Apart from being a talented and beautiful model, when she takes on the role of organizing a remote shoot she is top notch. She is well organized, prepared and puts everything in place prior to use the time wisely. During the shoot, she there to assist, advise and help create top notch images. Had the absolute pleasure of working with team black for a remote studio day at their home .

This was my first ever time shooting remotely so I didn’t know what to expect to say the least.

I was warmly welcomed and offered a drink as soon as I arrived and introduced to Angel and her husband John who were both lovely kind people.

The first shoot begins and after a few minutes adjusting myself to get used to the camera and the laptop being a flipped view (which was the hardest but) trying to shuffle the correct way to get everything in shot, once I got that down I was good to go!

Angel helped assist throughout and her knowledge on lighting and camera and the remote shooting software is impressive she helped with any issues that arised, solving them immediately.

I was provided lunch and a portable heater too as in the uk especially October through to March it’s not the warmest so I appreciated that so much.

Team black organised and sold the day very fast and handled everything so I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to work with them and I look forward to future shoots with them!!

Some forty years since my last attempt to shoot a portrait portfolio I thought it was time for a refresher. I chose Team Black and from our very first communication I knew that I had picked the correct and very professional outfit for the job.

I chose a 6 hour session and drove down to their studio in Taunton. We started by going through a portfolio of shots that I had taken in the past of family and friends which gave them an idea of my capabilities.

Angel then led a wide ranging discussion over every concern and topic I had prepared and then added a number of key areas that I had not considered. Of especial interest, never having worked with a professional model before, was the subjects of model etiquette, costs, contracts, shooting styles and individual versus group shoots.

John then took over bringing me up to date on lighting, camera settings (John doesn't allow you to use auto functions!) and how to frame your shots for the situation. It was only then did we step into the studio.

They had arranged 5 seperate sessions to cover the ground. Sessions one and two were in the studio with John controlling the lighting and giving the (very) necessary advice. Session three was in a local park using natural, and surprisingly bright sunlight - aided by th use of a reflector. I thought that this would be the easiset session but it was quite difficult framing the shots correctly. Back at the studio there was a session using just an arm chair to show how little room is required to take even a full length portrait. The final session was in the bedroom with mainly natural light streaming in - the whiteness of the bedding made this difficult to handle - although by then we had, I felt, developed a real rapport and it was the best session of the day for me.

They are an amazing team. John has great technical ability and can put it across in laymans terms. Angel is a superb model able to strike whatever pose you ask for. They are warm, genuine and down to earth professionals who love their job. I am delighted to have chosen them and would, with out hesitation, recommend them to anyone from a novice like me to someone just wanting to polish there skills.

I left with a large portfolio of photographs which exceeded my wildest expectations and a plan to get back into photography as a hobby. A friend is already lined up as my next model!

After a one hour shoot with Team Black in the morning, I wanted to return to put the knowledge into practice as soon as possible, and fortunately it was possible on the same day for another hour. Team Black is a great name for this dynamic duo, because both Angel and John can guide you through composition, lighting, settings, pose, wardrobe, style and post-processing options with knowledge and experience. I learned lots, but at the same time had opportunity to try my own ideas throughout. The results already exceed my expectations. Angel and John are the ideal combination of professional but relaxed and friendly. A truly inspirational team, I hope to shoot with them again very soon.

This was my first tuition session with Team Black, I was a little nervous, but immediately I was made to feel at ease by John and Angel. A genuine warmth from them both, with a passion to help. Within a few minutes after theb best cuppa tea I have had in some time, we were shooting away and the knowledge, experience and wisdom from both was beig shared. It was a great pace so you didn't get information overload. Feedback was given throughout the tuition which was excatly what I was hoping for and more. Feedback from a models perspective was amazing. Both Angel and John worked hard throughout the 2 hour session.

If you need tuition don't look any further! You will find it incredibly hard to find better. I learned such much yesterday, it is without doubt I will train again with them. I can not thank them enough, for the tutition, advice, making me feel welcome and just be fantastic hosts. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing tuition session with Team Black today. Great people, made me feel welcome and put me at ease from the moment I arrived. Pre-shoot communications were excellent. We shared some ideas of outfits and photo styles. Upon arrival we had a brief discussion about the photo options. With John's excellent photographic / lighting skills and advice, together with Angel's amazing modelling ability the session far exceeded my expectations. I came away with some absolutely amazing images to download and a much greater understanding of lighting techniques. Great team. Cannot rate Team Black highly enough. Thank you :-)

My experience with Angel and John was just excellent, no other words! They are just so knowledgeable on both the photography and model side of the business. John was so helpful in the technical side, camera settings, positioning and framing up the shot. Angel was so in tune with what we were trying to achieve and was able to adapt to the lighting that we were experimenting with. If anybody is looking for an all-in model photography session, then I would advise them to book in for a home shoot with them. It was excellent from start to finish. Thank you for a five star experience!

I attended the Team Black tutorial on natural light photography today and what I day. I learnt loads from John, camera settings, composition, contrast and angles. All this was made much easier with a perfect model, Angel, who puts you at ease and understands what you are trying to capture.

I haven’t shot portraits for years, so I needed to grab a lesson, refresh, and learn new skills. I highly recommend Team Black, and I left feeling more confident in my ability to capture an outstanding picture and left with some brilliant shots too.

You couldn't ask for a better duo for tutoring. John and Angel are a complete delight to be around. Full of humour, patience and knowledge between both of them.

Would definitely recommend a tutoring session from them for anyone looking to improve their photography. You'll come away with some great images as well as a lot more knowledge than beforehand. Hopefully be able to pester them both with some obscure tutorial ideas in the future. :D

What a fabulous team these two really are. I recently enjoyed a four hour tuition session with John and Angel on natural light photography indoors at their home and out on location in the park and the woods, and It was absolutely a top drawer experience for me. Angel was the perfect model, gorgeous, witty, engaging with beautiful poses in various outfits including some rather top end lingerie which showed off her fabulous female curves. John was a font of all photographic and creative knowledge guiding, supporting and coaching me along the way with some great tips on how to manage both camera , position and the available light to achieve some wonderful results. John has the photographers eye , seeing the potential for a great image instinctively, then how to set things up and execute to perfection. It was wonderful to be able to pick the brains of such an expert, an absolute rare opportunity. Together they are a powerful team and to be able to share in their passion for creating superb images, even for a brief 4 hour time slot, was a real pleasure and is highly recommended for anyone thinking of working with these guys, you will not be disappointed.

Great shoot with Angel & John from Team Black!

I recently booked a natural light tutorial session with Team Black Events. The 4 hours flew by way too quickly with two hours shooting various creative setups in the Team Black Home Studio and two hours shooting on location at Klive Beach in North Somerset.

Planning the shoot in advance went really smoothly with Team Black being able to suggest various locations add something extra to the shoot. On the day both Angel and John were welcoming, friendly, chatty and a pleasure to work with. Angel & John worked together to ensure the tutorial was tailored to my abilities and that I got the most out of the session.

I would highly recommend a Team Black tuition session to anyone considering booking. You will come away with some brilliant images, gain confidence and learn new skills in the process.

I had a wonderful shoot with Team Black yesterday on line. I had not done an on line shoot before but they both helped along the way. John did the camera setup & then Angel directed & modelled for the morning.

It was a fun & really enjoyable morning & I got some great images.

I am really pleased with the results & I would highly recommend with Team Black who made the whole session enjoyable, fun & productive.

I worked with Team Black today on my first experience of a remote shoot and both Angel and John were superb from start to finish! Very relaxed but highly professional in both their manner and the locations/equipment available. Angel was a superb model, providing poses without requiring any input from me, but was happy to accommodate when there was something specific I was looking for. John was brilliant with re-positioning the camera, and although I've not done a remote shoot where it's just the model, I think the benefit of having someone to move/reposition the camera was an enormous benefit both in terms of time saving and helping the session flow much better than I imagine it would without someone on hand manning the camera. Angel and John work extremely well together and I really loved my first experience of a remote shoot! Thank you both so much!

When I found out that I could get assistance and tuition from John whilst working with Angel, to me it was a no brainer. I’m so out of my comfort zone with natural light lifestyle type model photography, but John was superb in giving hints and tips all the way through about looking at light differently…and just getting me to consider different angles and to use settings in a smarter way.

And it has to be said, there is no better way to spend a few hours than doing something you love with equally passionate and hilarious, genuinely nice people. Their style of working put me at ease immediately and i thank them massively for all the help and giggles today…chuffed to bits…made my weekend!

I would not hesitate to recommend Team Black's Tuition services. Having initially worked remotely with John and Angel during lockdown doing an Eshoot and Editing training over Zoom it was great to then work in person whilst they were on Tour near me. They are both very friendly and easy to get along with. Angel is simply a great model and a genuinely fun person to shoot with and for a tutor you can't get much better than John, really knows how to get the best out of natural light.
