References for The Hacienda

I very much enjoyed shooting at Hacienda with Helen Diaz as model. It’s a great space and it sets the bar very high for studios! It's exquisitely decorated in every room, along with lots of interesting nooks, crannies, furniture and props available to use. Everything moves and Sean is very accommodating if you need any help arranging things. He provides an excellent hosting service with lots of drinks and a variety of snacks.

The only thing I would say is that if it is a sunny day, wear light clothing! The studio catches so much light that it warms up remarkably well. This isn't a negative of course, just something to be aware of. My choice of a black jumper was not the best, even in mid February!

I really enjoyed my morning at The Hacienda London and hope to shoot there again soon.

The Hacienda is a fabulous location. The owner - Sean - is friendly, welcoming and helpful but keeps very much out of the way unless his help is required. Tremendous natural light in the main rooms but Sean has all the lighting equipment you will need for studio lighting as well. The studio inspires numerous ideas and after six hours we had only just started exploiting the possibilities of the kitchen / lounge area without even starting to explore the other 3 rooms. Highly recommended.I look forward to returning

I love this studio, love, love, love it!

Pre comms were on point as as always, and Sean personally picked me up from the station so I wouldn’t get lost, I was able to stay over the evening before so I could be nice and fresh for the following day. Sean made breakfast and was on hand the whole day for set changes, lighting set ups, and for any photographers that needed a hand throughout the day :)

These model/studio days can be extremely stressful and chaotic but nothing ever gets to Sean, he remained smiley, happy, and helpful, he always works tirelessly :D

This is the most perfect studio no matter what you enjoy shooting, whether it be high fashion, lingerie, fashion nude, or art nude, the natural light just spreads across the rooms even on the greyest of days, but you also have the choice to use lighting, and because the space is so large you never run the risk of tripping over lights or cables :)

Such a terrific day, and I am so super excited to be back again soon for another sell out day!

I attended a workshop run by Jon Downs & Nicole Rayner today at the Hacienda and WOW - what a really inspiring location it is to shoot in.

The Hacienda is a superbly maintained and detailed studio, so much to see and a plethora of areas and items to shot with, in and around.

The massive windows allow oodles of natural light to literally flood in when required or can be covered with blinds/curtains or nets to give a multitude of differing lighting setups.

Sean the owner is a very personable guy and obviously very passionate about the studio and is on hand should you require assistance etc.

A truly super place to work in and I am 100% sure I'll be back, and very soon I hope too.

I got to shoot at The Hacienda as the venue for Jon Downs recent workshop, hosted by Sean. Absolutely loved the look and feel of the location as soon as I walked in, everywhere there was light from the large warehouse windows, great texture from the old walls, furniture and other fittings, and everything felt warm and welcoming, a great creative space to work in, and so many options. As Sean gave me a guided tour around this impressive Chicago loft style apartment and we talked, I learned of his unique way of working his studio home and the donations that go to the chosen charity (currently "Shelter from the Storm" to support the London homeless), I can see why so many just love working here. The venue and hospitality are second to none, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit, and very much look forward to returning soon. Thanks Sean :)

Once again The Hacienda is a creative place to learn from fellow photographers (I've attended three workshops at the Hacienda within the last few months) and have always come away with new ideas to try and learnt more about photography each time. Sean is always the perfect host and I can see why the Hacienda is both a creative space and a place that if you get chance to shoot with one of the resident models that you should jump at the chance to.

well Sean at Hacienda was foolhardy enough to volunteer the use of his studio for Nicole Rayner's and my 'how to see things differently' workshop over a weekend and I'm soooooo glad he did! the event turned out to be an amazing success!!

well.....I'm not sure what else to say, other than how AMAZING the Hacienda is!!!

I am so lucky to be a resident model for this amazing studio! EVERY time I go I find something or somewhere new to shoot! It really is a hub of creativity!

The space is amazing, Sean (owner) is just as amazing - a great host! And I could ask for a better place to work!

The studio is like no other in it's attitude! Offering a welcoming environment to all photographers of all abilities! But not inly that, the studio encourages photographers to be as great as they can be! The results when working here speak for themselves!

I attended a workshop at the Hacienda with Jon Downs and Nicole Rayner. A great workshop and a great space with so many options. Even on a rainy day there was plenty of natural light with so many options of where to shoot and what mood to have. You could shoot there for weeks and never take the same shot twice I'm sure. Sean was always on hand to help out and was a great host.

I thoroughly recommend the Hacienda and hope to shoot there again in the near future.

I attended a recent workshop at the studio, I've often see the studio in photos on here and thought how amazing it looked and the studio is utterly beautiful in the flesh, the look and feel of it was fantastic, there is tons of natural light and so many different places you could shoot i doubt you could run out of ideas there, Sean is a fantastic host he was chatty and friendly and made everyone feel right at home, there was a great selection of refreshments and snacks on offer as well, highly recommended and id love to shoot there again

Ivory Flame

I was genuinely thrilled to work on my first model days recently at The Hacienda! I had been excitedly preparing new styling items and moodboards with the space in mind for quite a while, and it was fabulous to finally explore it in the flesh after hearing such great things. I certainly wasn't dissappointed and can't wait to get back :-)

Both natural and ambient light within this apartment are gorgeously inspiring, not to mention the luscious space, textures, colours, corners, corridors and more... enough to have your mind bursting with ideas for days on end! The possibilities on offer are huge.

I'm so pleased with the excellent work produced there by the photographers that booked me, with such variation to each person's creative eye. I can see how people will love returning again and again.

Sean was a total pleasure to deal with throughout, welcoming me so kindly and making sure I had everything I needed. He was wonderful to all the photographers, quickly to hand if needed but also giving them room to get on with things. The generosity he gives in offering his home as a space for creativity and putting so much into it is just fantastic, and of course being able to contribute to the charity is an honour.

I would really recommend to photographers that you seize any opportunity to work at the Hacienda, whether booking with one of the resident models or onto one of the awesome workshops there. You'll walk away with brilliant work and be so revved up to create more!!

This studio is amazing - so much scope for creativity. I had my first shoot here with the amazing Ivory Flame last Saturday. The owner Sean is such a great person, very helpful and it was such a pleasure meeting Sean and using his great studio. There are so many different rooms/spaces to shoot in one is spoilt for choice and all spaces are suited to create individually different images. I recommend all photographers to use this studio - highly recommended - you'll have a great time and create some stunning images. I don't often come to London but when I do I hope to shoot at this studio again. Thank you so much Sean

I shot at the hacienda with the awesome Ivory Flame, it was my first visit to the studio and have to say I was impressed the space has some delightful natural light and a good variety of spaces to use for differing backdrops

All I can say is... WOW!

Simply the most organised and well ran studio I have had the pleasure of working at.

Sean was kind enough to help me out last minute when the original studio I had booked had to unfortunately close, despite the fact he was not planning on taking any bookings in December due to taking some time off for Christmas. I can never express my gratitude enough and the photographers who had booked me for those 2 days were over the moon to get into the venue to shoot with it usually only being available to resident models.

The studio is SO well organised, has everything a model could possibly need, and little finishing touches right down to bottles of water on ice and juice/biscuits all laid out for photographers/models working there.

Not only that, but as any one can see from the photos on this profile, the place is unreal to shoot at! Like literally to die for, it has so many shooting possibilities, I honestly could not of covered them all in the 2 days I was there and really hope to go back in 2018.

Highly recommended by me! A must try for any photographer if you are lucky enough to book in with a model hosting a day there :)

I had my first shoot at The Hacienda earlier this week with Rachelle Summers.

Rachelle had organised shooting at The Hacienda with Sean, after the closure of the first studio we had booked and what a wonderful studio it is.

Sean is the complete host, showing me around the studio, providing drinks and making me feel very welcome.

There are plenty of opportunities for shooting using the great natural light available in the studio, even at this time of year.

I would love to return to shoot with one of the house models and would recommend The Hacienda without reservation.

Another awesome shoot at The Hacienda this time with model Jessica Taylor. Since this time of year the natural light disappears early, I had to work with a beauty dish only for the second time and with a new camera, but with Sean's help in setting up the light and a couple test shots, we were being creative within a few minutes. Once again Sean and The Hacienda show why it's becoming on the places to shoot at if you get a chance to shoot with one of the resident models. Great location, host and the tea isn't half bad too.

Second shoot at the Hacienda and I am now really proud to say that I am a resident model and part of a wonderful studio . Sean is a delightful host as even and well you just couldn't ask for more always ensuring I had everything I needed . The location is fabulous and it dissent matter how many times you have been there , there are always new places and hidden gems to explore . I am so grateful to be a part of this studio , it does so much for charity and I just love what its all about . Jess x

I attended a "Lighting outside the box" workshop hosted by Toulouki & Simone at the Hacienda, & I hope it's not the last time I shoot there.

I'd never used the studio before, & although I'd seen a few images, I wasn't sure what to expect. Right from the outset, Sean welcomed me into his home/studio, a fantastic location in it's own right, but also well equipped. Great natural light, loads of studio lights, & a variety of different "looks" which can be used.

Not only is Sean welcoming & friendly, he is obviously knowledgeable, & makes a mean coffee!

I hope to return one day to shoot one (or more, if I'm lucky) of the in house models, & I'd recommend the Hacienda unreservedly.

Capture a Nomad

The Hacienda studios is something I've not come across yet, till now as a studio.

As a model/ photographer I can say this enough that you have the best natural light! not only are you able to achieve such a wide variety of looks but the location/studio offers way more than backgrounds, but a sophisticated atmosphere and homely feel.

The host, Sean is just as welcoming and hospitable during your shoot there it makes it into a real experience when it all comes together.

Cant recommend this enough to you London creatives out there.

This is definitely a heaven for photographers! I was lucky enough to get an opportunity to shoot with Ayla Rose on a model day (as this studio can only be used via resident models). There are endless possibilities to capture the background and the model. I was only there for couple of hours, but could spend a day thinking of ideas to shoot from.

Sean (the host of this studio) is such a cool person. He is very accommodating and helped around different things too.

Looking forward to another model day soon and capture some lovely shots.
