I had a lovely shoot with Aurora Violet, which is always relaxed and friendly , best of all I got some great images as always.Aurora was on one of her glasgow visits.I have lost count,how many times we have worked together.Infact I also got the chance to work with Aurora the following day as well.

Nothing was too much trouble and new looks were achieved quickly and every time with good makeup,Not that I know to much about make up.

Pre shoot comms were fantastic, and we both knew what had been planned.Two hours flew past.

I would recommend Aurora to any photographer and will definitely work with her again.

And not for the first time this year do I find myself in studio with fabulous Aurora Violet and Creative Make-up by Saskia, but this time at Argentum.

On this occasion it was a four hour session loosely based around a festive theme.

Pre-shoot communication was, as usual, first class. Although to be fair I have been working with both Aurora and Saskia for so many years now we can finish each other's sentences.

On shoot day everything ran like clockwork. There were a number of wardrobe options and a couple of lighting set-ups that we managed to work through, as a result we managed to create a variety of looks.

As always, a fantastic session and some cracking images. Aurora comes highly recommended, and if you have the opportunity to work with Aurora, either on her own or in conjunction with the fantastic make-up skills of Saskia, then jump at it, you will not be disappointed.

A definate eleven out of ten!

29 November 2024 - Creative shoot with Aurora Violet @ the Black Lodge

Another amazing shoot with Aurora Violet - all genre in freestyle with a loose Fine Art theme. It was a four hour booking - shooting pre comms discussed from fashion outfits to full nude were beautifully captured. Aurora is delightful company to be and work with, does not need any guidance and works with easel to an outline brief. We both supplied outfits and props for the day.

Claire aka 'LensGirl of the Black Lodge helped set up the background stand and studio lighting - white background - chosen against a platform with soft light covering. The studio is well equipped and heated on occasion.

Aurora Violet on occasion had been a private booking, and as she had made the journey by train to Falkirk, I had arranged collection/return to and from station and studio. I personally assure model safety - the studio being owned by Claire a lady photographer I have now known for five years.

The shoot went well and I have already published some stunning images shared in PurplePort. Much of the success I do credit to Aurora who I hold in high regard.

To all Photographers searching for a professional model - Aurora Violet has without doubt my Highest Recommendation.

I worked with Aurora for the first time last week in her home, and I really enjoyed it. She was professional, patient (as I shot on film), and very welcoming. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to work with a professional model with a nice personality. I'm already looking forward to working with Aurora again.

As always communication was excellent, I sent Aurora some ideas of what I was looking for and wow the results.

I wanted to challenge Aurora with some very stylish and challenging poses, which she did brilliantly,.

Aurora is friendly and a true professional, if you haven't worked with Aurora then your missing out not only does she take direction well she has her own ideas for the shoot and I've never been disappointed with our results.

My first shoot with Aurora at her home after she responded to a casting I had when I had some free time in her area, which unfortunately didn't come to fruition. But I'm glad we were able to book something and shoot.

Pre comms were great as I had sent several ideas across to see what could be shot, and ended up selecting a few to focus on during the shoot. She didn't need much guidance, but when I gave it, she was open and receptive to the feedback.

Disappointed the British weather didn't play its part in the ideas we had, so can't blame Aurora for that. Looking forward to our next shoot, whenever that may be, and creating some more incredible images

Had another wonderful shoot with Aurora, we have have done a few shoots together now and she is always a joy to work with, Aurora is very creative and always makes the shoots better than planned, we got some really good images. This was my third shoot with Aurora, this time a halloween styled shoot, with incredible makeup by Creative Makeup by Saskia, at Argentum Studio in Musselburgh. The style this time round was Sugar Skeleton UV body paint, the look was quite spooky and dramatic. I loved the shoot and look forward to working together again.

This was my SEVENTH shoot with this gorgeous soul and we are never at a loss at coming up with new and creative ideas during our times together even though we have now created so many unique images over the past 18 months. She is a model who inspires and stokes the creative flames of the photographer and i always look forward to not only shooting her but also being in her delightful company.

Tryst

At last, I am getting the chance to reflect on and review my first experience working with the legend, Aurora Violet.

When she first approached me for the prospect of booking a duo shoot at my home, I thought it was a dream come true. She is a pillar in the industry, and I have been living under a rock since I arrived in UK, wanting to reach out to the other models but have been too shy. The only way to get me out of my shell was to be approached first, and I don't believe anyone other than her could have done it.

She was simultaneously incredibly dedicated to creating our plan, aswell as patient with me as I was slow at replies and new to the concept.

In person, immediately her spirit put me at rest. She is beautiful, and bizarrely easy to talk to. She stayed the night before the shoot, and helped me prep, as I was quite behind on everything. She prepped sandwiches using my dull knife, as Im gluten free and didn't own a breadknife. We would have stayed up very late talking if my health did not require me to go to bed early.

On the day of the shoot, posing with her came incredibly naturally. We worked very well together - she effortlessly creates graceful shapes, and has an absolutely flawless look, face hair and figure. I hope I did her justice posing with her!

I am so grateful for the experience, which was a huge success, overall - despite a pitch black rainy day in the house, and not filling all our openings - it was just enough for me, and each segment went so well - the house was full of many happy artists that weekend.

I treasure the memory and hope to create many more. Jenna is a great person and hopefully will become a great friend.

I managed to get to work with Aurora again during a recent trip to Scotland. It’s been 3yrs since our last shoot and I swear she looks younger …!!

Working with Aurora is a total joy, she has incredible experience and really takes the time to understand what you want from working together. She is always on time, prepared and has such positivity that shines through. The range of styles she can produce is amazing, I cannot recommend her enough. Book her asap.

Another fabulous shoot with Aurora Violet. Everything was really good, from the planning and arrangements, to the sharing and developing of ideas during the shoot and her skills in posing with a minimum of direction from me, and knowing what poses worked best for the setting.

This was an outdoor art-nude shoot on a humid, still day and the midges were a real nuisance - but you wouldn't know that from her professional approach to it all. It was me who called a halt at each location, when the midges got to much for me, even though I was showing them a lot less skin to attack.

Bravo Aurora, really good to shoot with you again.

I had a lovely Duo shoot with Tryst and Aurora. Despite the weather altering initial shoot plans, we created some wonderful images.

It was great to finally meet Aurora, and I'm pleased with the images that we created - she's easy to get along with and gives valuable input to a shoot.

Hopefully this will be the first of many shoots in the future.

This was my first shoot with Aurora and is was an excellent and enjoyable experience. I've wanted to work with her for some time and was not disappointed. Her experience, creativity and enthusiasm shone through. We worked through a number of ideas and got some brilliant results.

It was a duo shoot and Aurora and Tryst worked very well together the whole session just flowed so smoothly between the three of us.

Hallucinating Light

My first time working with Aurora as part of a duo shoot with Tryst at Tryst's home. We all had a great afternoon together and produced some memorable images, with both Aurora and Tryst making suggestions for what we could shoot.

Aurora is great to work with and so easy to get on with and I'd have no hesitation in recommending her to any other photographer thinking of shooting with her. Hopefully we can work together again some time in the future.

Another fabulous shoot with Aurora - this time in her garden in Scotland. As she is so versatile and the location so suitable we did a range of stuff from art nude to cosplay all of which was great fun and very productive. Aurora was a delight to shoot with, very enthusiastic and extremely talented.

Next time she's either on tour or I'm back in Scotland I'll definitely be looking to book another shoot.

My second shoot with A-V and this time it was at her place in Scotland. Her garden has lots of great spots to shoot in and we were really lucky as the rain abated and the sun came out an hour or so before the shoot. Being at home we had access to her whole wardrobe and made good use of it and some costumes I brought to do some "cosplay" style sets as well as classic art-nude. Time just flew by and A-V was very accommodating to my requests. All told another great shoot with this very talented model.

Fabulous second shoot with Aurora, once again a body paint event styled by ‘Creative makeup by Saskia’, this time a floral styled theme. I come away with some wonderful images, Aurora provided lovely range of poses with creative suggestions, over the length of the shoot.
