I had the pleasure of inviting the lovely Gwendoline Ginoux back to work with me again at the Monkey Sanctuary in Warrington after she replied to my recent casting call. Pre shoot comms were perfect (professional, very organised, prompt, and informative). Gwen arrived as planned giving us time to catch up and discuss ideas over a cool refreshing iced late before getting started. Gwen came very well prepared with a super selection of outfits and accessories that fitted her style and my suggestions perfectly including the cos play outfit idea we had discussed on our first initial shoot which Gwen had remembered about.

Gwen is such a lovely chilled and easy going person, so a pleasure to work with. Throughout the shoot Gwen was full of positive ‘can do’ energy putting 110% effort into every shot. Gwen poses effortlessly with whatever concept, you ask her to try ensuring she brings any look or idea to life with an amazing Wow factor.

If you are lucky enough to work with this fantastic young lady, then you’re in for an amazing shoot. Totally recommended.

Thanks for your hard work and patience. It was such a great, fun and creative afternoon and Im looking forward to working with you again very soon as we develop the cosplay idea :)

The Monkey Sanctuary

We were lucky enough to have the lovely Gwendoline Ginoux visit with us at The Monkey Sanctuary in Warrington to do an extensive 1-2-1 session with Cheeky Monkey. Pre visit communication were perfect. On the day Gwen turned up as planned with an outstanding selection of outfits that fitted the intended theme and her posing style perfectly.

Gwen is genuinely a lovely person with so much talent, creativeness, knowledge, and passion about her craft. She is always very respectful of studio property making sure she puts things back after use and clears up afterwards.

Overall A very talented, professional, and dedicated model who is very reliable, so very highly recommended to both photographers and studios.

Thanks for all your hard work and patience and we look forward to seeing you back with us again very soon :)

Camelot Photography

Shoot 5 in our project came fairly fast on the heels of shoot 4 and actually got brought forward when we realised that the warm sunny weather was going to break before our planned shoot 48 hours later. We decided that we wanted a beach shoot at or around sunset and we headed to Formby Beach. Although the forecast suggested that there was too much low cloud to give a great sunset backdrop we hoped that there might noentheless be some nice, soft light to use. Outfits were chosen by Gwen as close to shooting time as possible and I am always happy to leave “that side” of the shoot with her as she has impeccible taste and always seems to interpret my broad idea very well. Comms were good as ever, especially in the 24 hours preceding the shoot.

We stopped for coffee and a cake in Formby Village first and had we been an hour earlier, we might have done some environmental images there (filed away for future reference).

I had checked car parking knowing that the dunes are National Trust property and discovered that one car shuts early so we knew to go to the right one. It’s £8.50 to park from ‘dawn to dusk’ which really seems to be a way of saying “It’s £8.50 whenever you come please” which is fine except that there is almost no signal to be able to use the parking app - make sure you have £8.50 in coins.

The shoot itself largely went very well and where it didn’t was down to my inability to get equipment working as it should (flash hot shoe to be throughly tested this weekend).

Gwen really needs no direction but will happily interpret my suggestions about what is and isn’t looking good to me eye. She had come with a bag full of possible costume changes and we shot 3 styles over the time we were there. It was really my first attempt at mixing ambient sunset light with flash and I’m quite pleased with what I’ve seen on boc so far.

Of course I recommend Gwen to photographers of all levels or abilities. Her professionalism and warm, engaging personality would be an asset on any shoot.

Looking forward to our next shoot when she returns from France in September.

Camelot Photography

For Shoot 4 in our 12 month project we moved into a studio for the first time. Gwen recommended Studio Libre in LIverpool and what a great recommendation it turned out to be.

We have regular discussions about themes for project and we had agreed some while ago what the main theme would be on this shoot. In the end we shot 5 “looks” over the 4 hour session and we certainly got some “keepers”.

We move on to shoot 5 next month and it goes without saying that Gwen gets a recommendation from me.

My 6th shoot with the epitome of a professional model Gwen, showed an unflappable talent, when a seaside location shoot for late afternoon was delayed by 3 hours when a Caravan had an argument with an articulated lorry. She even helped with our improvised diversion once digested of traffic .

Gwen remained determine to do the shoot and displayed her pose talent to perfection as it approached sunset, After Sand dunes , dead Trees and prostrate in rocks she soaked in a pool as a water baby, amongst other great pose positions and backgrounds

Add her enticing smile and so pleasant a manner and know why I return to shoot with her time and again.

Of course recommend her to all photographers.

This was shoot 3 of our extended project and one which (weather permitting) was always intended to be shot against various Liverpool backgrounds. Thankfully the weather was kind to us and we were able to capture some great images in 6 different locations including St Georges Hall, Lime Street Station and Mersey Ferries. Preshoot comms were very good and working with Gwen on the day itself wasn't work, it was fun. Happy to recommend and looking forward to our first studio based shoot in a few weeks.

My first shoot with Gwendoline, and very enjoyable it was too. Everything from her pre-shoot communications, through to the day itself showed that she is an experienced model who takes her profession seriously.

Luckily, she also has a friendly and relaxed personality, so the time passed quickly and I got the results I was looking for from the shoot.

I had my 5th Shoot with Gwen on Sunday, A walk about on the Liverpool waterfront. She wore borrowed 1960’s costume and as always, looked adorable. What I love with Gwen, which draws me back is her fantastic ability to do change moods and adopt such different facial expressions. She is always so accommodating and happy with whatever crazy poses I propose. Every time, I come away with lots of fantastic images which are a pleasure to process, confident the images will impress whoever I show them to. She is everything I could ask for in a model and I now looking forward to our next shoot in June

It was great to catch up with Gwen again at Studio 4 at the weekend. A great shoot is always assured. She arrived on the early side of early :) but that gave us time to catch up and for me to explain what I had in mind for the shoot.She brought outfits as discussed in pre-comms and some! A really enjoyable shoot with a very patient and accommodating model. Gwen is always super easy to work with and she will happily discuss and contribute to an idea.

We reviewed images as we went and the output is looking pretty good. Looking forward to editing. Thanks Gwen, 100% recommended by me.

Gwendoline modelled for a workshop we held last week and she was superb. Able to work easily with experienced photographers and beginners alike. She worked hard and looked immaculate throughout. She was very friendly and easy to get along with. Looking forward to working with her again soon!

I shot for the 2nd time today with Gwendoline as part of an extended project we are working on throughout 2024.

Preshoot comms had been good and we knew what we had in mind (weather permitting). The weather did permit but unfortunately our location did not deliver what we had hoped it would, so a change of plan was quickly made. We jumped in the car and made our way to New Brighton instead to get some environmental portraits "at the seaside"

The time flew and we had a blast and got some great images despite the light being too harsh at times. We discussed upcoming shoots and threw ideas in for later in the year. Gwen is lovely to work with, chatty but utterly professional and able to contribute lots of ideas. We have shoots booked in till the end of the year so it is a certain recommendation from me. I'm lucky to have found such a lovely talented person who wants to work with me.

We had the pleasure of working with Gwendoline at the Victoria baths in Manchester for our group shoot. Gwendoline is a fantastic model, she is very professional, friendly and her pre shoot comms were excellent. She worked really hard despite the cold and came prepared with lots of amazing outfits.

Gwen is one of those models who stand out because she has such a professional approach and attitude and is really good at setting people at ease making our photographers comfortable. She is amazing at posing and was such an asset on our shoot.

I met Gwendoline on a group shoot at Victoria Baths, Manchester. It was very cold but Gwendoline remained bubbly throughout the whole day. She came to the shoot with a good variety of wonderful outfits and posed beautifully. She is very friendly, professional and cheerful. Gwen is amazingly good fun to shoot with. She is lively and never seems to get bored or tired. She is easy to direct, is willing to try things and has a lot of great ideas and poses. She is highly professional and even in a group shoot context, didn't lose her wonderful sense of humour for a second. I'm delighted with the images I got on the day and I hope to work with her again. Highly recommended.

Much to my surprise (and delight) Gwen answered a recent casting call I put looking for someone to work with over a number of months. I knew immediately that I had found the ideal person for the project I had in mind and our first pre-shoot conversation confirmed that. We met as arranged having already exchanged ideas and we had abroad outline for the shoot.

Gwen is an absolute pleasure to work with and her experience was apparent from the outset. We worked through a number of looks and every one was productive. Gwen is friendly, easy going, attentive and she was willing to try the ideas I had. The shoot flew by, interspersed with good conversation and a a regular supply of caffeine (thanks for that).

We have shoots in the diary for the rest of the year and I would recommend Gwen to any photographer. Looking forward to our next shoot at the end of the month.
