very nice man and very talented.

Had a lovely afternoon last month shooting with Jonathan .He happened to be passing through Glasgow so I was very pleased to be able to set something up with him at my dance studio last min. Jonathan is very easy to work with , very Knowlegable and liked to experiment with different ideas . It was a very fun and pleasant afternoon . I had some finished shots back and I am very pleased with them . Highly recommend to any model .
