I have been a fan of Rapture Photography for some time now.. & when Huw contacted me to book a shoot whilst I was in the midlands I was blown away! I jumped at the opportunity :) & so glad I did!

As soon as I arrived we just hit it off 🙋🏻‍♀️ I knew it was going to be a great shoot. Bouncing ideas at each other and I even suggested using his window, which he wasn’t too sure about but we gave it a go and the images look 😍 amazing! Haha… trust your model 😝

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Huw and would absolutely love the chance to work with him again sometime!

Where do I start with Huw?

He is the most welcoming person I have ever met, he hosted me at his home when I went to Derby for a Studio Day, and he was so kind, helpful and lovely! A great human being. It's always nice to work with people who give you their heart more than money, and a great experience to take home.

But let's start talking about photography! Huw likes to experiment and is very creative, he had so many ideas and brought a lot of outfits, so we had to hurry up a bit, but the results were great!

It was really fun working with him, I'm sure we'll be working again very soon, thank you from all my heart Huw!

He is Super friendly, extremely professional and an amazing photographer!

He made me feel extremely comfortable and he had some amazing ideas, he was really helpful with some guidance plus the pictures looked awesome!

He was very accommodating for me and my partner who had came with me, we had some good laughs! I can’t wait to work with him again!

Huw and I originally began talking about a shoot over Instagram! He reached out, after showing an interest in the images I already had in my portfolio. We arranged the shoot with ease. He offered to travel to Derby to make things easier for me!

We planned an outdoor shoot, warm clothes due to the extremely cold winter weather!

Rather than going straight into it, we had a cuppa and a chat which I always appreciate. It can be harder for me to go straight into shooting with someone as soon as we meet (as I'm new). But Huw made an effort to make me feel more at ease so that it wasn't a complete stranger.

The images from the shoot definitely reflect all of this! They are great! Plus a different style to anyone I've worked with previous, which helps me to build my portfolio even more. 😊

Had an amazing shoot with Huw. We planned this to happen for a while and finally we shoot at Boardroom studio. Huw is incredibly creative photographer with million ideas he is not afraid to bring to life. He took all my suggestions adding up his vision and we got fantastic result! Huw brought loads of outfits with accessories selected for our themes. So happy with all we created. He is very professional photographer and kind person. Looking forward shooting with him again.

Yaaaaaaaay amazing first shoot with Huw at two Wei. It was such a short notice shot but that diddnt matter. Huw has worked at two wei loads of times and knew where he wanted to go to shoot. He brought these huge home made light sticks and we used them as prop to shoot with. They looked so cool in images and we got some lovely shots. Huw himself is a lovely guy, so helpfull. I forgot my hairbrush and he got me one on the way to our shoot which was such a huge help. We chatted non stop as well, probably more chatting than shooting to be honest haha. He also offered to drive me back to my Air bnb which wasnt close to where he was going it was actually in the total opposite direction. I really appreciated that because it was late and i was so tired. I would 1000% work with Huw again next time im about. And i would certainly recommend him to anyone, thanks a lot for a fab shoot Huw.

Lastminute.com... 😅 Huw just happened to be coming up to my part of the world for work when he popped a message across to see if I was around for a shoot for a little first time/nice to meet you kind of shoot. 😃 As it happened; I was between long trips - and this was literally a matter of: MESSAGE-MESSAGE-IDENTIFY SPARE FEW HOURS IN DIARY-SHOOT!!! It literally happened so quickly and I still to this day think it was miraculous how we just threw everything together and had a killer little evening chatting for England and using a hotel chain location in the most innovative way we could! Fun times. 😁

As I say - it was all arranged at the drop of a hat due to circumstances, but nonetheless; Huw's comms and organisation was bob on the money! He came back to me very quickly after I only just saw his message (as I'd been shooting the day before). Back and forth just a mere handful of times - a plan was in place! I could easily see how much other models raved about their shoots with him, plus his page totally gives away that he's really partial to thinking creatively and shooting in cool/exciting ways to make fab images - it really was a no brainer. The planning of my next mega tour could wait another few extra hours. 😂 Alas: the shoot itself lived up to every expectation! We didn't shoot a colossal amount of images, but what we did shoot was inspired/innovative and different! I love working with people who think outside the box (Huw most definitely does!) and I think it's quite a good test in a way when you have somewhere that's quite a bland (but also recognisable!) as a chain hotel room because it tests those involved to activate thinking caps and bounce ideas around that would really get the best of the location. Yeah, that was taken quite literally when some mad model wound up bouncing on the bed like it was a flippin' trampoline! 🤣 SMASHIN' pics tho, and well caught by the fella with the sharp eye! 👍 What else did we do I hear you ask? Well opportunistic narrative shots (I'll leave that one there 😆), thought provoking prettyful shots, playing with ambient lighty shots - lotsa shapes and emotion. 😊🙌 This photographer is a dab hand in responding to a model posing away and rocking the framing/composition in the blink of an eye to compliment the moment from that side of the camera. He is very visual in that sense, has epic technical skills to work in an area that obviously didn't have a vast amount of light sources (it was also dark outside by this point so no daylight). In these circumstances you gotta "see" the shots and make your inner brains eye tick! And that - Huw did!

Now can we please talk about how much we bloody chin-wagged? Because it was a LOT! 🙈 It's a real ice-breaker when you can have a good natter as you work, it lightens the mood, makes for a relaxed workspace and is just an all-round positive thing for developing a working relation in a professional environment I think. 🙂 Huw is also a genuinely nice person who himself is really sociable, upbeat and chatty - in my opinion all things which add to a shoot experience being good from the point of connecting with the person you're working with. It was the sheer range of stuff we chatted about to be fair. 😄 Putting the world to rights, general industry natter and everything else! It actually felt like the second or third time I had worked with him because of how well we hit it off - and also how comfortable I felt too. It goes without saying that Huw brings utmost professionalism and well-meaning courtesy to shoots, he clearly wants the model to be happy/feel relaxed (which subsequently makes you work better 🤷‍♀️). So off of that - I have no end of good things to say about our shoot and give Huw a very big recommendation indeed. ☺ The shoot ticked all the boxes - gosh he even took me to the nearby shops before we started to ensure of a supply of chocolate and refreshments... He got the "ledge" rating before we'd even stared shooting! 😅

I am so honoured and privileged to have had the opportunity to shoot with Huw at the Boardroom studio (stunning place, see their page for my reference of the studio)

Huw was a dream to communicate with from the offset. Very clear and concise with his visions and what he wanted to achieve during our shoot.

He is such a wonderfully creative person and comes very well prepared with props and clothing which was fantastic. The entire time we had such great chemistry and a great creative balance, the more we shot the more ideas were flowing and every shot just worked. I would certainly say he is in the TOP 5 photographers i have shot with easily.

Once we had wrapped up i took Huw for a nice Sunday lunch where we discussed even more ideas for future projects and i am so excited to see even more of them come to life next time!

I cannot recommend him enough. Anyone would be so lucky to work with him, he will make your day and your portfolio. I wish i could keep him all to myself :D

I am very happy with my shoot with Huw,as it went really great. It was a spontaneous shoot,as I had been in Huw's area, but we organised everything perfectly well,and Huw picked me up where we agreed. Huw is a pleasure to shoot with, I was waiting for a chance to shoot with him and I am very pleased with the results, and my impression on the shoot with Huw is very good. I wouldn't be even happier with our shoot as Huw shoots without rush, he is chatty and treats the model really good. He always came up with some interesting ideas during our shoot. He is polite, respectful, and easy-going photographer. We grabbed a cup of coffee afterwards and Huw made sure I am at the station to get home safely. Huw has a pleasant personality and he was one of the first photographers who contacted me on pp ,greeted with the words of congratulations on my first fpi. So every message from him was a pleasure to read.Time just flew away and unfortunately it was getting dark to shoot for longer period of time, so as I really enjoyed that 2 hours we had.

I am absolutely looking forward to shoot with Huw again, highly recommended to shoot with 100%

Had a great shoot with huw, he brought loads of super cool outfits etc which is great as it added different looks to my usual style. Super lovely guy he went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and happy.hes a great photographer and all the pics looked amazing without editing I loved too many shots from the shoot lol. The poor bugger as been sat at his computer editing all these images I chose (must have chose 100 favourites lol) and he was super speedy getting the finished pics back to me. (As you know it's a models worst nightmare waiting months for images back 🙈) and I love every pic he's done 😍. Couldn't recommend this guy enough he's a legend 🙏 can't wait to shoot again soon 😇

I cannot sing Huw's praises enough.

First of all, let me say that he is a really brilliant photographer who found great locations and was able to work really well with the light conditions as the sun slowly fell through the sky and we entered into golden hour. So many of the photos we took are absolutely stunning.

Huw is just an all-round really lovely guy. He made it his utmost priority that I was happy and comfortable throughout the shoot and even asked for my input on whether I'd like any shots in particular. He was great at letting me do my own thing as well as giving me direction when I needed it. It was such an enjoyable, relaxed shoot and we had some great conversations. I would 100% love to work with him again!

This wasn't my first time working with Huw (as a model) BUT I am so exceptionally glad that he has visited our studio in Sheffield for the first time today!

Huw is very creative, nothing is too much trouble, he likes to give a model plenty of direction during the shoot and always makes sure everyone is happy.

Also, very easy to communicate with, was on time and well equipped for our industrial setting :)

Where to start!

I had such a lovely day with Huw from the moment he picked me up to the moment he dropped me off 12 hours later!

Being a newbie to the modelling world I was quite worried I wasn't ready and I was quite nervous...Huw made sure from the get go that I was comfortable and calm. his mind is full of creativity and ideas both of which help create the perfect shot. there were times where I needed guidance to the shot and Huw was more than willing to help give that direction. Besides the photography side, Huw was a delight to talk too, he can talk for England but he'll tell you stories that will keep your attention and he's got such a great sense of humour! Huw is very easy to get along with providing you come with the right attitude as everyone should.

I absolutely loved working with Huw and honestly can not to wait to work with him again not just for the photoshoot but for all the stories we will share. I couldn't be anymore grateful for the opportunity and guidance from Huw and could recommend him enough!

I've been very lucky to work with Huw twice this Summer.

Our first shoot was a bit tricky because the weather gods gave us some pretty difficult conditions. However we still got some lovely images, and Huw is great company to hike up a cliff face with in the burning sun.

On our second shoot the the weather gods provided a nice big soft box in the sky, which was very good of them. We went on a charming adventure in the Welsh Valleys and found a few sweet little locations. It was all very spontaneous, and very fun, and I love the images we created.

Huw also has some amazing outfits to shoot in which is fantastic to get some different looks for your portfolio.

I highly recommend working with Huw.. and I can't wait for our next adventure :)
