References for Rapture Photography

I had my first shoot with Huw at his home yesterday and it was an absolute pleasure to meet and work with him.

Upon arriving we started chatting straight away almost as if we had known each other for some time, and I don’t think we ever stopped!

We managed to shoot several different sets and made sure I was happy with the images every so often. He also ensured that I was not hungry and provided snacks and tea throughout the shoot.

I thoroughly enjoyed my shoot with Huw and I can ensure you we will be shooting again 🙂

2W Location

Huw back in the house on Saturday. Fully prepared and with a plan, in fact, two plans so plan B it was as the weather wasn't having any of plan A!

Huw is a real gentleman and wonderful to spend time with, the conversation just flows and the great pictures keep coming.

Recommended to any model or studio alike, without reservation*

Huw is fantastic!

We've been chatting for a while but with one thing and another hadn't managed to get together for a shoot, but I'm damn glad we did manage to arrange one!

After a cuppa and a chat we set to shooting, we had a very loose 'go with the flow' plan and created as we went along and produced, in my opinion, some awesome shots. We have pretty similar styles and a shared interest in experimenting to see what we can create which was great. He was happy to try out any of my ideas along with putting forward his own.

He's so easy to get along with, knows his stuff and is all round just a lovely person. Plus, he brought along biscuits.... winner.

I had a lovely first shoot with Huw the other day at the Boardroom Studio. Such a kind and gentle man, ever so laid back and a joy to shoot with! There was lots of tea and lots of chat and some photos hehe! Unfortunately I came down rather unwell during our shoot and we had to cut it short, but I am looking forward to us shooting together again and producing some awesome images.

Huw ..

what can I say about Huw ! The shoot was arranged with minimal ease . Few messages of what style we were going for and basically he said do / bring whatever you want ! I turned up looking like I’d left home 😂.. quick cup of tea and chat and we were off !

Huw is charming , chatty ,interesting and we soon discovered our mutual love of music . He played my favourite tunes whilst we worked and I’d occasionally sing along .. in my element !

Huw gives great direction , knows exactly what he’s after from a model and time wizzed by ..

cups of tea , Maltese’s and offer of food is always a winner with me .

Huw makes you feel like a million dollars and I left thinking ‘when can we collaborate again ?’

If you get chance to work with him , please do !

It was absolute pleasure working with Huw for our second shoot! I defiantly would recommend to anyone who would love to achieve some beautiful images whilst in a relaxed environment!

We are already discussing our third shoot and we're trying to contain the excitement as we try out some new affects and play with the camera settings to achieve some, if not loads of really cool affects, so as you can tell Huw is incredibly creative and passionate about photography which means you have a lot of fun!

Huw is an incredible photographer and a lovely person he's really easy to get along with and I feel really comfortable and confident when I shoot with him!

Huw has so many beautiful and interesting things around his home, and there is nearly an interesting story for all them!

I look forward to all of our future shoots I know I'll enjoy every single one! Thank you so much Huw for a wonderful shoot I'm really impressed with my photos!

Okay so where to start!

Huw and I have been following each others social medias for a while and I've always loved his work, and now we finally had the chance to work together, we decided to work on one of themed castings "Boudoir Baker"

All I can say is WOW! What a magnificent photographer he is, a true perfectionist which shines through in his images.

Not only is Huw a brilliant photographer he is also a delight to be around, we could spend hours talking !

We had a great time making a abolutely chaotic mess flour, eggs, chocolate sauce and sprinkles everywhere! But my gosh was it fun!

I felt completely at ease working with him, and totally comfortable knowing that the images where going to come out tasteful. (excuse the pun)

I can't wait to work with Huw again, and again and again! (I HOPE)

I can truly say I highly recommend him!

What an amazing first shoot! 🥰 Just amazing communication from the very beginning, filled with amazing ideas! When we met we instantly got on and so was able to create some amazing images we were both happy with (a lot of of images!) and with friendly chatter all the way through, even had flowers I could take home and Jaffa cakes it’s a no brainier! Can’t wait to shoot again! The ideas are already flowing, Couldn’t recommend enough! Xx

Huw is a incredibly smart and dedicated man, with a truly stupendous creative outlook; which I'm sure you can tell just by looking at his stunning portfolio!

His dedication to learn more and more, eye for detail and sprinkle of perfectionist makes each and every shot incredible!

It was my first shoot with Huw and I'm extremely looking forward to our next, he was hospitable and welcoming I felt comfortable and confident the whole time! I have been SO lucky to have had another chance to shoot Huw at the stunning Two Wei venue. ..and once again, he was just an absolute pleasure to work with! I am just so very grateful we had more time to work together this time round, and yet, I don't believe we explored half as much as what we potentially could've done (..enter shoot booking no.3!).

So a word of advice.. If you have an opportunity to work with Huw, jump at it and grab it with both hands (as if his incredible portfolio isn't reason enough!). Huw is first class. He is everything you could ever want in a photographer; he is geniune, dynamic, patient, full of ideas (and open to exploring yours, which is a must for me) and is possibly the most inspiringly passionate and dedicated photographer I have yet to work with (ask him about his shoot diary if you don't believe me!). He is also impeccibly organised and has made preperations for shoots weeks in advance. To top it off, Huw is fun, excitable, intelligent and has a fantastic sense of humour.. I think we could litterally spend all of our time together talking, but that wouldn't be productive, and we like productive :-D. He is also modest about his own incredible skills and is always seeking to advance his style diversity and image quality - and with hugely great success, I must add!

Back to the shoot... Huw and I had great fun trying out a few themes (with smoking results!!) and the time literally flew by. The images we captured are a combination of gorgeous, fun and simply impeccable shots that I am very proud of. I am geniunely really excited about our next shoot together.

I know you shouldn't have favourite photographers, but....

I could work with Huw endlessly and really hope we have many more opportunities for shoot adventures in future. Takk Huw x

Well we've just had the pleasure of hosting Huw for two shoots in quick succession. A man of few words he is not and anyone reading his references will soon realise that he's a guy that immerses himself fully in creativity, whether it's putting pen to paper or the right pixels on an OLED - "if it's worth doing then we're definitely going to do it well" comes over as his mantra.

Care and consideration for his models was so clearly of paramount importance to Huw, closely followed by his striving to create imagery that they would be thrilled with. The former clearly assisted with the latter and from what we've seen so far we're certain that his formula works.

Great to add our bit to the equation - looking forward to seeing you back here soon!

What can I say about the lovely Huw?

First off I shall say if you get the chance to work with him, jump at it.

Huw is an absolute pleasure to work with in every sense. He is good humoured, considerate, completely professional and a genuinely lovely guy that makes working together feel like a breeze.

We’d been in touch for a few months prior to our shoot, discussing ideas, themes and coming up with a master plan for a day’s shooting at Two Wei Location House. Throughout this time Huw was always interested to hear my thoughts and valued my ideas and input which is always appreciated. By the time our shoot came around it felt like meeting up with an old friend and that’s exactly how the day went!

Huw kindly picked me from me house on the day of our shoot, en route we stopped at Waitrose to pick up provisions for the day (and probably the rest of the week! Thank you hugely!) and off we went. The day was wonderful and by far one of my most enjoyable shoots, in fact, it was my most enjoyable shoot for sure. Huws an awesome photographer and extremely talented! It’s very, very exciting how good he is already after only a short time exploring fashion/portrait/model photography… all I can say is watch this space!

Huw, I’m delighted, excited and so very pleased that you would like to work together again. I can’t wait!

Huw is an amazing photographer as you can see. Whilst working with him for the first time, he was welcoming and very bubbly to talk to. We clicked like a house on fire and we got some amazing shots in the studio. He knew what he wanted from the shoot and was very professional. He made me feel at home and the amazing thing is that we are talking about ideas for our next shoot. One of the best company person I have gladly worked with and he doesn’t disappoint. well, trying to top the reference Huw just gave me is going to be difficult ..

I shot with Huw at the boardroom studio after a couple weeks of us saying 'we NEEEED to do something!!' and boy did we. Ive wanted to shoot at the boardroom since moving home ... mostly because of major photo envy in the beautiful windows. Pre-comms with Huw were great, as a bit of an introduction shoot i thought hey, lets bring everything i own and see what we can do.. and do we did!

The shoot itself was incredible, and i believe from the shots you can tell it was a genuine collaborative effort. from saxaphone lessons to criticising the 80's whilst enjoys its music we had no end of things to talk about, and the comfort and pure joy i felt during the shoot shines through .. i mentioned to both Huw and Phil (boardroom owner) that i struggled letting myself lose and pulling crazy facial expressions for fear of it going wrong .. but low and behold Huw pulled that fear away, we laughed at the truly awful, grinned at the good, and stared in silence at the amazing!

Huw also read my port notes !!! in another context the amount he knew wouldve been weird .. but him knowing my love for music was the cherry on top of the shoot! though im extremely jealous he has seen the likes of Prince, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bon Jovi live, im sure next time ill have him tell me all about it so i may live vicariously through him!

Anyway, so this definitely sounds like a review written on one of those weird 'make friends' websites ... but i would absolutely consider Huw a friend now (i even saved his phone number ... i havent saved my brothers phone number!) and im so so excited to see what we do next time, and the next time, and the, well you get the idea. youll be bored of my face on this port soon!!
