References for Team Black

Whilst I have had a little experience in the past working with amateur models, I felt that I needed to expand on my experience into working with professional models. Thinking about things a bit further, I decided that what I really needed was a tutorial session, with assistance from both a good model and a good photographer. After doing a bit of a dig around, I came across the perfect solution working with Team Black.

Angel and John provide a really great balance of strengths.

Angel admits that she isn't interested in the technical side of things, but provided great assistance regarding posing ideas, and pointed out a number of "do"s (and some "dont"s) regarding working with models. She was the person that I had most comms with in advance, and set expectations regarding the shoot itself. She has an incredible amount of experience as a model generally, and flowed naturally into any number of outfits, poses and situations. All the while she handed out many ideas during the natural progression of the shoot to help me come to terms with the "people" and "posing" aspects of a shoot.

John on the other hand is really into the technical side of things, but has a great eye for situations and locations, has a massive mount of experience working with different models, knows how to use the equipment to get a particular result from any given shot, and seems to really enjoy passing on his experience. He went back to the basics, and made me think a lot more about the mechanisms of image creation.

After the shoot, I received a document from with a number of pointers for things to look out for and investigate to move forward as a photographer.

All in all, a REALLY worthwhile shoot.

I had another remote shoot with team black, all really well done. The pre shoot communications were great as usual. I have now done a few remote shoots and all with great results. These are all well set up prior to start and easily changed as shoot progesses too. I look forward to catching up when they visit north later in the year.

I would highly reccomend Team Black to any photographers out there.

Due to work commitments I couldn't do a virtual shoot so I responded to a casting call for an e-shoot with Team Black. I wanted 50 images that I could use for practising life/figure drawing and also for practising my black/white Photoshop editing. Communications were perfect, the images were delivered quickly and every single one of the images was stunning. I cannot recommend Angel and Jon highly enough and will definitely be returning for more in the future. Thank you both :-)

I shot remotely with Angel and with the assistance of John today, it being my first remote shoot. They were both helpful and patient with me and took me through the process simply and expertly. The shoot went perfectly.

John is extremely helpful, and Angel is such a beautiful and experienced model. We had a shoot plan but I strongly suspect that Angel could have shot some amazing poses for the whole shoot without any input from me. She can take direction without any issue and is able to adjust the pose to make it even better.

I can honestly recommend the pair of them, if you haven't worked with them before you don't know what you are missing. I will certainly be looking to work with Ange again, though maybe next time in a face to face shoot.

I shot remotely with Angel yesterday and it was a pleasant collaboration.

I got some amazing shots and the assistance from John was very proffesional, he’s capable to understand instantly the meaning of the light that was suggested by me.

We did a slow shoot with eye for perfection in the suggested concept and Angel feels the meaning of each detail,

My first time working with Team Black (Angel & John) on a remote shoot themed event, Hollywood styling.

Very organised, great set up and great folks to work with. Super fast to ensure we got a number of different sets in our 1hr slot and also really quick in sending the images through.

Working with Team Black is so much fun.

This time was an assisted tethered shoot, given that that a tripod limits the options, having John to assist by holding the camera into positions the tripod couldn't otherwise be placed as directed by myself (The camera was still controlled by myself). The results were amazing, as close to real-life shooting as is possible.

The sets and outfit options were amazing and Angel is a lovely lady to work with too.

Again we got some amazing shots and the assistance from John was invaluable.

I highly recommend shooting with Team Black if you haven't already.

Today was a second remote shoot with Team Black..

After the first shoot going so well the pressure was on to live up to and boy did Team Black deliver. I can't praise the work that Angel and John put into these shoots enough!

Angel absolutely nailed the images I was chasing and John yet again came up trumps with the lighting.

First shoot was great but this took it to a higher level and the images are amazing.

Today I did an online session with Angel & John to show how to manage a remote shoot. Team Black have a great setup with a variety of shooting scenes with both daylight and studio with lighting. They showed how easy it was to go on line and with access to their laptop, to take control of their Nikon D750. At the end of the session they transfer RAW files to you and also the copyright to the images. To anyone who is unsure about remote shooting, I highly recommend Team Black, not only for their technical expertise but a great team and a totally winning and wonderful model, Angel.

Just had my first remote shoot with the awesome Angel & John. Pre shoot coms were excellent and after a quick run through with Angel on how things worked we were off and running within 5 minutes.

The set up by John was of a superb quality which was matched by the quality of images.

I cannot express enough how much effort Team Black put into making this probably the best shoot I've had.

If anyone has the chance to work with Angel & John please grab it with both hands and have an enjoyable/memorable shoot.

I had my first remote shoot today with the brilliant Angel and John / team Black. We were up and shooting very quickly, and the lights / set and styling were all prepared in advance from discussions that we had beforehand, so that we got straight to shooting. Everything went brilliantly and I am looking forward to getting to work on the images. My ideas where understood and accommodated and the whole process was easy and straight forward. Any adjustments made quickly by John while Angel posed with ease. Today was my first eshoot with Team Black. Angel communicated really well and promptly beforehand so as to understand the sort of images I was looking for. I was very pleased to receive a great set of images, in both indoor settings and in their garden. Angel and John had worked hard to provide a super series of images that I can practice editing on. Like others I hope that one day it might be possible to do a photoshoot for real but until then I'd recommend Team Black eshoots as a good covid alternative.

A creative kitchen shoot & a boudoir NSFW eShoot - This is my 3rd eShoot with Team Black & each time they nail my requirements.

John is a great natural light photographer & Angel is the most delightful model, which makes all the edits so easy to do. The hard part is choosing which ones to do.

Excellent results again - highly recommended
