Washeye

My studio’s in East Devon about half an hour from Exeter where I draw and paint from life, both professional models and those who wish to try sitting for the first time. I paint mostly in oils in a traditional, realistic and figurative style, usually on quite big canvasses. I’m fascinated by the human form and tend to push away from the usual poses into more stretchy, tortuous and unusual shapes which is far more challenging for both models and myself. Of course, commissions are usually more conformist, particularly portraits and I enjoy these as well.

As an artist, I’m currently trying to push the boundaries so as a model, if you have a hankering to try something new, do get in touch and we’ll see if we can produce some drawings and paintings that are more unusual, edgy and challenging.

All work is paid and based on current RAM rates. Commission prices are dependent on how much is involved – time, size, subject etc. Do get in touch if you’re interested – love to hear from you.
