I have always had an interest in photography. This started when I was younger, and developed a lot more when I went on to study art. My main influence comes from Henri Cartier Bresson's concept of the decisive moment. This has allowed me to focus on small details in photos, and make seemingly mundane images into small stories about the world around us.

A particular area that has interested me in recent years is stage illusion design. I feel that this is an area that has never really been fully explored or appreciated. For example, Robert Harbin's zig zag illusion, a trick which divides the assistant into 3 pieces, has had several different designs since its creation. As an artist, I like how illusions provide the opportunity to create a "living canvas" for the photographer and model to work with. Also, the designs of illusions allow different stories to be told.

My current goals are to explore illusion design as an art form, and build up to creating my own illusions, using the techniques that I develop along the way.
