References for Curiosity Photography Studio & Prop Hire

I'd had very good comments about Curiosity Studio from several models but never managed to book a shoot. When I discovered that Artemis Fauna had arranged a studio day here I had to book a couple of hours to find out what they had to offer. To start with the owners are incredibly friendly and helpful, the array of sets and props they have is brilliant. I was not sure what to do in the dungeon but knew that the black and red was going to make for stunning images so Artemis and I just got cracking. The results we achieved surprised both of us. I will definitely return to this studio some day soon. Highly recommended.

Artemis Fauna

Just returned from a fabulous day at Curiosity Studio!

Christine contacted me a few months ago and invited me over to the studio for a studio day. Over the months the communication was great and the studio day sold out very quickly.

On the day Christine and Preston were great hosts, so friendly and making sure I was OK/ had enough tea!

The studio is above a tattoo shop so on my breaks I would come down and have a look at the tattoo designs, chat to the staff/ customers and Christine...I really enjoyed the whole day!!

Studio was cool, loads of funky props, loads of lights. Changing room was clean, warm...Ticked lots of boxes!

I will be returning, so hope to see you all again in 2018! Thank you very much :)

Had a great shoot at Curiosity. The pre shoot communication was nice, clear and simple. Organised a shoot within 2 messages. And when I arrived had a warm welcome and felt very comfortable there.

This place really has so much to offer and really is an inspiring place to be. I would highly recommend it...

A fantastic studio! Bob (Lanes Photography) and I booked a shoot in this studio and we were made to feel most welcome and comfortable there. Refreshments were provided, it was clean, tidy, had good facilities, and I felt very much at ease here. Great props and space within the studio - it is very nicely done and a great place to shoot! Very much recommended - many thanks! :)

Once again, a huge thank you to Christine and Preston. I don't shoot studio work very often but when I do, Curiosity is up there with the best!!

There is a fantastic welcome on arrival, superb tea/coffee and great shooting areas. No problems with parking just makes the whole experience go with a bang.

Needless to say, 100% recommended and I will be back!

Just wanted to add a quick reference again. I have used the studio 4 times in the last few weeks, there is literally no more they can do to improve on the approach to helping you! They will take bookings at short notice, they are understanding if you're late due to traffic, they don't complain if your shoot time runs over, there is beautiful tea on tap and all of this is with a smile. The studio itself is interesting with some lovely features. I cannot recommend this studio too highly. Drew :)

Another fab shoot at Curiosity Studios! As always, the staff are very friendly and welcoming and the venue itself is insanely well stocked with a range of diverse costumes, clothes, props, lights, rigs and even its own dungeon!

It's always incredibly clean, tidy and they nearly always have a cup of tea and a smile waiting for you. I love shooting at Curiosity Studios and would recommend working there to anyone!

I cant recommend this studio highly enough! I absolutely loved it! Christine went out of her way to ensure I was comfortable and well looked after! The space has so many different props and a wealth of professional kit, it was spotless and well organized and warm! One of the most unusual and interesting spaces I have worked in. Cant wait to go back.

This is not my first reference for Curiosity Photography... it has become my studio of choice, partly because of the fantastic range of studios, and partly because Christine, Preston, and Tyler always make it such a pleasure with a warm welcome.

I wanted to post this particular reference because since my last visit, Preston has created yet more wonderful fetish and BDSM gear for The Red Room. It is beautifully made (as ever, he's a superb craftsman) but it is also cunningly designed, and opens up a wide range of opportunities for poses.

For any photographer who shoots fetish or erotic work, or wants to expand their horizons in a warm, welcoming and creative space, this must be a studio worth travelling to... and all you need is a camera, the place is full of Bowens lights and every light modifier you could hope for.

Because the studio spaces here are so carefully and thoughtfully planned, you can pack three or four totally different experiences into a single booking, with shoots ranging through high key white box, to low key and boudoir, and the Red Room.

As ever, very highly recommended, and I can't wait to drive over the mountain for my next visit!

I had the absolute pleasure of working in Curiosity studio on Sunday for my first ever studio day. I had put up a casting call for a tour in South Wales and Christine message me asking if I would like to do a studio day.

I jumped at the chance and I absolutely loved the experience. Pre communications were excellent and I knew exactly where and when to be, and who I was going to be working with.

Christine is an absolutely awesome lady, and Preston makes amazing props.

I was lucky enough to shoot in all 3 rooms, which were all absolutely amazing. It is a great studio and a brilliant place to work in, when I walked in I was in awe of all the amazing props and a lovely dressing room to get ready in.

Thank you so much for a great experience and will look forward to working at Curiosity Studios again.

I had the pleasure of shooting in Curiosity Studios yesterday and wow, what a venue!!

On the first floor above a tattoo studio, Curiosity boasts an insane amount of props and diverse sets, including a dungeon room full to the brim with fetish props and stocks, a bath tub, a human sized birdcage, costumes, wigs, props galore and my personal favourite - a goddamn friggin full size bastard sword!! It apparently also has a downstairs studio referred to as 'the white room', though I didn't manage to see it this time sadly.

The staff were lovely and regularly checked in to see if we were okay, as well as kindly keeping us stocked in tea and coffee (an essential!). Warm, clean and tidy, it also has a private changing room for models with plenty of privacy and natural light to do your make up in.

I can't wait to shoot there again! I'm coming back to drool over that sword if nothing else!!!

An Eye for Beauty

My first visit to this amazing studio and I am sure it won't be my last! It was a good 2 hour drive but Christine made everyone welcome. There are studios and studios, and Curiosity is in a league of its own. Not only do they have anything you can imagine there was also a willingness to source other items to complete some ideas I had. The white room is so easy to use with its suspended lights on runners and booms, while the red and black rooms have to be seen to be believed. [And you even have a tattoo while you wait!] My 2 hours sped past quickly and I had only dipped into a few of the possibilities. Above all I was thrilled that it was the lovely Keira who was booked for the shoot. A long and enjoyable day! See you again.

My first time at Curiousity and I can highly recommend! The studio is equipped with quality Bowens gear (including a hi-glide system in the "white" area) and has some unique set-ups and a lot of props. Christine looked after us throughout the day, nothing being too much trouble (I should especially mention great cups of tea, and cakes on arrival!). A fantastic shoot and an excellent day all round - I definitely plan to visit again.

If you haven't already discoved the joys of Curiosity it is well worth the journey!

Back to Curiosity shoot yet again, great place to shoot with lots options. Staff are all very friendly and and make a cracking cup of coffee, always a pleasure to shoot here.

I shot at Curiosity as part of a small group private hire and was very impressed with the quality of the rooms and props available. Preston was incredibly helpful with showing me the lighting rigs, but then melted into the background while I was shooting. I used only the white infinity room as a high-key boudoir set and it was perfect size for this. There were plenty of props available if required. I'd happily use Curiosity studio again.

Ghost Light Photography

I had a hugely productive visit to this studio, shooting with the always excellent Lexi Thorn. After a welcoming cup of tea and a quick tour of the various studio rooms, we were able to cover a great variety of sets and developed some further ideas as we went.

The studio is well equipped with lights, modifiers and other necessary items. It also has some excellent sets to use along with a selection of roller backdrops.

I would happily recommend this studio to all.
