What an amazing model Domi is.

We agreed on an urban graffiti style shoot at Stokes Croft. Domi arrived on time, was very friendly and professional, organised and a joy to shoot with. The time simply flew by as we chatted whilst creating some great powerful raw urban images.

Another wonderful shoot with Dominika!

In planning for some time. Postponements due to the weather and other factors.

My preferred location switched to the alternative on request at the last minute. As ever though a pleasure to correspond with, no problem.

A location I had photographed at partially but not everywhere. So no real plan in mind.

Serendipity, as in fact Dominika knew this location very well.

So having arrived on time despite the steepness of getting there. Off we go.

For 2 hours from 10:30am 12:30pm.

Just picking up where we left off. Chatting away. Lovely shots among the flowers out in bloom and the grass, using the fencing and the wall, moving up the hill.

Superb posing and her customary immaculate turnout with her signature gold eyeshadow and red lipstick. Inspired colour choices.

As customary, excellent results. The longer it went on, the better it got. So easy to work with, no fuss, soothing presence, everything just flows. Shoot a sequence and show back of camera, then on to the next location.

Certainly I think the dress, jackets and those cute boots worked perfectly.

Amusingly, always saying about how she needs to smile more but as I always say, she is always beaming!

It always shows in our photographs!

Cabot Tower and the miniature lake with the waterfall and bridge I am familiar with as the sweeping views from this part but the rest of Brandon Park, before today, I am not.

The former I find a quite magical location but it is amazing what you find in the centre of Bristol at Brandon Hill Park.

Like all shoots but particularly with Dominika I certainly cannot say it is all my own work. Completely a shoot of equals with her input too with mine. Where to shoot, how to, what poses etc.

I even shot some Wildlife photography too and a short film of her as well.

Utter delight to hear her voice get higher and higher with happiness at the sight of wildlife. The film proves she has a lovely poise and graceful elegance in her movement.

Making it seem effortless as she flows into poses. No complaints, no sense of superiority. I certainly don’t get the sense this is a trial of strength, not ever. Which is always good.

For 2 hours, time stood still. Whatever time spent photographing Dominika, it is never enough.

She is also a very fine photographer too. Her photographic knowledge helping

her modelling and vice versa.

Dare I say it but I think I have ended up with some of the finest photographs I have ever taken! I wasn’t sure I could match the shoot at the City Docks but I need doubt no more.

I completely recommend Dominika to any Photographer. Book her to get results. That way you won’t miss out of one of the best models there is. She will put you at ease and you will get results you never thought possible and best of all you will have a most wonderful time of life doing so.

Muse is a difficult one to define but however you define it, she is certainly a Muse to me.

Totally recommended.

That goes for any Model wishing to work with a wonderful Photographer too!

All that remains now is for me to plan shoot number 4 with this beautiful, beaming ray of sunshine!

Did a two hour 'Dom at The Den' photo session, with the lovely Dominika W.

Covered fashion, portrait, casual, and some head turning, hair flowing action?

Also some dress casual of her in motion.

This is the third two hour photo session that I have done with Dom at The Den.

It just gets better and better each time, good communication and respect.

Did not need to do much 'post' on images taken, knew that looking at Live View.

Did a few reverse image: looking left, looking right.

We’ll, what an interesting Sunday morning spent with Domi. I arrived with vague ideas, as usual, but ended up going off on a tangent, (pretty normal for me,) What a delight to work with Domi, both of us a little apprehensive to start, but ended up with some really nice images. Domi is passionate about her photography, both as a photographer and model, just by listening to her speak, you can hear she has a fire within her.

When she begins to open up, a strong, driven, confident woman emerges and, if you are able to make her smile, you will be rewarded with a bright, shining light to last you the rest of the day.

You will love every minute of your time spent with this lovely lady. Thanks Domi for a great morning.

Ghost Light Photography

What an absolute treat to spend some time in a studio with the beautiful Dominika. This was a long anticipated first meeting and it grieves me that with a busy day ahead, I could only spend two hours working on some fantastic sets.

Dominika certainly knows what she is doing. Pre-shoot comms were very professional and we agreed a number of concepts that we wanted to shoot. In the end, we had so many options to shoot that it was a shame to put my camera down. I make no claims to having a fashion sense but Dominika has an excellent eye for what combinations will work in any situation. This helped us create some excellent and very different looks.

I have to say that working with Dominika was so much fun and I know the editing process will give me some very difficult decisions.

Thanks for an amazing shoot and I hope we have another opportunity to work together again in the near future.

This was my first shoot with Dominika. She originally contacted me to see if I would like to come to her Model Weekend – but I persuaded her to shoot with me in Swindon on another day instead!

Pre-shoot communications were good and Dominika arrived in high spirits with some lovely outfits to wear. Dominika is easy to work with as she is very friendly with a great sense of humour and we were able to work though a number of backgrounds, lighting set-ups and outfits – checking the images, in batches, on the studio’s large, smart TV as we went.

The result of our efforts is a good variety of images that we are both happy with.

Highly recommended.

I booked the wonderful Dominika as a photographer for a Mothers Day gift recently. This was hosted at my studio; "The Den studio " and we all had such an incredible day!!

It had been many years since my family had a family portrait (since 2012!) and I explained to Dominika what I really wished for; a series of individual portraits, a couple portrait and to finish a series of family portraits. Dominika took on board these wishes and went WAY beyond what I could ever have dreamed of!

Dominika was so professional, kind and respectful to my family. She has such an incredible gift of bringing out the very best in people and transforming her kind, gentle direction into beautiful portraits! She really made my family feel so comfortable in front of the camera and at ease.

Aside from this, she is a very warm, empathetic and kind person. To have a skill as a model and a photographer (plus a retoucher and artist) is quite some feat! This lady is the full package, incredibly talented and a photographers dream as she not only understands the modelling side of the camera but the photographic side also!

My family absolutely loved the photographic session and we are all truly spoilt with over 800 photographs to choose from!

Thankyou so much Dominika my beautiful friend for making my family and Mum feel so special and giving them a memory to last a lifetime.

Goodness me - what a great shoot that was, so many fabulous images I am not sure where to start. Dominika travelled to my studio for a shoot and from the moment I picked her up from the station we hit it off. Precomms were excellent and she brought the pieces of clothing I had requested and some fabulous key pieces that we used. She was well prepared and her hair and make up were flawless. Posing - well it is sublime and she needs no direction, she just flows along working with my music playlist and creating endless different looks and expressions. All in all our 4 hours went very quickly and together we created many different looks and styles using different lighting set ups. You really must work with her - so book her now........you won't be disappointed........x

How to almost start again or more accurately how to continue?

My last shoot with a Model was 8th November 2019 and I hadn’t seen anyone I know since 22nd November 2019. Only from 27th October 2021 when the Socials started up again.

Yet for all this time, there are those who keep in touch with me. I have been active trying everything possible but till recently no shoots at all.

The result being, over this time, my confidence is completely gone and my interest in Photography is….finished? Hm, almost, almost but not quite.

The past is another country, but the undiscovered country is the future!

So now being able to book a shoot again. I decided to photograph Dominika again.

Correspondence was a pleasure, going back and forth. I had a location in mind and some dates and times. Holding a TEFL certificate myself I note she has this lovely way in writing English, but the important thing is perfectly understandable as always.

So, date, time and location sorted.

We rendezvoused at Princes Wharf, on time of course.

For 2 hours, time stood still.

We wondered all over the City Docks. From L and M sheds and the cranes, past the Fairbairn Steam Crane, the Great Western Dock and the SS Great Britain, the Albion Dockyard, the Underfall Yard, Baltic Wharf and crossing the Cumberland Basin, right down the other side of the Docks to eventually the crossroads of Millennium Promenade with Canons Way.

I note here with our first meeting on 27th May 2019, she said little to me in person but understood completely. Far more talkative in writing.

Now in between sequences of shots and throughout the 2 hours, we are chatting away just like an old couple!

Pick one part and do a sequence of shots, show Dominika the back of camera and carry on.

I can certainly not claim this to be all my own work. Equally Dominika’s contribution to ideas and poses and where to go too.

Photography and posing just flowed like the tide.

Dominika also picking out places to shoot and suggestions and feedback on back of camera images.

She certainly knows the area well. Even though I do and was thrown a bit by parts that were not there in the areas I hadn’t visited for some time.

Noting to start with the TS Lord Nelson had moved to the opposite side to moor and later we spotted the MV Balmoral also opposite side and moored further down in the Docks.

No matter, I photographed Miss Great Britain 2021!

Would I recommend her? No need to even think about it, of course I do!

Everything I have said about her in my previous reference and more besides.

Complete Professional. Both as a Model and Photographer, invaluable.

Excellent communications, before, during and after a shoot.

I am again reminded how important it is to find the best and work with the best.

I now understand completely why David Bailey HonFRPS, and Jean Rosemary Shrimpton photographed and modelled all this time and why they thought so highly of one another!

On time. Despite the wind and cold, no fuss, no complaints, no diva or throwing a fit.

A problem or suggestion, she spoke up promptly. Excellent, straight questions and straight answers.

Up to now I couldn’t tell you what colour her eyes were.

I am always lost in them!

I don’t really pay much attention to stats either. As long as they are 18 years +. I can confirm that in Dominika’s case, but one can never tell!

She has a lovely dress sense too.

Her customary minimal makeup just a lovely shade of red lipstick and her signature gold eye shadow which overall is most suiting.

Adding to that pink nail varnish.

Quilted padded jacket with fur lined hood, very light colour, almost snow white, red dress, knee-high dark suede leather boots and black tights and dark leather gloves.

A most suiting pair of sunglasses, tortoiseshell, almost but not quite the style called Jackie for the late Jackie Kennedy.

I am in mind of Twiggy in Winter!

Oh, her eyes are a lovely shade of blue! I noticed that now.

I am glad now I have more full-length photographs of her and more of a fashion look too with poses, even kneeling under the trees. I am usually lost in her eyes so end up doing portraits and head and shoulder shots.

Posing. Lovely. Most varied I find, effortlessly flowing. Often it is the most subtle changes in pose and expression. Especially in a set I combined as a Triptych in the end but throughout the 2 hours. Whether fashion or more portrait.

Dominika has a lovely graceful, elegant, poise and movement. Subtle and Dramatic. Lovely and Expressive, even when keeping still.

All helps I find, as I do work fast.

As I have said, it is most certainly not all my own work, equally Dominika’s as well as mine. What poses to do, suggestions on how to photograph, what to do, where to shoot as much as my own ideas.

This has a took a long time to post all the photographs as there are just so many wonderful shots.

I did wonder from my first shoot, what could result from longer than 1 hour. Now I know!

I am equally reminded to never go on what just people say, always what do they actually do!

She really should have hundreds of references (all positive of course).

Snapping away, chatting away in a 2-hour walkabout!

One of the most pleasant and professional people I have ever met, again.

I would, equally, absolutely recommend her both as a Model and as a Photographer. One of the best there is in both fields.

On a bright, sunny, autumn day in Bristol, in the City Docks, on a walkabout for 2 hours, time just stood still.

I haven’t enjoyed life so much in a long time. Her presence is soothing, so puts people at ease.

A funny moment when she (after looking at the back of camera) said she wanted to do a few more where she was smiling. Me smiling back I said you’re always beaming! Which is true!

Literally everyone should book this (whether for photography or modelling… or anything) this Beautiful, Beaming, Ray of Sunshine.

That way no one misses out on a genuine, authentic Photographer and Model photoshoot that will always be remembered.

Now this is the 2nd shoot. For our next shoot it is not a question of if, or when, or where but simply how soon!

Dominika was great to work with, and we got some really nice images.

Dominika worked at our studio "The Den" over the weekend of; 6th-7th November and as always was the consummate professional! I booked Dominika for my wedding (as a photographer, supporting Damien Lovegrove and two other photographers, not members of Purpleport) in August 2021! Dominika captured some of the most important photographs of our lives and I am so incredibly grateful for her talent and friendship.

In particular she captured an image of myself and my Uncle just as I was beginning to walk down the aisle, at the grand Saint Mary Redcliffe Church which is one of my most favourite photographs from our wedding and is hanging in our hall.

Dominika captured the Gothic architecture and atmosphere most beautifully, a true moment in time! She captured family photographs to last a lifetime and bought out the very best in family and friends, making them feel so comfortable.

This lady really is immensely talented, but equally so kind and humble. She is a very skilled model and photographer, her retouching and editing is also beautiful, as is her artworks and her personality endearing, kind and compassionate.

Recently did a late afternoon flash photography photo session at The Den, Chippenham.

Worked with the lovely Dominika W, first time I had done a session with her, worth it.

Working one to one, change of clothes, poses, stood, seated and shaken: as in hair.

Portrait, fashion, colour, b & w and sepia, DomW 'lit them up texture, looks, movement.

Good communication, sense of humour and understanding, ideal 'portrait' subject.

She enjoyed viewing the result images via the back of camera, particularly 'mono'.
