Mal came back to Basford this weekend to work with the amazing talent that is Fanny Muller!!!

As always all pre comms with Mal were great and he arrived on time with everything he needed for a great shoot with Fanny!

We have now met Mal a few times and I can honestly say he is the most wonderful person!!! Mal is easy to have around, great fun to talk to and a real gentleman!! He always has so many wonderful ideas for shoots and works incredibly hard to capture many wonderful images as seen here on his portfolio!!

We would of course highly reccomend Mal and very much look forward to seeing him again soon!! Thank you so much Mal!!

Mel is literally amazing I can’t tell you this enough, I have worked with him two times now and we worked on a clown project and he let me be creative as much as I wanted to be on this shoot. His so caring, bubbly and such a fantastic person to be around. He is so professional and loves being creative his self. He has so many ideas and even I can’t keep track of it. I love working with people like Mel because I feel like he brings the best out of people but also himself. Before we shot he brought me a coffee and it was gorgeous. We shot at shapeshifter studios and I adore the owners as I have worked with the before too. I really want to work with Mel more and it be an honour too and just love his personality. You can’t get enough of him.

Thank you so much for looking after me and always here for you if you need me. You’re such a diamond and we need more photographers like you.

I had the pleasure of shooting with Mal for the first time recently and it didn’t disappoint. I got stuck in crazy traffic and what should’ve been a 2.5 hour drive took 4 hours but Mal was so kind and accommodating when I got there, making sure to have a sit and a chill before we started shooting which I was very grateful for. Regardless of the delay we still managed to get some really amazing images and shoot a range of amazing outfits. Thank you Mal and I hope to shoot with you again soon. 10/10 recommended!

Well I've lost count on how many shoots we've had! Mal is an absolute delight to work with and as long as he'll have me I will forever shoot with him an come skipping around the corner.

Mal booked me on a 1-2-1, pre-comms were spot on as always. We started with a nice little catch up and quick talk about the layout of the day. Every shoot with Mal just gets better and better. he trusts me with my choices of outfits and is more than happy to hear any suggestions I have whether it be about my style or lighting. Mal has no issue giving direction as and when needed to as well as providing frequent looks at the shots were taking.

There really isn't much I can't say that I haven't said before. Mal is a fantastic person all around, someone to feel safe and comfortable with and to top it all off, the weirder ideas you have, the better!

I will always recommend Mal to any model of any experience, you will not be disappointed.

I had my first shoot with Mal a couple of months ago after he had reached out to book me for a 1-2-1 shoot at a lovely studio he has use of as a resident photographer and we had a fantastic creative afternoon!

Mal was really professional and discussed ideas of shoot styles and looks he wanted to shoot prior to the shoot, but was also really friendly and put me at ease with shooting, before I had even arrived, so I felt comfortable and knew exactly what to expect and what we were shooting on arrival.

Mal is really easy to work with and is really talented, which is evident immediately from his knowledge of lighting and what he showed me from the back of the camera whilst we were shooting so I could adjust posing etc. Mal really plays down his knowledge and skill of photography as he took some amazing images I loved whilst being really down to earth and easy to get along with for a duration of a 1-2-1 shoot and every image I saw was of a high standard!

Mal ensured I had everything I needed and consistently asked if I needed any refreshments or anything else whilst we were shooting which was much appreciated. The studio he used was also really well equipped and kept immaculate with lots of cool spaces to shoot in.

I would 100% recommend Mal to any model or event and look forward to working with him again soon!

I travelled up to work with Mal at a studio in Warrington. It was my first time working with him and his pre-shoot comms were excellent, which ensured the shoot was easy to organise. Mal was easy to get along with and I felt at ease throughout the shoot. He made sure I was comfortable and the shoot was relaxed, with lots of conversation. Mal was professional at all times and we worked through a few different ideas. I would happily recommend him to others and hope to work with him again :)

Mal had the patience and understanding of a saint. After complications with trains on our first attempt to arrange a shoot, we were then confronted with train strikes on our second attempt. The day of the shoot was riddled with train delays — Mal patiently waited in the car park as and assured me not to worry as he was happy to work around the timings. His easygoing attitude made a stressful situation so much easier to manage!

Pre-shoot comms were excellent — we discussed outfits in advance so I knew exactly what to bring. Mal regularly checked in to make sure that I wasn't too cold in the studio, and that I was good on drinks.

The shoot itself was relaxed with friendly chatter in between shots. Mal was full of ideas on themes, all bold and creative. I enjoyed working with him and would highly recommend it! :)

I worked with Mal for the first time yesterday and had an amazing shoot. His pre comms were great, he was kind, professional, and was clear about the fashion he was interested in shooting. He was happy for me to bring whatever clothes I thought would work well, and he provided some really interesting clothes and accessories himself. His chill attitude comes across in his messages and I already knew it was going to be a good shoot from, where I felt comfortable and able to communicate. As a testament to his chill attitude, the trains I needed to get kept getting delayed and cancelled, but he patiently waited in the car park for me and said not to worry about how late I ended up being.

The shoot was also incredibly laid back. We had some time to just chat and unwind from my journey with a cup of coffee. And then the photography was very relaxed, with lots of fun chit chat in-between shots. The time truly did fly by.

His work is clearly very interesting, unique and artistic, and he's a lovely chap. I would 100% reccomend him.

It was really lovely to work with Mal again after a good while.

He was very welcoming, offering me a lovely mug of tea in the fantastic studio space where settled in and discussed ideas.

I absolutely love his creativity and enthusiasm, he's brimming with it! We worked though several different sets and I loved seeing what we were creating as we went along - some really fantastic stuff.

Mal is really professional and I was always made to feel comfortable throughout. He's such a lovely person to be around and to chat to, and the shoot was so enjoyable. It'd be a joy to return in the not too far future. I'd definitely recommend working with Mal if you get the chance.

Another fabulous shoot with Mal! It's always such a pleasure to work with him. Our pre-communication is always on point. We agreed quickly about our shoot and all the details. Mal always has a lot of great ideas. We agree on the outfits before the shoot, making it easier to prepare and know what to expect.

On the day of the shoot, he always greets me with a big smile, and we have a very interesting and friendly chat! He makes a lot of tea for me, and the atmosphere is always very warm and friendly! Mal always has a lot of great props and outfits with him, has great ideas, and is open to my suggestions. I am free to choose the outfits and create fun looks!

The shoot with him is so inspirational and creative! I can use my acting skills, dance, and have fun. He always sets up absolutely perfect lighting, and all the shots look stunning! It's just a pleasure to have him around; the whole shoot is relaxed and fun!

It was a pleasure to have a chance to work with Mal again in Shapeshifter studio (Warrington).

His pre-communication has been always excellent and we managed to prepare what we needed beforehand.

As usual, he was in the studio before me and everything was ready to shoot.

He was very patient and gave me enough time to get ready and do the face painting and was a very relaxing, comfortable and positive environment to have a creative shoot.

Images are unique and creative as I expected and I'm very pleased with them.

I had another incredible creative shoot with Mal in Shapeshifter studio in Warrington.

As always Mal asked me what we needed for our shoot and prepared all props and accessories earlier himself! On the day he was in the studio before me with all we needed. He was very patient and gave me enough time to decorate the backdrop and make-up. A nice environment to have a relaxing and creative shoot.

I had a great shoot with Mal on my little trip up to Lancashire a few days ago! Pre-comms were perfect- friendly and clear.

Mal was very easy to get along with and had some really nice outfits and props with him which I just HAD to try. You can tell he loves a quirky idea and has a really creative and artistic mind which is always such an absolute bonus!

Pre coms were excellent and he is very organised and brought some really amazing outfits with him things that I would never have brought but looked amazing on. His ideas and concepts are incredible and he is very creative.

I can’t highly recommend Mal enough, this is a fantastic photographer that will create and let you create pretty much any crazy ideas that you might have and let them come to life. I had a wonderful time at my first shoot with Mal. Appreciate communications were clear and absolutely perfect, Mal picked me up from the station right on time and was incredibly friendly (but professional) and accommodating.
