So I haven't shot in a short while but I'm so glad my first shoot back was with mal/cheeky monkey, he's lovely to work with so professional but also really calming to, I didn't feel nervous at all once I reached the studio.

I know our work will be amazing it always is and I can't wait to work on our next project to!

I would highly recommend shooting with cheeky monkey, you won't be disappointed, and youl also have a really fun shoot to so win win haha.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Cheeky Monkey, he is such lovely gentleman and we talked far too much. We first met and shot very briefly at a recent event so when he contacted me for a studio shoot I obviously jumped at the chance. Pre comms were perfect and the shoot was fun and relaxed with possibly far too much chatting, Mal is such a lovely genuine man and it was a pleasure getting to know him. We also remembered to focus on the shoot and I can’t wait to see some bright colourful images. I would obviously love to work with him again and I highly recommend him to other models.

Had a fantastic shoot with Mal at his studio in Darwen. Comms before the shoot were great and from that I brought a selection of outfits that worked with our ideas.

Straight away meeting Mal I felt comfortable, he is lovely and chatty. It was a collaborative shoot where I could pose freely and then Mal would direct for certain shots. We tried different outfits and backdrops. He certainly knows his stuff, the shots look AMAZING. SO SO happy with them.

Can't recommend Mal enough he has some brilliant creative ideas! Very excited for our next shoot!! :)

This was my second shoot with Mal which was a UV Bodypaint workshop with Feral wolf productions. As always pre- communication was fantastic- he always has the most exciting ideas and he's so easy to talk to.

Our first shoot was a 1:1 at Shapeshifter Studios based around a rainbow style makeup and various fashion outfits. He was great when arranging ideas and planning and the overall shoot flowed nicely. He let me pose however I liked, giving direction where he needed for any specific shots and I really enjoyed myself!

Definitely one of my favourite shoots and I hope to shoot with him more in the future!

If you're looking for a fun, comfortable and unique shoot- Mal is your guy! :D

Shapeshifter Studios UK

Mal came to our UV lighting & Bodypaint workshop at the studio, working with Em (Yang Studios) and Ben (Feral Wolf Productions) pre-communication was great and he was prompt with payment! He arrived within a good time frame and was absolutely lovely to talk to, he was polite and enthusiastic with a great eye for fab shots!

He was respectful of the environment and worked incredibly well with our model throughout the session. We would highly recommend him to others and hope to have him back again soon!

This was my second time working with the wonderful Mel but the first time we shot 1-2-1.

He was again so kind to pick me up from the station and we first had a lovely brew. Mel was just beaming with creative ideas which we discussed beforehand which I just loved. We tried different things using fabrics in a very original way. From the images I saw from behind the camera they looked amazing. He is a whiz with lightning and just a really talented and passionate creative and it really shows in his work, on top he is a lovely person too and makes a pefect cup of tea :)

Back in April, Mal messaged me to book me in their Darwen studio. There was excellent written communication before, during, and after. Mal was understanding when we had to reschedule our dates.

At the studio, we covered fashion, fitness, and portrait. They let me freestyle the poses, and gave directions when needed. Throughout the photoshoot we conversed about ideas and creativity which made a relaxed environment. They worked the lighting themselves. There is a costume box with materials.

As an individual, Mal is a considerate and approachable. Mal is forward thinking continuously planning their next artistic endeavour. They are organised and proactive. I look forward to seeing their images with other creatives.

Shot with the lovely Mal yesterday for the first time and loved it! Precomms were great & clear- detailed description of where to go/ park and all sorts.. he is so easy to work with & chat to- nothing is too much trouble- even if you park in the wrong place & send him down to the bottom floor to get milk!

Mal really thinks of things from the models perspective from every aspect- shoot themes to more practical things such as getting home safely- genuinely lovely guy! The time shooting with him flew by, I really feel as though this first shoot we only scratched the surface on what we can achieve together & I look forward to getting to know him more, creating more & adventuring more. Highly recommended thanks Mal, until next time!

Mal helped and advised me on how to organise the event as it was my first experience having an event and he is experienced in that field.

He kindly came and supported me on the event day and fortunately, we had a chance to have a 121 shoot as well.

I shot with Mal at Darwin studio recently, during my manchester tour. This was our first time working together, he picked me up from the station and was super friendly and helpful from the get go.

We arrived and he was very laidback, allowing me to sort myself out and organise my outfits. Mal's pre comms were clear and he let me know what to bring, which was bright fashion outfits mainly so we shot some vibrant fashion and lingerie looks before doing some art nude images at the end.

Mal was a delight to work with, super easygoing and great to talk to about anything and everything!

I really enjoyed the shoot and I'm sure we got some great images too, highly recommended. :)

Mal is a wonderful person with a big heart and a very creative mind. When he asked me if I’d like to be apart of the Provenance Place Event that he and avant art pics organised I was over the moon! Mal took me and made sure I was back home safe without the hassle of public transport on a Sunday with a walking stick and suitcase, that is something i appreciate more than I possibly say to Mal, so wanted to thank him for that. Mal goes the extra mile and works tirelessly for any shoot and all the admin that goes on behind the scenes. I have the highest recommendations for Mal. ❤️

I worked alongside Mal for the first time today at group event for models and photographers were he was on site to assist throughout the day.

I had seen Mal's name pop up quite a few times across different platforms so it was lovely to put a friendly face to the name and he was very accommodating throughout.

We only had a short space of time on the day to have a few conversations in between shoots but he left a very good first impression, thanks to his professional approach, helpful character and sincere welcoming qualities.

Having seen enough of Mal's work and his references to recommend him, I was confident we'd get on well but after meeting him in person too, I would highly recommend working with him as I'm sure you won't be disappointed and I hope to do so myself in the very near future.

I was helping to assist Mal with his shoot with Em Yang, I was on hand to work with him in regards to setting up the lights and SFX and make sure he was happy with the final shot.

I found Mal great to work with, he was professional, had a very clear vision, worked great with Em Yang while directing her, and making sure she was comfortable during the shoot and most of all, was a very funny guy.
