I had the absoloute pleasure of working alongside Dan at his cosy studio in Essex

I have been modelling across the globe for seven years and I can honestly say that Dan is one of the nicest helpful and loviest people that I have met in the industry.

I cannot recommend the studio enough! As soon as I entered I felt instantly at ease and comfortable.

The shoot went really well, Dan helped hugely with lights and backgrounds, making sure that the day ran smoothly.

The studio is a brilliant and versatile space to work in, The natural light that moves around the studios is wonderful to explore, especially if you're blessed with bright sunlight to add amazing shadows of the windows on the wooden floor and walls, An excellent space and I always felt so fully looked after

Attended the UKmodelevents day, with a view to hopefully booking the studio for a full day in the future and was not disappointed, a great venue with plenty of natural light but also great studio lighting, props and features to work with. Great facilities too!

The Loft is my favourite studio to shoot in. I have worked there the most out of any other places and consider it my second home.

Dan the owner is the most charismatic, helpful and talented person I have ever met and has been a huge blessing to me in my career as a model.

He continuously puts up with all my crazy events, requests and favours (I will return the studio camera I promise!) and I cannot recommend him and the studio highly enough,

Its a popular studio for a reason and it will always come highly recommended from me :)

I have held two studio days at the beautiful Loft studio so far and will definitely be back :) It's a great space to shoot with lots of nice props and lighting. I loved my first visit to The Loft Studio! Having seen so many incredible images created in the space, I was really excited to be working there, and was not disappointed! The place has a warm, welcoming energy, that makes you feel immediately at home, and Dan is really easy going and friendly. As well as my bookings, I also got to shoot with awesome Ayla, who met me there, who is of course so familiar with the studio and a brilliant co-host.

The backdrops are so high, which leave so much space for jumping, dancing, and twirling fabric around. The model's changing area is sweet with lots of table space for laying clothing and make-up out, as well as a rack of fab clothing that can be borrowed. The textured floor, ambient lighting, mirrors and daylight areas also lend so much possibility!

I hope I can return in the not too distant future. Very happily recommended :-)

Just had a couple of shoots at The Loft Studio in Colchester.

The studio is well outfitted and also has many possibilities for natural light shooting. An excellent wooden floor is a real feature along with the brick walls.

Most highly recommended.

Having decided on shooting with a model I met on facebook, The Loft Studio, was a natural choice, as it was local for my model.

Throughout the scheduling chats with Dan, he was super friendly and helpful and offered to meet me at the station.

Once at the studio Dan offered a variety of fabulous advice both on set ideas and lighting.

In truth this studio, with all it’s versatility, offers plenty of natural lighting opportunities and room for for creative thinking.

A great find to be revisited.

Wow! Had the most fantastic photoshoot at the studio, 2 models in 4 hours and 5 hours to get there but the travelling was well worth every minute.

The studio , lighting, facilities , props etc are brilliant and not forgetting Dan a master photographer in his own right! Dan was always on hand, helping with lighting and technical advice if it was needed

So without doubt I would recommend Dan and his studio 100% and hope to return one day in the future.

I had my second shoot at the loft and once again I was over the moon with the studio , hospitality and working environment, a truly wonderful experience shooting here .

It was my first time shooting at The Loft and I have to say, what a great set-up!

The studio is beautiful, lots of opportunity to shoot with various setting and backgrounds. There is great natural light shoot opportunity as well as an array of studio light to utilise. Anyone looking for a studio with lots of shooting options, this is the place.

Very happy to recommend and to go back and shoot there again.

I was extremely fortunate enough to be able to spend some time last week at The Loft for my long-awaited shoot with Tillie...and what a place!

I firstly need to say that what makes the studio is Dan Tidswell. I'd known of his work for a while, and it was an absolute pleasure to meet him and get his input during our shoot...and the knowledge he has of his craft is staggering! He also was the most fantastic host during our time there.

The studio itself is an amazing space with everything you could want at hand and various areas to shoot in and create sets, and I cannot really think of anything that cannot be shot there. Tillie and myself rounded off our time with an overhead lit art nude set, which I wasn't sure would work with the space...but I stand corrected, as the BOC were incredible!

The Loft is a fantastic studio, and I highly recommend it without the slightest hesitation. I really look forward to returning there soon, and get creating more fantastic images!

What an awesome studio! I had a studio day there yesterday and I am so pleased I worked there. Dan made me feel welcome and looked after throughout the whole day. The natural light is just beautiful coming from the main window and there are lots of different furniture to work with. The model changing room is perfect for every models needs! Lots of clothes and different props to use. I would highly recommend working at this studio and I really hope I get the chance to work there again! Thanks Dan!

The Loft Studio was recommended to me by my model for the day Suzi Star and it really didn't disappoint. Id heard great things about the studio and it more than lived up to expectations. Dan is a very friendly and welcoming host. we were able to shoot all the sets we wanted as well as a couple more experimental sets using both the large variety of flash lights mixed with natural light from the large window. The props are brilliant and the stone walls as a background made for a little something different from what i normally shoot.

All in all a great, fun day and I 100% recommend the studio to everyone

This was one of a number of recent workshops that I have attended at the Loft Studio. On this occasion Ayla Rose was organising the workshop. The communication was excellent and the studio as always lent itself to the evening brilliantly. There is everything one could possibly want there and a very good selection of lights and modifiers.

I would highly recommend this studio to any photographer who is looking for a large studio and Dan Tideswell is always very willing to be of help if hiring it for a personal shoot. I would also strongly recommend any of the workshops that are run by Dan Tideswell and Ayla Rose at the studio.

I had a shoot at The Loft working with Tillie Feather. Dan, the manager, was very welcoming and was on hand to assist in setting up and giving guidance as to lighting settings and suggestions for shooting angles. However, once you were happy with the setup he retreated to the background until needed again.

There are a number of sets available in different parts of the studio and the choice of natural light or studio flash. There are facilities to review your shots on a big screen if you wish and there are drinks and snacks available - what more could you ask!

I had a four-hour shoot and achieved six different sets during that time. All pictures worked very well. This is a fabulous studio and well-worth a visit if you are not already familiar with it.

I had the great pleasure to be allowed to shoot at the Loft two full days on 11th and 12th of October 2018. A very inspiring and well equipped studio that I warmly recommend, with both good strobes and daylight opportunities. I had five shootings in total, all of which were supported by Dan or Ayla. Five star, and I hope to be able to come back.
