After quite a few months of back and forthing where neither of us was able to attend a shoot, I finally had the pleasure of working with the lovely Steve on one of my all time favourite themes - post apocalypse!

With detailed pre planning and communication, Steve conveys perfectly what he wants whilst also allowing his model plenty of creative input as well. Incredibly friendly and approachable from the word go, it's more than obvious that he's full of passion for what he does and this comes across in his beautiful photos. Despite the rain and having to wade through a very cold river to get to our location, Steve was an absolute trooper, full of interesting stories and cracking jokes as we went - a good sense of humour is essential. He was happy to give direction when needed to help improve shots but allowed me more than enough creative freedom with my posing (always appreciated) and the time just flew by.

Organised, respectful, creative and overall a very warm and happy gentleman, we had a lovely time on the shoot and I can't wait to see the final images. It might have been his first survival shoot but you can bet Steve will take on any challenge come rain or shine to get that shot!

I'd most definitely recommend this lovely chap to anyone. Thanks for such a fab shoot Steve!

Well Steve is just fantastic! He suggested some local waterfall points for a shoot which I thought was fab, having lived here a while and not visited one taller than me, I thought it was a great opportunity to get creative.

Great communication from the start and good banter, and even offered a lift as well which is always a bonus when youre out in the sticks of Wales.

Steve was brilliant company to work with, and brought everything from climbing gear to biscuits which is an A+ in my book.

I would definitely work with Steve again and plan to. 100% recommended by me. Thanks again for the shoot Steve!

Once again an amazing shoot!

We half planned a spontaneous shoot at my new home! We knew we wanted to use the large Windows for natural light shots but we left the rest to free glowing creativity.

Focalpoint arrived on time ready to go very friendly to talk to and open to crazy ideas.

Second time working with focal point and not the last! Got lots planned!

Highly Recommend working with him!

I cannot fully express what an amazing experience i had on this shoot.

We planned a shoot at the waterfalls together. Pre communication was detailed down to a pair of wellies and a page full of mood board ideas!

We clicked straight away on the shoot as if we already new each other somehow.

We both have very similar views and Steve was very open to my own ideas as well as his own to widen the creative flow of the shoot.

He was really respectful and made sure I was always comfortable even if it meant taking the gloves off his own hands for mine!

Gave direction when needed and generously dropped to and from the location without hesitation.

Friendly with lots of experience to share he is very passionate about his work.

Highly Recommend! Cannot wait to see the edited version as they can only hit gold.

What a truly lovely man Steve is! Within 5 minutes of meeting him, we hit it off and the conversation didn't stop until we parted ways. We had a lot to talk about and a lot in common. The shoot itself was rainy and we both got soaked but we both put our efforts in until we were too wet to carry on!

Steve had tea and coffee in the car so instead of carrying on to shoot in the down pour, we chatted and scouted out more locations for the future.

I highly recommend him :)

What a lovely man! Despite there being delays with my train and pitstops for water and chips, & back to the car etc, Steve remained extremely patient, helpful and easy going, and very open to all my suggestions on shoot. Really enjoyed today despite the freezing cold but it has payed off as we managed to get some 'winning' shots. Great choice of location, i've never actually been to a waterfall before so the whole shoot was a new experience. I'm already looking forward to working together again for the 'nightime shoot'.

p.s i hope he takes up my advice & gets watching-

What a shoot i had today. Steve and I had been communicating for a few months and the pre-shoot communication was on point. Always discussing the ideas.

Steve was promptly on time at the agreed location and was enthusiastic about the shoot even though the weather did turn on us but did not! stop the shoot. He was clear about what ideas he had and made sure I was comfortable and safe in the possibly dangerous location.

Highly recommend Steve for shoots and cannot wait to bounce some ideas around his mind for future shoots.

Steve was company to work with, great to hang out at a waterfall with someone who loves waterfalls even more than I do!

I had my first shoot with Steve from Focal point yesterday, and despite the bitter cold it was brilliant. Our pre. shoot communication was very good so we were both aware what we wanted to obtain from the shoot. The two hour shoot went by so quickly, that we did not have time to think of the cold. Steve gave excellent directions throughout the shoot, so that we obtained some great images. We did several costume changes during the shoot. I can without any doubt recommend Steve to any model, no matter what stage of your modelling career you are at, you will not be disappointed with Steve or the end results. We are already in discussion about a second shoot when it is a bit warmer. I can only say thank you Steve for a enjoyable shoot.

Had a great location shoot with Steve at the weekend, everything was very well organised, Steve had arrived early and found the best spots to work in. He’s very chatty and easy to get on with, so time just flew by, and we had a lot of fun despite the working in the rain.

Steve let me pose freely, with only a few suggestions here and there which was wonderful. I feel that I have gained a new friend and really hope that we can work together again in the future. No hesitation recommending him to any model. x
