Another great day spent at the studio with the lovely Gwendoline.

I booked her to create some content for Pixapro and once that was done we shoot a few more looks.

Gwendoline is an absolute gem to work with and I look forward to each shoot we work together on.

What a joy it was to get to work with Gwendoline after discussing a small group shoot I had planned.

Pre comms are superb and she also interjects her own ideas and shows you pictures of items she will bring on the day.

A very organised young lady, she turned up before time on the day and after a quick change was ready to go.

Gwen poses freely with little or no direction needed, she is the consummate professional of her art and great fun to work with.

Very luckily, I will be shooting with Gwen again next week and truly cant wait to do so again.

If you're looking for a talented model, with great looks who knows exactly what she is doing and adds a little bit of French flair then I highly recommend Gwen.

I was delighted to have the opportunity, to shoot again with Gwendoline at an event at Airside, Crown Plaza, at Speke, Liverpool. The shoot was an event previously postponed, due to wet weather. While improved, the weather wasn't kind to us, yet despite this Gwen was a true professional, delivering quality presentation and performance. I can't overstate how good it is to work with such a great model, prepared to work tirelessly in adverse conditions.

Shot for the first time with Gwen yesterday at an aircraft themed group shoot. Achieved some great images despite bad weather, Gwen carried on through the damp cold drizzle. Look forward to shooting again with Gwen, hopefully the weather will be kinder. Can highly recommend Gwen.

Sadly the weather turned against us at the end of the shoot and she carried on regardless.

Yet another successful shoot with Gwen. It is always a pleasure and after half a dozen or so shoots we do work together very well. This was primarily a single light shoot using first a beauty dish with grid and then a 7" reflector with grid. as usual Gwen took my meandering style and chopping and changing in her stride and was the consumate professional throughout. Great images are always assured. Most of these images will end up in mono and I look forward to sending Gwen a few of the photographs once I have them edited. :) Thanks Gwen.

With Gwen having returned from her US break it was time for the latest shoot in our extended project. This time the location was Southport where Gwen had some other work scheduled in. We had planned an autumnal location shoot but we had to modify our plan as the weather was just too good. It was a lovely sunny day with virtually no cloud cover and finding open shade was nigh on impossible which made for very harsh shooting conditions. To make matters worse I had removed speedlights from my kit bag as I wanted to travel light and I was taking a single light led system with me in case we decided to go with boudoir instead. That was a mistake.

Gwen as alaways was the consummate professional and was very patient as we tried to find locations that would work. I hadn’t checked out that possible locations we had discussed were “closed for essential maintenance” which didn’t help. We did get some images which are suitable to make the grade for our project plan but overall it was a reminder to me to make sure I have enough equipment in the car to cater for those unforeseen days where the weather is just too glorious!

This was the second time I shot with Gwen.

She was incredibly polite and patient, and brought a wonderful variety of outfits with her. She also has incredible poise and grace, which really helps to enhance her poses. Gwen also made some excellent suggestions regarding props. I really enjoyed shooting with Gwen, and would love to work with her again.

It’s always a pleasure working with the lovely Gwendoline Ginoux at the Monkey Sanctuary studio in Warrington, and this time was exactly that. Gwen had agreed to help me try out some idea’s id been looking to explore further. Gwen arrived as early giving us time to catch up and discuss ideas over a brew before getting started. Gwen came very well prepared with a super selection of outfits including this month’s surprise suggestion :)

Gwen is genuinely such a lovely chilled and easy going person, so a pleasure to work with. Throughout the shoot Gwen is always full of positive ‘can do’ energy putting 110% effort into every idea and every shot. Gwen poses effortlessly with whatever concept you ask her to try ensuring she brings any look or idea to life with an amazing Wow factor.

I always say it but really, If you are lucky enough to work with this fantastic young lady, then you’re in for an amazing shoot. Totally recommended to all photographers, studios and event’s organisers.

Shoot 8 followed hot on the heels of Shoot 7 and this time we were shooting outdoors in Castlefields. We mainly had good weather and got some great shots and when it did rain we managed to get a couple of reasonable “brolly” shots. As ever comms with Gwen were great and the time passed very quickly. We both have holidays in the offing so the next shoot in our project is at the end of October. Definately still a recommend from me.

Shoots 6 and 7 were on consecutive days this weekend and both were studio based. The first was a “one light, lighting workshop” where Gwen just happened to be the booked model. As Richard Bradbury didn’t know what experience each of the 4 togs had in terms of working with a model in a studio, we were all asked to treat the afternoon as being our first model shoot. I found that a bit surreal given the number of model shoots I’ve gone and this was further exacerbated by the fact that Gwen and I have shot a few times before. I do however understand why it was done that way. I shan’t say a lot about the workshop other than it was enjoyable and informative and that Gwen is a great model for this sort of event.

For Day 2 we moved to Libre Studio in Liverpool run by John Ayling. This was another shoot/look/vibe our extended project and we had agreed a few days ago it was to be a black and white shoot (obviously I have the raws do could create colour but I don’t think I will). I came with lighting diagrams for the looks we were trying to achieve and John very kindly helped with the lighting using the modifier he had that was closest to my diagram. Gwen was great and perhaps my favour images were those taken as an indirect result of an idea that she pitched. Got some cracking images that will certainly make the “Final Cut” and I’m already looking forward to our next shoot in 6 days time,

My first shoot with Gwendoline and hopefully not my last, especially as she may be acquiring a medieval dress soon (very much my sort of thing).

She and I wandered around Sheffield for four hours shooting various looks. Gwendoline has some lovely clothes and enjoys a nice walk. She is very pleasant to work with. It all felt like a real collaboration with both of us contributing ideas and welcoming each others' ideas.

I must add that her pre shoot messaging was excellent too.

100% recommended.

Now my thoughts turn to where would be a good location to shoot with a medieval dress.

I had my 7th Shoot with the absolutely delightful Actress / Model Gwendoline Ginoux on Sunday afternoon 8th September at Basford Hurst Cottage, and what a cracking shoot it was!

Basford has many different opportunities for different Style shots and using story boards I created, Gwen was able to bring along a variety of outfits to match each area. Her range of expressions and poses is second to none. And you feel she is giving her absolute maximum to provide the shots you want!

She always communicates about the shoot. Turns up spot on time and remains committed, from the first minute to the last. Every Portrait Photographer in the North West, if not further afield, should be beating a path to her Purple Port entry.

Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Gwen came back to Basford Hurst Cottage this week to shoot with Geoff and Duncan for the afternoon.

It's always a pleasure to welcome Gwen to Basford. She has the most delightful personality and is a complete professional. She is easy to talk to and worked hard throughout the whole shoot to help Geoff and Duncan capture many wonderful images.

We would of course highly reccomend Gwen and very much look forward to seeing her again soon! Thank you Gwen!!
