I invited Helen and her husband, Luke Clampitt (also on PP) to my camera club for one of our studio evenings. Helen came recommended by another club member Dave Belsham (again on PP) who has worked with her a number of times (and also along with Luke on one occasion).

The booking was made well in advance and all the pre comms went smoothly.

The plan was to shoot Helen and Luke individually for the first hour and then shoot them together in various athletic poses for the second hour. The whole evening went really well.

Helen is very friendly and relaxed and she posed beautifully for all club members taking part. She was particularly patient with those less experienced at working with models. In the second half she and Luke created some amazing athletic poses enabling us all to capture images so different from the usual studio night ones.

I had the pleasure of shooting with Helen and her partner Luke at Parkwood Camera Club this week. It’s the second time I’ve worked with Luke, and I’ve had several previous shoots with Helen.

As on every previous occasion, they were a joy to photograph, singly, and as a duo when they were performing acrobatic lifts and holds. The duo set was a wonderful combination of grace and strength.

It had been far too long since our last collaboration. I hope we won’t have to wait so long for the next one.

Absolutely brilliant Photoshoot, I’m overjoyed with the images that I’ve got from this shoot and it encompasses the project theme of “counter Venus”. Helen came down to High Wycombe to Studio 88, we shot for 2 hours and talked a lot about art & feminism. She was great at embodying the Venus statue poses and was pleasant to work with.

I had the pleasure of working with Helen at Two Wei Location House. Having worked with Helen earlier this year I was interested to see how she would make use of this unique location given her natural creativity and quest for perfection. I asked Helen to style the shoot and she arrived with a range of outfits suited to her personality. Our method of working was for Helen to choose an outfit and then to select appropriate backdrops within the house in which to shoot. This lady is just so creative and strives to produce a whole range of looks during a shoot. Of particular note was her determination to capture images en-pointe in her recently acquired ballet shoes, her determination and quest for perfection was outstanding. During the shoot we explored using the various mirrors within the house, the bath, a long corridor and the unique attic space. A shoot with Helen is full of creativity, particularly, if you give her the licence to express herself and use the venue in the way she visualises. Thank you for a second outstanding shoot this year and hopefully we can work together again in the future. Very highly recommended.

She's very confident and comfortable in her own skin even when posing nude in front of a bunch of strangers. Managed to catch up with Helen at a Burford Manor group. Very grateful she accepted my invitation to shoot. Excellent pre shoot comms. Bang on time and had brought a number of sheer robes to complement the shoot.

Here is a model at the top of her game not only is her posing outstanding and free flowing she also has the patience of a Saint when the lighting side of things didn't go to plan. Time just flew by. I captured amazing images due to the fact that Helen is so bloody good. Helen is a delight to shoot. She comes with my highest recommendation and I can not wait to arrange another shoot in the future.

Another wonderful shoot with Helen.

This time we were at a Burford Manor group shoot and only had an hour to shoot. We prepared for one look involving a bow. Helen practiced to get the details just right and took direction perfectly.

The second look was with a piano and mirror which was Helen’s look to style and create. She actually made parts of the outfit for the shoot.

Her dedication to making stand out images is exemplary.

Love working with Helen she makes every shoot a joy and her attention to detail is fantastic.

Lady Helen Anderson has a charisma that is so engaging. I met her for the first time at the Buford Manor Event for August 2022. Her welcome triggered my admiration more for her work. I had the great Pleasure of working with Helen yesterday. Pre-shoot communication was very good and Helen was on time.

Working with Helen was a wonderful experience, she is funny, intelligent and very relaxed, Helen also brought a selection of clothes to wear. Helen has a lovely physique and instinctively knows how to pose, and, she doesn't mind being silly. Really, I can't praise Helen enough and have no hesitation in recommending her.

i had booked a shoot with Helen and @salient lupus for a shoot concentrating on their skills as acro mat gymnasts, we choose the striking set of Burford manor within which to experiment. We shot the whole range from fashion lifts to art nude.

the strength/ fitness of the pair of them was inspiring, any idea for a pose was accepted as a challenge . They brought appropriate clothing for the brief, We all worked on getting good images. Helen helped with the artistic side ( and did barmy airborne plank type poses) and Luke, as a photographer helped the technical side,, ( that is of course in addition to lifting Helen into the air multiple times in multiple poses). And above all of that we had a great fun shoot.

If you put aside any thoughts of age being discrimatory then book either or both of these Models, you will enjoy the journey.

In the very best possible ways, Helen's a model from a different era...

In all sorts of ways, she's delightfully old-fashioned: the sort of sensible, getting-on-with-things woman that my mother enjoyed working with. And that is - in my book - high praise.

Delightfully clear and literate communication before the event, and flowing conversation as we shot, and between locations.

Well-prepared, and bringing everything she needed along with her, including drinks (it was a very warm day).

Posing naturally and flowingly, responding to the light and surroundings, Helen provide loads of lovely images.

And in line with all the other photographic desiderata, she accepts the passing of time with grace and even delight: making no concessions to the conventional demands of photography. I think her extensive experience as an artist's model is responsible, alongside her lovely personality and the common-sense I alluded to above.

Would I work with Helen again? Very definitely! A wonderful addition to my 'Models over 40' project. Even if you are bound by the conventions of Page 3, you should consider booking Helen, because she may change your perceptions of beauty.
