Just had another great shoot with Carla, this time at Mr Dave's in Exeter. As always, Carla was fantastic. She had exactly the type of retro outfits I wanted to shoot and had obviously put a lot of thought into co-ordinating all elements of the outfits, including accessories.

The 4 hours absolutely flew by and I got exactly the images I was looking for. Absolutely brilliant, definitely very highly recommended and I certainly hope to work with her again.

Second shoot with Carla, this time as a group shoot in Plymouth Studio Hire where she effortlessly changed from 60's fashion to Hollywood glamour to lingerie to sultry sexy to art nude, all in the space of a couple of yours. Carla makes it all look so easy and has a natural, timeless beauty that suits so many genres. She is also a delight to work with, being warm, natural, helpful and approachable. All in all a joy to work with.

What can I say about Carla Monaco?, well after my first studio shoot I came away with no illusions about her camera presence. She is stylish, with real Hollywood glitz and glamour. Her looks remind me of Bardot, so very captivating. Her work flow is effortless and Carla carried us the whole time. You buckle up, start shooting and enjoy the ride. Not the best kept secret, but Carla is the ideal combination of serenity, patience and beauty, that any photographer could wish for. It was a considerable pleasure to be able to shoot her, together with Artemis Fauna, in a variety of settings and genres, in my home. She brings a wealth of experience and ability to a shoot and is exceptionally good company as well. I would certainly recommend her to any photographer and certainly hope to work with her again.

This was my second time working with Carla: she modelled for a fine art photography workshop at my studio. Again, I couldn't be happier with how things went. Carla is creative and easy to work with, the looks were amazing and the workshop attendees loved working with her. Really looking forward to seeing her again soon, and of course she comes very highly recommended!

Spent a fantastic 4 hours training with Carla and Adrian last week. They were both fantastic to work with and extremely patient, what a team. Carla’s skills as a model need no endorsement from me, she truly knows her game, and was happy to share tips with me about working more effectively with models myself. I would love to work with Carla again and if you haven’t yet done so you should.

An Eye for Beauty

Carla stepped in at rather short notice to take part in another period costume shoot I had arranged. Already last year she had done 'Regency' and 'Edwardian' shoots, and this time it was the 'Roaring Twenties'. Superb images again, and she quickly changed through 7 costumes in 4 hours and managed to look fresh and authentic each time. I never cease to be amazed how she can create just the right look both in terms of hair style and expression. So far this lovely lady has enabled me to create three different Blurb photo-books - a lasting reminder of some wonderful shoots. This time was no exception.

Spent the afternoon with Carla on a home shoot, with a focus on natural light shots.Carla was full of enthusiasm and also contributed with some great ideas, being keen to ensure I made best use of my time. It was great fun, very relaxed and the resulting images were excellent. Highly recommended.

I photographed Carla for the first time at a 60's themed group shoot at PurePreston and wow she is certainly the best model I've ever worked with.

She is naturally beautiful, with a timeless look that gives her amazing versatility and she is extremely confident and professional. She has a lovely aura and is incredibly poised and composed whilst modelling making it virtually impossbile to take a bad shot!

With a lovely relaxed, down-to-earth nature, she was also very patient with me and suggested shot ideas of her own which i appreciated a lot :-)

One of the easiest references to write - BRILLIANT. Carla's communication before the shoot was excellent and even on the morning sent a travel update text!

As always, her hair and make-up was done to a very high standard, her clothing and accessories are first class.

She welcomes ideas, new concepts and develops your ideas with enormous flare. She has an enormous repertoire of ideas, poses and loves to extend and experiment.

Carla is a lady that every pose must be a winner. Carla is great fun to be with, lovely sense of humour and interesting to chat with. She has a wonderful technique of making you feel comfortable and helps to create the best possible images.

As others have said, a must to work with and I am looking forward to working with her again.

Highly recommended for every level of photographer.

An Eye for Beauty

My 11th shoot with Carla and the first of 4 planned for this year. I began with an hour of lighting tuition with Adrian, combining natural light with softbox fill, and then spent the rest of the shoot using those principles to achieve some really beautiful lit images of Carla. She never disappoints and I really enjoy working with her, always so relaxed and down to earth, but with that elegant beauty which is her trademark. I will see you again shortly, Carla, and thanks again.

Carla is perhaps the most naturally beautiful model that I have worked with. Extremely versatile, experienced and has a never ending mastery of many genre's.

I don't know if the clothes Carla had were the genuine 1960's but they certainly looked that way and Carla nailed each shot perfectly. Very chatty and easy to work with I look forward to working with Carla again in the (hopefully) not too distant future..
