Ghost Light Photography

A remote shoot with Ivory Flame is something of a masterclass in transforming a space into a multitude of shooting opportunities. A range of backdrops, lengths of material and some key pieces of furniture were used to transport me to different places, different times. Detailed pre-shoot communications gave us a really solid base on which to build, with continued discussion of all aspects of our shoot throughout.

Ivory Flame took a great deal of time and effort to make a remote shoot, using a space she has used many times before, uniquely “mine” and I fully appreciated all the work that was put in to constantly changing the environment. We were lucky to have some great natural light for the majority of our time, but when that began to fade it simply gave us another opportunity to try something new. You get the impression that there will always be a solution.

Working with Ivory Flame is always special, but a remote shoot takes this to another level. Thank you for a fantastic shoot.

Have just had my first remote shoot with Ivory Flame and am totally awestruck. She has been completely amazing. I've loved her work for some time and am grateful of the opportunity to shoot with her. Pre-shoot coms were perfect and we were able to get some ideas put together before we shot. Booking was quick and easy and she has been kind, approachable and enthusiastic throughout. Very easy to talk to settling my nerves straight away. Completely professional. Her enthusiasm is infectious and I could have easily continued shooting with her. The tech enabling us to remote shoot worked flawlessly, she talked me through software that I've not previously used in remotes was easy to pick up.

She needs little or no direction but when ideas flow she is totally receptive and works very hard to get the right pose, her range of poses is endless, subtle changes making a great difference and precise. Her flat provided us with some beautiful natural light and I feel the shots we produced have completely exceeded my expectations, she started the upload to me immediately after the shoot. She has a great range of backdrops and outfits and I am thrilled with what we produced.

Thank you for a fantastic shoot, I highly recommend and cannot wait to shoot again, either remotely or in person.

Well well well what can I possibly say abut this amazing human that hasn't already been said.

As a model I have always admired Holly's work, she has the rare natural renaissance beauty about her and she is simply effortless in front of the camera.

Absolutely beautiful and totally natural she was a complete pleasure to shoot.

This was my 4th remote shoot and I was nervous before hand as Ivory has such a amazing reputation but she put me totally at ease, she is a absolute sweetheart, so helpful kind and knowledgeable it really helped a new photographer like myself working with her.

Ivory is stunning, it isn't often you see images of someone then in real life they aren't quite the same but she most definitely is, like a ethereal goddess!

Huge thanks to Ivory or not only taking on board my ideas but suggesting her own and building a full set around it, I am over the moon today, Thank you dolly you have made my day and here is to many more shoots together xxxxx

This was my first shoot with Ivory Flame and my first remote shoot. I have to say that I was a bit sceptical about remote shooting but as Ivory Flame has been on my “want to work with” list for some time I thought that this was a good time (in lock down) to experience the remote shoot first hand. Holly (Ivory Flame) has everything set up and all I needed was to download a piece of software that allowed me to control her camera. The pre-shoot comm's were excellent and at the appointed time Holly called me on WhatsApp and I started the software ready to accept a login and password from Holly to allow me to control all the camera settings and take the pictures. Holly gave me a guided tour of the controls and then we were ready to shoot. After taking a a short time to get the hang of the controls we were making some great pictures. Holly has a great range of props, costumes and backdrops which I had previously chosen a selection for the shoot. I was interested in experimental and movement and Holly was brilliant at coming up with the perfect poses with just the right movement. She is a highly talented and experienced model with classical looks and hair perfect for the classical, pre-Raphaelite images I was aiming for. I have to say the the whole experience was far better than I could have imagined resulting in pictures that I have only been dreaming of. Holly's input was perfect and critical for the success of the shoot. I cannot praise her enough and highly recommend working with Holly to all photographers. I am certainly looking to do a second shoot with Holly and continue with exploring more experimental approaches and I am now an advocate of remote shoots because of my experience with Holly.

I have been wanting to arrange a photo shoot with Ivory Flame for a long time but the lockdown and Covid restrictions prevented this from happening last year. Then the opportunity arose to arrange a remote shoot with Ivory and what a thrilling and rewarding experience it was! Ivory is not only beautiful inside and out but is also one of the most creative and talented models I have ever worked with. From our initial communications and sharing of creative ideas to the day of the shoot everything was perfect. Ivory is full of energy and enthusiasm for her work and she easily put me at ease so that we chatted along in a friendly and intuitive way so much so that our 3 hour time slot simply flew by!

On the day of the shoot we were fortunate to have some fabulous window light in her studio which was perfect for soft portraits, awesome art nudes and simply gorgeous boudoir style images using some of her vast collection of organza materials and vintage style basques and skirts. The backgrounds chosen were perfect for portraying her in wonderful light and colours.

Ivory's presentation is infectious and I am so happy with the results which are being edited as I write the reference.

I recommend Ivory with the highest accolades. Ivory is sensational to work with and I cannot wait to arrange another shoot with her soon whether that has to be remote and hopefully in person once the restrictions are lifted.

Each shoot with Ivory Flame only gets better and better!

I think this was my third remote shoot with her - and won’t be the last, we’re already toying with new ideas!

The whole process is easy as pie, in fact we were joking that unlike the studio, now it’s the model who is moving the lighting around and making any adjustments to the setup (except camera settings!). And still the results are so varied and remarkable!

How does one not recommend the best?

I previously had a "normal" shoot with Holly which was a bit mind blowing and I was so impressed in the way she was prepared to throw caution to the winds to get an interesting image.

So when I got my mind in order and started doing Remote Shoots and I saw she was doing this type of shoot, I, with some hesitation, asked if she would do another shoot with me.

She said yes and I sort of sent some extremely vague ideas and this morning we launched into two hours, of what turned our to be a fun, creative, and at times crazy photography.

Holly is so brave and doesn't mind if an idea fails....but it/they didn't.

We did some really interesting stuff. I am just waiting to download the images and I know there is so much to play with.

Holly is a completely organised, professional - in the very best sense of the word- model, business woman and creative person.

I cannot recommend her enough to other photographers and if you haven't shot with her, then you should.

I now have to get round to thinking of things to do with the shiny green skirt that she showed me......

It will have to be another shoot to look forward to.

Last month I had my second remote shoot with Ivory Flame when I participated in the Majestic remote shoot event organised by herself alongside ModelZoi and Mischkah. As with our previous shoot, I found working with her to a fantastic experience with her being very friendly and easy going, which made for a very enjoyable shoot where we able to converse easily. We had discussed what I wanted to shoot beforehand and she had everything set up and ready to go right from the start. Her professionalism showed throughout with her outfits being stunning and posing and expression being excellent and her photographic expertise was also on show with her skill in lighting and composition contributing to some amazing shots. Communication was excellent before, during and after the shoot with her helping me to perfect the images with some excellent advice on Photoshop techniques. I thoroughly enjoyed shooting with Ivory Flame again and I look forward to shooting with her again at the upcoming Celestial remote shoot event. Very highly recommended!

I had a fantastic remote shoot with Ivory Flame as part of an event organised across 3 models and 3 countries - The Majestic Event. We managed to create some great images in a one hour slot and Ivory Flame had put a lot of time and effort into ensuring the sets we had discussed were all set up and ready to go. I have worked with Ivory Flame a couple of times using remote technology. She was a dream to work with from start to finish. She made contact before the shoot to make sure that we were able to develop a concept for the shoot that was not only fun and enjoyable but also produced some amazing shots. I would absolutely and without hesitation recommend shooting with Holly.

Everything was so well organised and it was an absolute pleasure.

I gave quite an open brief in my precomms of what I had in mind. This wasn't an issue and what was prepared easily achieved and exceeded what I wanted.

It was so great collaborating and working on the images together. The time just flew by and we kept getting absolutely excellent images each and every time.

We will absolutely be shooting together again.

Holly is without doubt one of the most talented, professional, friendly, and patient models I have worked with so far. we shot remotely with Holly and I working out a rough shoot plan ahead of time, allowing us to quickly set up holly going through how to use the remote software giving me complete control of the camera.

Ounce set up Holly posed easily with little direction from me, giving wonderful results her poses are sublime coupled with a great knowledge of light and photography it would be hard to find a bad image that we created.

Quite simply you not find a better model.

Well I liked our last remote shoot so much I thought we should do another - and boy I was right!

We went through quite a variety of modern inspiration images (and I guess it’s not surprising that we kept finding ourselves going back to vintage looks!). As usual Ivory is the superlatives superlative model, and an absolute blast to chat with whilst shooting (and getting the odd off-pose image 😉).

I’m obviously looking forward to the current craziness being over and shooting in person again, but if you’ve not shot remotely then it’s the *very best* of next best things!

Evers since I took up photography I have wanted to work with Ivory Flame and recently, thanks to remote shooting I got the chance.

I got in contact with somewhat abstract idea for a shoot using a perspex screen and some vaseline. The idea was based on an image I seen by Lindsay Adler and luckily Holly like the idea.

She put a lot of work into the preparations for the shoot and it went better than I could ever have imagined. Holly's experience and skill as a top model meant that the idea evolved during the shoot and I finished it with a smile n my face, a feeling of great satisfaction and so many outstanding images.

As well as working on, and improving, my original idea, we spent some time on some Art Nude poses, which as anyone who is aware of her work will know, is a genre at which this incredible model is superb.

I most definitely would recommend this Ivory Flame as someone with whom you should work - she's an incredible model and an extremely lovely person as well.

I shot a remote shoot with Holly this morning and wow it went well!

It was my first real remote shoot, and on installing the required software and sorting through settings it was actually quite a lot of fun to try something so utterly different. Holly is an amazing model (as her many 100s of other references maintain) and has adapted to this way of capturing images brilliantly - if she’s on your want to shoot with list but has been too far or if you’ve been unable to reconcile calendars I’d really heartily recommend this method.

What on earth can I say about Holly that hasn't been said before? Although we seem to have known each other for ages, for some reason this was only our third or fourth shoot together (can't remember!) but it was well worth waiting for.

Several months in the planning, I wanted to do something different from how Holly is usually depicted and we threw several ideas around until I came up with one that we agreed would work. Everything came together nicely on the day, combined with Fareham Studio's move into their new ground floor location. Holly had fully bought into what I wanted and put a lot of care into suitable makeup. We had a very productive shoot and both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The only problem now is making a final selection from the 270 frames we shot!

Thank you Holly, and I really mustn't leave it so long next time.
