Due to my full-time employment, I am unable to keep my calendar up to date on here. Please contact me for dates that I am available to shoot.
Photographer with over 30 years’ experience who continues to learn about the art and develop new techniques to achieve the elusive ‘master shot’. In addition to other fields, I photograph people in many environments from weddings, portraits, through to historical re-enactments and even in freezing cold streams and waterfalls. I shoot various genres of fashion and am not interested in nude, topless, lingerie or anything NSFW. I shoot TFP or paid, depending on assignment. I will only pay a model if I approach you with an enquiry that states I am willing to pay your rates.
Looking to work with genuine and reliable models of all abilities and experience, I am based in South Wales, about halfway between Cardiff and the Brecon Beacons, although I often visit North Wales and can think of many wonderful locations to use in that part of the World too. I frequently drive for up to 4 hours each way in a day (sometimes even longer) for a shoot, so travelling is not an issue.
I avoid working in studios as much as possible, as location shoots are my preference (regardless of the weather) - particularly locations that are out in the country. Therefore shooting with me will usually involve standing in / wading through water, mud, getting cold / dirty (or both !!) tea / coffee (WARNING - I make lousy coffee). All in the name of art and the quest for that elusive "Master Shot". Wellies are essential footwear for at least some part of many of my shoots !! :-D :-D . I will point out that I regard personal safety above all else and at no time will I use a location that I feel is unsafe in anyway (believe me, there is no bigger coward than me !!!!!)
It is unlikely that shooting with me will ever get you an FPI on here, but what you will get is :-
1). A lot of edited photos e-mailed to you in a timeframe that will be discussed during our shoot.
2). A promise to have as much fun on the shoot as possible.
I have a very busy life outside of photography, thus finding time to shoot isn't always easy, but I plan in a number of dates each month at the expense of other tasks. As much as I am good natured, patient and understanding, due to an inordinate number of last minute cancellations lately, I have introduced a CANCELLATION POLICY :-
We all get sick, have last minute problems and other unforeseen circumstances to deal with and I totally understand this.If you have to cancel a shoot, we can always re-book. I may not be able to offer you a definite date immediately (due to my "other life"), but I assure you that I will get back to you with a date ASAP. If you cancel within 72 hours of the shoot and do not book an alternative date, then the appropriate negative reference will be left AT THE EARLIEST OPPORTUNITY. If you then cancel the re-booked date, a further booking is at my discretion.I shoot on location regardless of the weather and usually have "back-up" locations in mind to use should the weather be inclement. Therefore, cancelling because of the weather is subject to the above policy unless we had both agreed that the shoot was totally dependent upon the weather. To sum up,if you don't think that you are totally committed to shooting with me, please do not book me in the first place.
I thank everyone who has read this far (and even those who haven't ;-) !!) and if any of the above sounds like fun to you, please get in touch and we will see what we can arrange.
FocalPoint has 73 references; 73 recommended, 0 not recommended, 0 late cancellation and 0 no-show.
