Really enjoyable and productive first shoot at The Loft. I used Dan's part time studio manager as my model for the day (Ayla!!) Dan was extremely welcoming and was always in the background ready to help not that I found it necessary as the studio was extremely tidy and all the extensive range of lights and modifiers were on hand and easily accessible. The studio offers a great variety of natural backgrounds which provide endless shooting opportunities and additionally there is some great natural light as well. Spent the day exploring the options the studio has to offer - and there are many more left to try - producing a rather different style of art nude and even some portrait work. Cannot wait to return and explore the artistic opportunities further

Highly recommend...first time shooting at this studio with AJ11 and Dan was very welcoming making sure I was warm, made me cups of tea and bought me lunch. The studio is great...wooden floors...has a window so you can use the natural light (the sun shines right through) and very spacious for backdrops.

I chose 'The Loft Studio' for my very first studio shoot and cannot be more pleased I did. Right from the start Dan was welcoming and helpful, offering both coffee and great advice. He was happy to organise a great light set up and backdrop for me and Miss Diamond Sparkle and took the time to explain how everything worked. As well as being really helpful, Dan was also great company: a real character for whom nothing was too much.

The studio itself was light and airy with a whole range of equipment for me to still explore as well as some beautiful natural light.

I'd happily recommend The Loft Studio to anyone.

Used the studio again this weekend because the facilities and options are awesome. Well equipped with everything I could have needed and the owner and management are a pleasure to deal with. Perfect comms before to sort out entry. There's a reason I shoot there and will shoot a lot there in the future. Its the best in the area!

I've shot at the loft numerous times. Well equipped with plenty of space to either shoot alone or part of a group, pretty much any modifier you could think of, available natural light and decent size (real) window, backdrops and an actual brick wall (with old damp marks!), comfy sofas, plenty of local parking and with a station three minutes walk away. Best of all, Dan and Ayla are always the brilliant and welcoming hosts. Would highly recommend. (I also recommend the workshops run here, so keep an eye out for those).

I shoot at The Loft regularly. It's a well equipped, spacious studio which is also suitable for natural light shots due to a very large window.

The owner, Dan, has the experience to advise and help with lighting if required but otherwise will melt into the background - apart from when making tea or coffee!

The studio also runs a variety of workshops and I attended one on frequency separation and one which looked at composite images. Dan patiently guided the participants through the techniques and I have used the techniques learnt on a number of images.

Thoroughly recommended!

The studio is fully stocked, well kept and has an extremely friendly team running it who from moment of booking are ready to assist in any requests and needs.

It comes with my highest recommendation of all the studios ive used and will continue to use it regularly for years to come

Yesterday I had the pleasure of working in The Loft studio for the first time and found it to be a fantastic atmosphere in which to shoot. Dan, the owner is an absolute gent and was on hand to help out if required.

I was working within a few a minutes of arriving as everything I required was to hand and ready to use. It's a very usable space in which I felt very comfortable working.

I have no hesitation recommending The Loft, I will certainly be working there again.

Had my first experience at the loft for Dave Massen’s first workshop. The studio is extremely well equipped for using lighting as well as a huge window for natural light. I would highly recommend using this studio and am really looking forward to using it again soon.

The Loft Studio is one of those rare places where you just want to keep shooting...it's in a fabulous riverside location and the place oozes atmosphere! With brick walls, wood floors and amazing natural light I just loved it! Add owner Dans mega helpful and witty personality it's a really fabulous place to shoot! It's very well equipped and has some great props!...what more can you ask? Thanks Dan!

I have used the studio many times and have found it everything that any photographer could wish for. The owner who is very well known is both very helpful and charming.

The space is wonderful, the facilities are comprehensive and the atmosphere is rare.

What a fantastic studio. A proper blank canvas for the photographer to create their own set. I picked the studio because of the large window as I wanted to have good defused natural light. I was not disappointed.

The studio owner, Dan Tidswell - a successful commercial photographer, was on hand throughout the shoot, without being intrusive. Offered great advice and help with lighting set ups.

Will definitely be heading back to The Loft. Highly recommended.

I went to my first group shoot with a model and photography friends to the Loft and was really pleased with facilities. There are lots of studio lights available together with various backdrops, props and natural light areas as well as plenty of space. Dan was on hand to provide assistance and friendly banter throughout the day. I was very impressed with the studio and would definitely recommend to others and will be booking again soon.

I worked at The Loft Studio for the first time the other day on a recent tour and thought it was such a lovely space with great equipment for the photographer to use and a lovely atmosphere to work in!

I was booked here recently for a full day working with photographer Terry King and had such a great day! The kitchen area in the studio was also very appreciated for refreshments and preparing food. The toilets are downstairs and easily accessible. Parking was easy, although the car park was full on the day outside the studio, I parked very close nearby. I loved the natural light and the wooden floorboards, its a really great space and I hope to be back soon! Highly recommended, Helen x

I had a photoshoot at the the loft studio today. First time of using this studio. First impressions was wow. The studio was clean and tidy. Has a lot of light kit and accessories. A nice range of props to use to. Dan was really friend to. He stayed till I was happy with the set up of lights and that. I hope to shoot here again soon.
